I just found your channel and subscribed instantly! I absolutely love that you are just making things from scratch for your family and you don't over complicate things with gadgets and expensive ingredients. You provide for your family the same way I do and I'm here for it ❤️ My Gram used to say if you have some basic ingredients and a little know how, you'll never go hungry ❤️ So I was amazed to learn how to take some sugar and turn it into brown sugar and powdered sugar along with some other basic ingredients. Homemade always tastes better because of the love you put into it 😊 I'm definitely going to try these recipes!! I also have those containers but never even thought about freezer storage in them

It's been several days since I first watched this and I just have to tell you how much I LOVE your channel this year. For a while I had stopped watching you because almost every recipe had so much cheese in it along with pounds of meat, and I took a break. Then I noticed your weight loss, started watching again, and "WOW< WOW!!!!" Today I tried the Subway roll recipe, but I did it a little differently in that I used the weighing method, dividing the weights in half, and putting those ingredients in my bread machine on the dough cycle (knowing the whole recipe wouldn't fit). It rose over the top of the pan, spilled down the side, but didn't make a mess and was luscious dough when it was done. I had carefully read her reasoning on weighing the dough for each roll. Knowing we are only two people, I wanted smaller rolls and came out with 9 that weighed about 4 ozs each. I baked them and within minutes we ate two of them. Absolutely incredible! By far they were the best rolls I have ever made. BTW, I used 150 grams of white whole wheat and then the rest bread flour. They were still mostly too big so next time I will probably go down to 3 oz. For the last three or so years I have really appreciated using a good kitchen scale, and would really recommend that to you. Anyway, THANK you, THANK you for the channel this year, and know that I'm really with you on these new recipes.

I also bought milk crates which allowed me to seperate things and make everything easily movable. I miss having a chest freezer my fridge freezer is teeny... but I should have a pressure canner coming Monday then I can get bones for bone broth out of my freezer.

I have 2 Carey electric canners. I was scared to death of pressure canning. Once I tried an electric one I loved it! No going back! I have 2 now. You hear more food recalls from the stores and food poisoning from restaurants than you do from home canning.
