Problem with the upper trim is mpg is not as good as xle grand highlander hybrid which has almost all the important features standard except the fog lights. Wish there was a upgrade option for that like extra 500 or something also this things are very expensive in dealerships. Staying away for now until they stop overcharging over msrp. Maybe in couple of years, it will be a good buy with fair price over msrp.

Any concerns about the long term reliability of the turbos?? I normally try to keep a vehicle for 12 years.
Think about the Honda pilot but really like the looks and size of the grand highlander
Great question about the long-term reliability… If I were going to trust any out of my cares on new tech - it would be Honda and Toyota. When I drove the pilot, it was one of the best handling vehicles I’ve ever been behind the wheel off. Grand Highlander is also amazing and I agree with you about the look and size being over the top appealing.

Turbos will last longer with frequent oil changes. .Real synthetics are more temp resistant...

Its pretty much like the old Mercedes R class Wagon that was around 13 years ago. Its bigger than a standard Highlander but smaller than the Sienna.
I never drove that Wagon. or any wagon for that matter. Maybe it's time.. ???

What is better-weak engine with better mpg. or Max engine with less mpg? If I was buying it for myself I would take the Max. if it's a family vehicle then probably the weak engine to save mpg.
Totally depends on how you drive. I like power all day long. But I don't want to live at the gas station.. but there has to be a compromise somewhere. So since i'm not towing, etc... I have to go with better mpg. :)

So which is better? Toyota Grand Highlander or Honda Pilot? Which would you buy?
For me personally, I would buy the Toyota grand Highlander because I have driven the regular Highlander in the past, and I had no issues. I love the brand and I love this new three SUV they’ve created that being said, the Honda pilot is solid and I really think it’s an awesome product.
“Beautiful intergrated screen” yea no that’s how you cut corners and just slap a screen on the dash. Ugly lazy and plain tacky. Overall 4/5😅

Glue on to the dash board info screen saves them lots of money. Many cannot do it any other way. The worst one I know is Ford with their oversized glue on to the dash board tabled screens
