After dropping things off at Deseret Industries, I let my mom drive us home! She drives a model 3, and loved the Cybertruck! She is sticking with her model 3 though 😉
I LOVE that your Mom loves/needs fsd. Me too. Yet we hear so much about how it’s not ‘ready’ to help drivers. I NEED my fsd. It has literally saved my life often! That said - it sucks in the city… waiting for v 12!
First time i realized.. the Cybertruck has the best driver facing filming position of any vehicle... while keeping the camera inside the car. thanks to that far forward dash opening.
I wrote it as text on the screen, the conversation never got back to the negatives. The only reason I think this might be worse than other Teslas for road tripping is just the fact that the efficiency is worse. But! After we get before superchargers, I think that will alleviate that problem a bit.
7:50 They couldn't have delivered it safely with AP/FSD. The neural net model used on the cars cannot be slapped on the CT, it's a whole different geometry/height and tech (steer by wire, 4 wheel steering). The NN's have to be trained with new data from the fleet. And as we know, the fleet of CT's is VERY small right now. So while disappointing, there's no other way to do it. It can only happen with real world data from trucks out in the wild.
last year, my wife and I took our first big road trip in the model 3, and accidently muted the turn by turn direction audio - took us forever to find how to turn it back on
He thought he would become RUclips rich and famous from getting one of the first, but then reality hit when so many other people with tons of subscribers got theirs. Party over, but not before enjoying the bad side of putting your family on RUclips.
Franz and Lars already told Sandy Munro that they wouldn't be putting steer by wire into the previous models. Too much cost in redesign, engineering and tooling I would imagine
They can’t really afford a $100k vehicle, especially one that will massively depreciate by the time they are allowed to sell it. They thought they could pay for the CT by becoming RUclips famous immediately, but after all the work and invasion of privacy, they probably only made $300 in RUclips revenue. So renting it out is the only option to try and make those massive monthly payments. Keep in mind, they have kids and live modestly, coming from clapped out Honda Civics. They aren’t $100k vehicle ballers, just misguided youths.
Curious if she thinks the ride quality is better compared to her Model 3, I also own a Model 3, and the suspension ride quality is probably the worst thing about the car.
@@OurCyberLife it is not terrible, like a C- score IMO. Even had a service tech ride with me and he said that’s just how Teslas are. Section of my work commute highway is like hopping down the road.
I was wondering this too. Since I knew they wrapped it army green I googled that. There is no word on what happened, but Im guessing the payments, assuming they are making payments are onerous. Making money on RUclips is hard work and likely not worth it, Also if he did work at Tesla, maybe he was laid off in the massive layoff in April at Austin. Maybe his wife got sick or his kids. Maybe people threatened him and/or stalked his property. There are a hundred reasons to stop and very few to continue making videos.
I realize that you can't "say" what you have heard about autopilot and fsd with the Cybertruck, but I RELY on autopilot everyday and my foundation says Feb-March. i'm petrified to take possession of it and not have autopilot at least for an extended time. Would your advice be for me to let this foundation series go and wait for regular edition because of autopilot rollout timeframe or go ahead and get my foundation?
Like you said, I cannot offer any information as to when FSD will come out for the Cybertruck. If you really cannot handle not having FSD, you could wait for a normal version, but that could put you back years 😅 I don't know if it is worth the risk!
@@OurCyberLife I'm not really concerned with actual FSD. I just need the ability to stay in the lane and following distance with automatic braking. FSD can take 12 months for all I care to come to it but I need Basic Autopilot functionality NOW
@@OurCyberLife Can you give us a video of nighttime headlight functionality. Many have said they are the worst headlights that tesla makes. Curious about your opinion on them
Suddenly, the Coolest Mom on the Block...
😂😂😂 she was already the coolest mom on the block 😉
Your mom's a gem. I could sit & talk with her for hours about random subjects
She is great! Lucky to have her!
Mom throwing out the tough questions!! Lol
Hahaha! Seriously 😂
“It makes driving just so much nicer… You can’t explain it you have to experience it.” This line was Gold!
My mom is as much a evangelist of full self-driving as I am of drive by wire 😁
I enjoyed this video just to see you and your mom together. She is awesome.
I must agree! I won the mom lottery!
More videos with Mom! She's awesome
Haha! Unfortunately we are about to head back to TX, so probably won't happen 😞
Very funny, enjoyable. Impressed your Mom handles it well!
Glad you enjoyed it!
No more videos?!?

Super excited too! Been watching whole mars 😁
Thanks for all of your work!
My Model Y experience 18 months ago was fabulous.
CYBERTRUCK should be _NEXT LEVEL_
IT IS!
Mother and son . . . 💕
I know everyone says this, but she is hands down the best mother anyone could ask for!! Incredibly lucky to have her!
@@OurCyberLife Awww, you're sweet, son! Incredibly lucky to have you as my son, too!
Nice demo drive. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 😁
This was absolutely awesome lol..
I'm glad you liked watching!
Mom’s steering looks quite natural.

Amazing. Much appreciated.
You're very welcome! 😊
Model 3s do have a microphone button. You click the right ball.
Right, but they don't have a dedicated microphone button. On the CT wheel there is a separate microphone button in addition to the right wheel
New videos, please. It’s been three months already. On RUclips, consistency is key.
Great video.
Would love to hear what you didn't like. But I still want one.

I believe you are spot on!
3:09 Not a dedicated one, but you get the same function by depressing the right scroll wheel.
Right!
Y’all could at least post one more video just to thank the people that followed you and explain what in the world happened
last year, my wife and I took our first big road trip in the model 3, and accidently muted the turn by turn direction audio - took us forever to find how to turn it back on
🤣 I actually still don't know how to turn it back on, how do you do it? 😅
@@OurCyberLife if I remember, it was buried in a sub menu, not obvious…think RUclips taught us 🤓

In the shop?
Jerryrigeverything bought his truck is my guess. Then he took the wrap off and started shooting it.
Please explain the “least efficient tesla” thing. I assume it is because of the size and weight?
In terms of Whr/mi
@@OurCyberLife English please
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason 🤣 right. Because it is bigger and less aerodynamic, it uses more energy per mile than other Tesla's
@@OurCyberLife Figured as much. Thanks for confirming it.
I am still massively jealous of you. 🤣
Your mom is awesome! Is the road/wind noise actually that bad at 70 mph or is the mic just amplifying it?
I think it is totally fine, but our mics died at the DI, so this was the audio from the camera on the dash, which really hears the road noise
It is a much quieter ride than it sounds like in this video! The mic makes it sound tons worse.
Pops works at Tesla too? That's awesome. What does he do?
He does! So does my brother 😁 we are all on the same team!!!
@@OurCyberLife Very cool. Jelly
@@user-to2rf1rj5v yeah, it's a lot of fun! 😊

To do drive by wire it will need to be 48V low voltage system right?
Does it have a heated steering wheel?
Man I miss Texas.

Make a video on how bad your cybertruck will be returned from Utah. Insurance claim? Or regular wear and tear?
😃
Wait! People ride electric wheelchairs in the road?? 😮
? Not quite following this comment 😅
Scroll to the 2:29 timestamp to see the person riding an electric wheelchair on the edge of the road instead of the sidewalk
What happened to this channel? He no longer posts videos 😢
I'll be getting one soon. What's the insurance rates for the Cybertruck?
You can expect them to be awful
Did y’all get busted for posting videos or something from Tesla? Is that why you stopped making videos and you started renting it out?

The CT is so noisy. I guess they cheaped out on the sound insulation as they were setting the $100k price tag.
Curious if she thinks the ride quality is better compared to her Model 3, I also own a Model 3, and the suspension ride quality is probably the worst thing about the car.
She says it seemed very smooth her, but she has no qualms with the Model 3's ride quality either 😂

@@ericanderson3534 He worked in IT at Tesla. I don't know if he was affected by the lay-offs. That's why I asked.
Did you sell your Cybertruck to JerryRigEverything?
Yes. They had to sell. They couldn't afford the CT payments after being laid off from Tesla.

It's not as noisy as it sounds, our mics died while dropping of the stuff at DI, and so this was the audio from the camera on the dash
