About a month ago with my VW Golf Mk5 TDI 2005 make model I had about a bit less than half tank diesel (maybe 20 liters) and added by accident around 7 liters of petrol (benzin as we call it here) so it was around 2/3 diesel and 1/3 gasoline in the tank, but I did not register it then and it was when I drove home. Then tomorrow I was on a trip of around 300km, and I did have some trouble with starting the engine later that day but did not know why, about 3 starts in all. However in the morning the car started without issues while I did not drive it, and that afternoon I added about 30 liters of diesel, and was again on a 300km trip and there where no issues perceived overall. While luckily I never got below half tank and I was adding more diesel fuel over the month, as I drove the car, at about another ~50 liters. Only now after a month, I was looking at the Invoices for fuel and I see that gasoline instead of diesel was put then, and while I did not perceive any issues overall, now that I have looked at a few videos including yours, my guess is it did not make unrecoverable damage since the car is running more or less fine and I am not an agressive driver. But I wonder should I maybe replace the fuel filter now, or wait for the next service in ~3500km when the oil change comes up to change both fuel filter, oil and oil filter, air filter (the regular small service for car as it is called here).

It isn't the lack of spark. There's enough heat from compression to ignite properly atomized gasoline. There ARE experimental compression ignition gasoline engines in the works that ignite just fine. The problem is controlling the burn to avoid detonation. Diesel fuel is a much longer hydrocarbon chain and burns much more slowly, so it's easy to have a flame front that is properly controlled by injection. Being that gasoline is so much shorter of a hycrocarbon chail, it needs a finer injector mesh to properly atomize for a proper burn.

A friend of mine filled a 1/4 of my diesel Toyota Rav 4 2003 model with petrol recently. It started just fine and drove for about 1 km before it had no power to drive forward anymore. My father towed us to his repair shop and we drained the tank as much we could. Now it runs just fine again. It did make some strange noises just after you started it, but nothing more.

On most modern diesels cars they will generally stall when it starts trying to ignite the Petrol and refuse to start.
Depends how much you put in before realising to be honest. If it's only like 5 or 6 litres or less you can just fill up the rest with diesel and that solves the problem.
If you have put over a 3rd of a tank into it then I advise draining all that petrol out. The mixing trick will not work well if at all with that much petrol in the mix.
PS: That's my personal experience based only on Ford TDCi type engines by the way.

A small amount will burn off the valves and seriously overheat it. But very much and it won't start. My broth just put 10 gallons of diesel in his Chevrolet Cobalt. It was gutless and over heated be fore he got home. We drained the gas tank, and it is fine. I'm glad it was only 3 blocks from the gasoline station.

If you put petrol into diesel car all you need is to add 5 letter engine oil and top it with more diesel, done ✔️

Wen filling the first car with petrol u shud hv pre-mixed the fuels coz now u jus hv the petrol sitting on top of the diesel in the tank while the car is still getting diesel thru its pumps. Plus topping 45ltres with 25litres does not give u a 30% mix n ontop of that u didnt account for fuel in reserve. All that is IF the fuel mixed which it didnt

Sloshing while driving mixes things up pretty quick, as does just pumping the aerated gasoline. The up to 10% methanol in the gasoline also helps combine the fuels. The result is, you're partially right...until 30 seconds of driving have passed.

Put 2 stroke oil into the petrol and try again to run the diesel on it

Diesel is heavier then petrol. So in your rest you never got the gasoline into the engine. Try again.

      It 100% mixes
Density varies between petrol and diesel, but you and so many other people make it seem as though it’s equivalent to crude oil in water…. Between petrol and diesel, we are talking about a negligible difference. Doesn’t mean you should test it with high concentration, but it ABSOLUTELY mixes
