Great video. Subbed. To avoid honouring warranties, a lot of dishonest dealership workshops are claiming fuel "contaminated with petrol" is resulting in catastrophic diesel engine failure when it would take a big misfuel to cause any kind of issue and seem to be limited to the injectors.
Dude you're so inspiring I can't even describe! Please keep doing longer episodes as personally helps me grow in my career and the way of talking! Keep it up champion 👍👍👍
My friend once ran petrol contaminated with the diesel fuel in his old MK3 golf, it ran okay, a little smoke, but eventually the engine oil level got high, as it seems there was not enough compression to burn the diesel fuel properly, and it ended up getting past the rings into the sump!
I did this exact mistake today in my triton. 20ltrs of petrol on half tank of diesel. Immediately realised and top it off with rest of diesel. Drove 100ks and srill no issues. Topped it up again with diesel to try over dominate the petrol. People say i should drain my tank but i duno what to do. Truck runs fine so far
It's advisable to drain the tank and replace the fuel filter, even if the truck seems fine, to prevent long-term damage from the petrol in the diesel engine.
I put just 1 liter of petrol in a 2006 VW TDI before I realized my mistake.... Then immediately topped it up with 40 liter of diesel... Drove home well enough... Should I be worried or just pretend it never happened? That's very little petrol in an old diesel car. ... Also I'm just curious, how is life in Ghana for an Eastern European?
In the beginning it should have started with diesel in fuel lines thats whyt statrting was good but i think when petrol replaced the diesel in fuel line after it was consumed, tgats why it stopped giving performance
Interesting! So accidental diesel fill into a petrol car doesn't do much damage, since diesel is too dense to be ignited. But ths other way around is a disaster due to the insane injector pressures and the explosions in the cylinders.
Put 15 ltrs petrol in Deisel by mistake the label on the pump. So i topped it up with Deisel drove 12 miles no issues . Shall I leve it and top up again with diesel or have it professionally drained off.
I,ve accidentatly put 12 liters of petrol into my diesel car, drove it back home about 2-3 kilometers and my dumb a** also was reving it few times when i noticed lack of power to see what is going one. I,ve parked it under home and get to know what happened. Engine do not stall and it was working allright in neutral, besides sound that was coming when i was reving it. Tomorrow it will be taken to the service. Still hoping my injectors and pump survived it... its 2009 car with common rail.
@@オッさんタイプXの日産に乗る Do not worry too much mate. They had let down all the petrol in the workshop, filled it up with diesel, changed fuel filter and its all good. I was terrified as my car has common rail and denso injectors but it has survived it. Like i stated before, i was also heavy reving it couple times. Its going to be allright.
If you are at the pump and realize you have put gas fuel into your diesel truck do not attempt to drive it home call a tow truck get it home siphon out the tank and put in 1 gallon of marvels mystery oil 2 pints of transmission fluid and 1 quart of diesel kleen cetane booster and fill it up with diesel let it sit a few days to let everything congeal and then drive away
I know the petrol car would not run for two reasons ,one reason is because ive done it before i accidentally put diesel in my old petrol car and and it never worked right again but it was a very old car, and the other reason is diesel doesn't ignite and the spark just wont ignite the diesel . diesel has to be vrey hot to ignite and needs higher compression in the cylinder than a petrol engine can produce .

This is by far the best car experiment i have ever seen. Champion, you're doing a great job

Same thing happened with my car today😅
I’m surprised the diesel didn’t also blow a head gasket. Interesting about extrusion or erosion of the injectors. Nope, will not do that at home! 😂
Thank you for your comment champion
I always thought that petrol in a diesel would cause an explosion?
now you know the truth 😂
It’s a triton of course it likes it
😁👍
Hello champion, thank you for your comment
it could be damage your piston

Which is worse, petrol in a diesel car or diesel in a petrol car?
Putting petrol in a diesel car causes more damage than putting diesel in a petrol car
