Nahhhhh, they had Carolina as the better situation over Houston before the season. The excuses are done, Panthers made a mistake that they’ll regret for the rest of that young man’s career. On that 4th and 13 touchdown. I think its less that they have faith in CJ and more about the kicker got hurt with a hamstring injury so they had to go for it....but yes im sure they trusted CJ as well (Texans Fan)
If Tampa would have won, this game it would have been all about Baker Mayfield and one of his best games ever and it was just that C.J. was way better.
If you watch the breakdown of this play. stroud is special for real. Plays like that don’t just happen, he has to look off the safety and get him to bite on another route before he can throw that to Dell. That’s why I don’t believe any of this is a fluke, the guy just understands the position and has the talent and smarts to succeed. I’m excited as a Texans fan, it was a strange route to get here to CJ. Started with bill o brien and Osweilers failure to Deshaun Watson being a sexual predator and a dumb franchise like the Browns, and Lovie Smith going for 2 on the final game to give up the number 1 pick, and the panthers owner falling in love with Bryce to get here with cj as my mfkn quarterback.
Ain’t no way (IMO) the Texans are gonna be getting Marvin Harrison Jr., we lost a lot of draft capital in the last draft ofc. It would be really cool, but very unlikely, so I’d for sure be surprised.
