Rory will always be my favorite behavioural marketing expert. 🥰🤑
I really love listening to a person that speaks sense. It is very rare these days! Sheesh!
Im binging Rory convos. Great information delivered by someone who clearly loves what he does.
asking people to subscribe at the beginning of the video really doesn't make sense, I just came across your channel and why would I subscribe and like before even watching the video? ask that at the end or somewhere in the middle after a part that is impressive then I would consider it or even might just do it.
I subscribed IMMEDIATELY!- not even knowing the channel- but I was interested in listening to RS.
I agreed with you 100%.
@@JoFreestoneok but why? Why subscribe to a content creator just bc they interviewed one person you liked? That makes no sense.
Now, if you went to the channel, and noticed other guest you also wanted to hear from, and you ended up liking the style and personality of the host, then ok.
But subbing to creator just bc u wanted to watch one of their videos just seems like a waste.
@@savegas2008 a waste of what? It worked!
A marketing critique right there, people missed your point it seems, I get it.
Fascinating topic - amazing guest. Thank you!! 👌
I love how every single time I see him he either goes over the allotted time, or runs up RIGHT until the last second.
Brilliant talk.
Really bastard hot - Rory is the best, great conversation
The Zoom meeting with the tap demo is proof in the pudding as Rory now uses this a case study. Pound for pound probably the best Zoom meeting the company have ever had.
I learnt about roi focused efficiency back in business school in the early 80's. We called it the accountant's preference. The saying was 'no one ever cost cut their way to success', prioritising efficiency over effectiveness. Left brain versus right brain
Thanks for interviewing Rory…
Feedback with love for Darren, people
Judge you the way you dress, you can do better than that shirt
Love me some Rory
Like a lot of social and moral change, it’s achieved because there are consequences (proper ones) if you don’t go along with it.
I’ve spent 20 years of my life in the work place (working class work places) and what’s been consistent is a majority who (broadly) share my opinions on race, sex, gender, morality etc.
A large amount of none university educated people are much more conservative (very loosely used) on many subjects than the state would like.
In the late 70’s or early 80s, Conoco had faxes, but they were only at their own sites (all of them). Of course, they also had the largest private air fleet in the world. It seemed magical, but also a huge business advantage.
on the off-chance Rory ever reads comments here: your diet/alcohol advice reminds me of a story by a slovak radio host:
An apprentice came to a master complaining that he cheated at cards, they found him out and threw him out of the window on the third floor, and that his whole body hurts. The master took a look at him, nodded and said "Next time you cheat at cards, make sure you play on the ground floor."
Some bystanders were appalled and began to complain that a great master would give such base advice and suggested he tell his apprentice not to gamble instead.
The master rebuked them: "I do not think he'd be able to stop, therefore, I gave him advice he'd actually be able to make use of."
I don't understand these RUclipsrs asking people to subscribe before they've even viewed the content...
While Sutherland may have made a specific connection between penny post and passenger rail this time, he's only making the same point Jame Burke did in the Connections series from 1978 onwards: innovation in one area leads to innovation elsewhere, either directly or, as in this case, because normality absorbs the new and allows further development in other areas.
Does having the laws pass under conservative government mean they lead the charge or does it mean that they were the last people in the way of getting certain policies passed and then stopped preventing, gay marriage or other policies, such as the EPA in the US?
I'd argue what's different about an air fryer to say a yogurt maker, is that it replaces effort without removing it totally or adding more effort than the typical method.
You can buy yogurt from home so you don't look that clever despite making a possibly more delicious yoghurt. But if you have an airfryer not only have you made food you believe is delicious. You've cut down the time from using an oven but not made it totally effortless.
Rory is amazing and has aged well like a good bottle of wine 😂😂.
Thank you
excellent content
Big thank you!
Just hearing the outlook notification go off during the recording had me sifting through emails... 🥴
The fax machine issue could've been solved by emphasizing selling fax machines in pairs.
Seriously the ads!
Ruined Rory! Jeez mate, just have a channel with your biceps and ads. Don’t ruin other people’s wisdom (in this case are Rory) with this ridiculous number of ads.
The tank top and ads will never get a sub out of me.
Thank you!!!
Re hr.. So true, and then periodically firms decide that hr needs to be reduced. Managers then have to do these tasks with no training in how to do them!
vexatious litigant is the term your looking for Rory 😇
hi Rory!!
I had to hire a lawyer to get paid for a job I did and man those two guys where the most underworked and overpaid people I've ever met. Never want to deal with lawyers again.
They’re (usually) utter vermin.
The Google glass was a failure because of the form factor. They should have looked like normal glasses.
great listening to Rory as always.
but i believe that glasses with "augmented reality" will do more damage to society than the smart phone has.
and it has caused a lot of damage.
i hope these glasses do not get adopted in my lifetime.
FYI, don't bother with subs, the whole platform is algo based now. Focus on having a strong click through to new videos at the end of your videos by quickly suggesting one specific video for those who got to the end. Also, don't ask me to sub before I have gotten anything of value from the video, you need to jab a few times before you right hook me.
I hate how you put highlights at the beginning
Rory came overdressed for this meeting
He's right about the sheer stupidity of modern economic theory. On the other hand, Mises + Rothbard for the win.
👍
virtually no one who bought google glass was happy with it.
Fine, Rory, I'll get an air fryer
I don't think this guy knows much about the US justice system. He'd get a fair trial. And juries do not sentence, they determine is someone is guilty or not. That's it.
Hmm...
I was born in 1960 in Manchester I do not remember a mangle - Rory is wrong on this point
The more I watch Rory the more I think he’s just very good at holding information, knowing these things but awful to be interviewed about sharing it; it’s like a vomit of thoughts.
35 mins of half decent content broken up by 45 mins of adverts ... so tiring
Soooo many adverts
Rory mentions the Anglican church was significantly in favour of decriminalising sodomites; both Protestant and Catholic Christianity had been well and truly captured by jews at that stage.
What's with the constant mmmhhhmmm
It's not a conversation but a talk 😊
What a stupid thing to do: 1) ask people to subscribe BEFORE watching the content. 2) say it's to help other people. That's no how humans operate. AT ALL
