This is so beautiful. I remember as a child, moving into a Civil War era home my parents found an awesome, old velvet bound photo album. Those hairstyles were amazing, and women had such amazing, long hair. Those old sepia pictures are beautiful and a little creepy.
I wonder if you could do a style revival look for medieval or renaissance beauty and fashion? Oh and I'd love to see you do a Maude Fealy look for Beauty beacons. She was so lovely!
Could you make a video about the oval brushes? My mom got an entire kit but we only know how to use the one for foundation :) Thanks!! Greetings from Costa Rica.
For some reason i have, in my mind, linked ''victorian fashion style'' to prudishness, so it was not an era that interested me, regarding style.. But i do love this modernised look :) P.S. Could you please make hairstyles with english braiding? French and Dutch braids always end up looking like abstract art on my curly head :D
Jennifer Swedberg look through some old photo albums from that time , you wouldn’t believe it. Those old sepia photos are amazing- my parents found one when we moved into our old house. It was a Civil War era house so it had some amazing stuff .
hey I'm sorry this doesn't have anything to do with this video but you did a video on bad hair days and how to fix them in 10 minutes 3 months ago? i had a question and i thought it would be better to ask it on a recent video, so i hope someone could answer haha. anyways my question is, i got a hair straightening brush and i tried it out multiple times but it always takes a long time for me to see results so is that normal or do y'all get results quickly? or am i maybe doing smth wrong? i would use it like a normal brush just way slower
+Stellar Is your hair curly? My hair gets done in 3 minutes but it's practically straight to begin with, it would take much longer on curly hair. Have you tried setting it to a higher heat?
Loepsie ahhhhhh so that's why, yep my hair is curly but not that extremely curly more like mild curls all over my hair or something like that ( sorry i don't know how to really explain it ) and yep i turn it on on the max ( aka 230°C ). I guess the straightening brush isn't for me, I'm not the most patient person out there, anyways I'm just rambling on here. Thanks a lot for answering and have a nice day :')
My favorite thing about Victorian-era bows, especially on the collar's, is the silhouette of cleavage - the _drape of the cloth over the top of the breasts_ -was deemed inappropriate and a little too scandalous. Thus, giant poofy bows were added to the neckline to cover the cleavage.
Sorry I'm on my husband's tablet so it's not a man comment so please don't freak out when you see jc Cox comment it's not him I promise it's me his wife Carolyn
Ohh, do a contemporary - version of Tudor fashion. That way, you would have done my two favorite historical periods.
