  • Erik from Farpoint Farms Reviews his Honda FG100 Mini Tiller. Its a great quality unit that is capable of doing some pretty heavy chores around the house, but would work nicely in any yard big or small.

    A Neighbor just threw one out. I took it in my garage cleaned it all up and have it running like brand new. I just like to pull the cord and listen to it run I have no need for it ha ha. I do live in one of these new postal stamp size yards in Florida. You are correct. Miss my acre and a half in Connecticut, but I don’t miss all the work it took to keep it done

    Just found one on the side of the road. Doesn't look like it's been used in 10 years and the varnish-smelling fuel in it proves that. 2 primes and full choke and it started ONE pull lol😂 Guess they're good machines🤷‍♂️
    Update, just realized the transmission is inoperable/ stripped so i will be returning it to the side of the road where i found it. Oh well!🤷‍♂️

    I wonder how the longevity is of these tillers . ...so many people complain of rings going bad from dusty air filters to the transmission going bad. Could be just the folks who didn't look after them complaining. People who have them seem to like them. Thanks for posting .

    • @FarpointFarms

      This one has to be almost 20 years old or older now. No issues at all.

    didnt think you were supposed to operate the unit with the wheels on.. i thought the wheels were for transportation only

      Digging wheels no. Tiller yes and I believe, but not in front of mine, you can adjust the wheels. I dont use them. You do with rhe edger. Dethatcher breaks pretty easily, no replacement tines, only bad attachment.

    I think you are supposed to take the wheels off during use and it uses the depth bar.

      It helps with traction, our entire yard is 1 giant hill and if the grass is wet then you will go off a cliff if you are not careful.

    Aren't the 2 wheels for transport only????

    • @themarcula
      @themarcula Год назад

      Yes. The manual (available online for free) states the wheels are for moving the unit around your property. There is a drag bar that is used during tilling that stabilizes the unit. The person above also read the manual. Since the youtube poster got the unit secondhand, he may not have the manual.

    Are you spreading weed seeds doing it that way ?.

    • @FarpointFarms
      @FarpointFarms  6 лет назад +1

      To some extent, But dealing with weeds is all just a part of having a garden. It seems like no matter what method I used to combat, them they find a way.
