The way they introduce her with her rainbow hair foeming into shape is amazing!
That's because her hair is suppose to be the moon, David climbs Arasaka Tower to reach Lucy, his moon. Parallel to Lucy's dream of reaching the moon only to find David.
Lucy is hands-down a one the most beautiful anime femme fatale ever created .
Not only is she tough, badass and intimating when need be, but also caring, warm and cute when she starts to open up to David. A memorable anime character!

I don't think I've ever felt this emotional and stirred up after fictional content like a game, movie, show whatever... it's an incredible feeling that they made this hir so hard but so sad... classic example of wishing I never watched this masterpiece...
Amazing show, one of the best anime ever made, this is an experience not to be missed. This one really stuck with me all the time and the song is so bitter sweet and romantic man... CD and Trigger nailed this one perfectly. I love how they portrayed Night City as incredibly dangerous and you can just get your head blown off at any minute and life is so fragile and people just *poof, and they're gone...
And it's amazing that they stayed true to the Cyberpunk lore as well with UI, text font, aesthetic, places, guns, people/gangs, cyberware etc etc... You can tell so much love and passion was put into the show to show these details. 10/10!
I loved all the characters in the gang but to be honest David was starting to act like an a$$hole to the end of the show and even though he's got everyone telling him to stop pushing the limits of his body or he'll go cyberpsycho he still does it anyway to fulfil his egotistical pride and deadpan mindset, and things turned out tragic.
He's a likeable character but he really doesn't deserve Lucy honestly since she basically begged for him to stop to save his life and he not only doesn't understand but threatens to break up which hurts Lucy... What a a$$hole! Lucy really did love him and he's probably the only thing that ever really mattered to her. It was very sweet yo see them living together in the luxury apartment, it was so wholesome, Lucy seemed like she just wanted a simple life with David but David chose otherwise...

But later on she realised that David has embarked on a forsaken cyber route and yet still loves him, that's what makes her a keeper. I think despite this being a bunch of fictional characters and only 10 episodes, it deeply explores the human condition. Very impressive honestly.
He also doesn't deserve Rebecca too lol. I think this show does a great job showing the downfall of a person who strives to hard for power and abandons his humanity and what matters to him, and no one could stop him in place in ruining himself... He's a heroic idiot who witnessed how bad going insane is with all these modifications but still couldn't resist his spiral down, it's quite a tragic story since the developers are really good at making feel attached to characters and then ripping them away painfully...😣🤨
Anyways the show really did made you FEEL so many emotions by the end. Sadness, melancholy, emptiness etc etc... 😫

Turely work of art. Studio Trigger is the best in presenting color edgelight, Color it self talls story in almost every scenes differently. More times to watch will understand more of its details. Beautiful and impactful.

Fr, they didn't have to go that hard on that silky ethereal hair animation but it's cool that they did.
We see her style of character more than you think especially in sci-fi dystopias like ghost in the shell’s motoko kusanagi or cowboy bebop’s faye

She's not happy,look at lucy at the end of eps 10,she fulfil her dream,but she feels empty,because the family she have is no more,and David the guy he really love is died to,she's not even happy at moon
V Nomad ending is the happiest, by far.
They joined a new crew, they escaped night city and even if they die, they still be with her lover/best friend and a lot of people who love them.
As much as I'd love to see more from edgerunners, I also want this series to end with 10 EPs. Some of the Legendary/Iconic piece of work better left to be on its own.
I think the series would benefit if they relleas 3 special episodes one about Pilar and Rebecca one about Main and Dorio and one about Luccy and David.
The issue that most people have with this show having only 10 episodes is not only because they want more from it, but also the show has too many things to tell with just 10 episodes. There is barely any downtime or quite moments, which makes the show feels too dense to digest it all.

both of them are the best female anime characters in my opinion
I'm guessing it's partly to do with the fact that much of the mysterious femme fatale beauties came from that era of anime and this show felt like it took a lot of inspiration in character depth from the old classics. Chara designer himself said in a video interview that Lucy would have ended up resembling Motoko Kusanagi (coz you know similar hair, mysterious beauty, killer hacker skills etc.) if he didn't strictly manage what he wanted Lucy to become.

In my 22 years of living I have never cried for a show/movie, EVER. but I shed tears I'd been trying to hold back during the final scene on the moon. Cyberpunk edgerunnners did what no movie or series has ever done to me, it made me cry. The show is a phenomenal 100/10. Thank you CD project Red and trigger for such a beautiful and emotional masterpiece.
Same for me. I came close a few times, but this one made me absolutely bawl my eyes out. I can't believe how hard it tugged on my heartstrings and I'm still feeling it even after a few days.

First of all, I believe that David wasn't as ambitious and egoistic as you mentioned. Yes, David has changed a lot, especially after Maine's death. However, he did not once pursue his own dream or goal but spent his entire life fulfilling other people's dreams. In fact, David didn't even have his own dream. After Maine's death, David implants Maine's arm in himself, carrying his last words, "you run quick, remember David? Keep on running." Those words were carved deep into his soul. That's when he bulked and wasn't "organic" anymore, at least physically.
(but I still think he's mentally "organic as he was," which I'll be describing later.)
In episode 10, David was looking at Rebecca, saying, "Hey, mom, did you see? I combined to the top of Arasaka, at the top of the night city." in a childish tone of voice. This was exactly what his mother wished he could become right before they had the accident. This explains David never forgot these words, and kept them within his heart, to fulfill his mother's last words as well. This also reveals that David was still the "kid" in the past, he did all this just to accomplish the death's dream, causing the tragic ending as you've mentioned.
The second thing was that "David doesn't deserve Lucy". Honestly, I DO think that David deserves her. The reason why David told her that we should broke-up is that she's hiding something from David. (Yes, We all know that literally EVERYTHING Lucy doing was trying to SAVE David, fighting Arasaka alone, to avoid him from getting involved into this turmoil and becoming the test subject of cyber skeleton. plus, Lucy herself is also targeted. You can claim that Lucy is the person that loves David the most in the entire universe besides his mother") However, David didn't know that, and it sucks that he simply thinks that Lucy is not telling him what's happening because he's "untrustworthy", which is absolutely wrong. Yet he's so focused on pursuing other people's dreams that he simply forgets to take a close LOOK at the girl who loves him and is still alive by his side.
Now you can say that David is so stubborn and have no eyes, but this is David's "organic", how he is. Remember in episode 4, when Lucy told David that "you're the type of person who jumps into the fire for someone even though you know you'll get burned." She kissed him afterward. It shows how unusual David being such a "weirdo", an "altruism" in this cyberpunk world is, and THAT's precisely why Lucy falls in love with him right? Like you said that she finds it simple and ease to be with David, I think that's the reason. That's David, a person that holds the "brightness of humanity" in this dystopia.
Here, it seems like Lucy loves David so much, willing to sacrifice everything for him, and David just doesn't deserve it lol; but David is the person who literally sacrificed his everything for Lucy's dream at the end of this show. (Now here's the pain point.) In truth, David did not see Lucy's "true" dream😭. He thought that her dream was to "go to the moon.". However, in episode 4, remember when Lucy said, "I have nowhere else to go", and keeps on telling David that "we're different". After David said that "I'll be taking you to the moon, that's a promise!" she kissed him. There's a scene as if they were kissing on the moon. Later at the end, she said that "I just don't want you to die on me"
This entire scene just reveals how Lucy's dream has shifted from "escaping Arasaka, be free, go to the moon" into "Where ever there's David, that's where my home is, that's where I belong, David is my everything, and my dream is to let him live." (F I'm in pain now writing this omg)
So David kinda misunderstands it, but you can't deny that he loves Lucy very much, they had a conflict but that was Lucy was too eager to protect her "home", after all, he sacrificed his everything just for her "dream.". It's something I personally respect of. Ofc, this can't change that how painfully it is to watch Lucy on the moon alone in the ending. damn.
Lastly, David still lived his life as himself, from the beginning till the end. His personality, his sacrifice for others, and his love for Lucy are all the reasons why I think that David deserves Lucy, although we don't have the right to decide who deserves who, it's all their decision, Lucy is not a simp, she a smart girl, loves David for who he is. David deserves it, and he was a real man after all.
ps: It doesn't mean that I feel right with this ending, fuk. I truly think that this could have been changed, and the ending is not irreversible. (despite that this is a dystopian world) We can save David both mentally and physically, but we need Lucy's help lol.

Amazing show, one of the best anime ever made, this is an experience not to be missed. This one really stuck with me all the time and the song is so bitter sweet and romantic man... CD and Trigger nailed this one perfectly. I love how they portrayed Night City as incredibly dangerous and you can just get your head blown off at any minute and life is so fragile and people just *poof, and they're gone...
And it's amazing that they stayed true to the Cyberpunk lore as well with UI, text font, aesthetic, places, guns, people/gangs, cyberware etc etc... You can tell so much love and passion was put into the show to show these details. 10/10!
I loved all the characters in the gang but to be honest David was starting to act like an a$$hole to the end of the show and even though he's got everyone telling him to stop pushing the limits of his body or he'll go cyberpsycho he still does it anyway to fulfil his egotistical pride and deadpan mindset, and things turned out tragic.
He's a likeable character but he really doesn't deserve Lucy honestly since she basically begged for him to stop to save his life and he not only doesn't understand but threatens to break up which hurts Lucy... What a a$$hole! Lucy really did love him and he's probably the only thing that ever really mattered to her. It was very sweet yo see them living together in the luxury apartment, it was so wholesome, Lucy seemed like she just wanted a simple life with David but David chose otherwise...
I think the reason Lucy fancied David in the first place is because he was a very innocent, natural and "organic" person and wholesome, amidst all the cyber chaos, corpo scheming, gang wars and nasty business, David was a person she could feel easy with. But later on she realised that David has embarked on a forsaken cyber route and yet still loves him, that's what makes her a keeper. I think despite this being a bunch of fictional characters and only 10 episodes, it deeply explores the human condition. Very impressive honestly.
He also doesn't deserve Rebecca too lol. I think this show does a great job showing the downfall of a person who strives to hard for power and abandons his humanity and what matters to him, and no one could stop him in place in ruining himself... He's a heroic idiot who witnessed how bad going insane is with all these modifications but still couldn't resist his spiral down, it's quite a tragic story since the developers are really good at making feel attached to characters and then ripping them away painfully...😣🤨
Anyways the show really did made you FEEL so many emotions by the end. Sadness, melancholy, emptiness etc etc... 😫

他是个可爱的人物，但他真的不配拥有露西，因为她基本上是在乞求他停下来以挽救他的生命，而他不仅不理解，还威胁要分手，这让露西很伤心......真是个混蛋!露西真的很爱他，他可能是唯一对她来说真正重要的人。看到他们在豪华公寓里生活在一起是非常甜蜜的，它是如此的健康，露西似乎只是想和大卫过简单的生活，但大卫却选择了其他方式......
我认为露西一开始喜欢大卫的原因是他是一个非常天真、自然和 "有机 "的人，而且很健康，在所有的网络混乱、腐败的阴谋、帮派斗争和肮脏的生意中，大卫是一个她可以感到轻松的人。但后来她意识到，大卫已经走上了一条被遗弃的网络路线，却仍然爱着他，这就是她的守望者。我认为尽管这是一群虚构的人物，而且只有10集，但它深刻地探讨了人类的状况。说实话，非常令人印象深刻。

Lucy is my favorite character and she’s the reason why I watched this show. I hope we get to see her again. The fucked yo thing was I thought this was going to be an action show, not a Greek tragedy.
