I lost my father years ago. I never got to do anything like this with him. I regret that. We never made the time. Seeing you and your son brought tears to my eyes wishing that my father and I would have taken the time to have done this. Thanks for a great story.

Yes, it is a blessing that I had the chance of doing this adventure with my oldest son, specially that he is a meried, has a wife, two beautiful daughters, my grand daughters, and a heavy schedule work. Anthony, I am sure you had other beautiful experiences with your father. And if you have the opportunity of accomplishing with some obe you love, this type of adventure I fully recommend it. 4 years ago I did I great motorcycle trip with my only daughter, from Mexico all the way to the artic circle north Fairbanks Alaska and back, just her and me on my BMW. Good tips too (soft vs hard paniers, tools, anti-bear spray!, accommodation, etc.), and what I think is really top: among the many TAT and RTW videos I've watched, you are the first guy who does this journey on a motorcycle and who does not feel just 'lucky' to be there or 'proud' of his/her achievement, but who goes one step further (or higher): at 13:35 you show that you are grateful to the Lord for that trip, for the beauty of nature -- His creation. This is awesome! I wanted to do an overland trip with my Dad that passed away a few years ago, now that I ride adventure bikes I would love to pass the bug and possible do a ride with my daughter one day. I am happy for you Javier.

I have three boy and one daughter, and yes it is worth making a trip like this that will never be forgotten. With my daughter a did a solo trip just her and myself from Guadalajara Mexico to Alaska and back, the two in one bike, 39 days, 11,500 miles round trip. Beside the beauty of making this trips, the bond you make with your children in incredible. If you want to see the documentary made of this Alaska trip see in youtube the following name: Alaska by Motorcycle Father and Daugther. I looked forward to the trip with my Dad because I figured it would be a great bonding session for us. The trip would have also created lifetime memories. I still remember a trip we did back in the early 90s together with him and my brother, both of whom have passed on. Maybe one day I will get to ride in Mexico, I will look you up. Great video. Thank you for sharing. My son and I rode bicycles from Pittsburgh PA to Washington DC on the Great Allegheny Passage then the C&O Towpath bike trails last year. NOW, we have KLRs. We are making our first trip in September to Nova Scotia. We are looking at the TAT or the Continental Divide Trail as a future ride. Your points echo others and are a good reinforcement of lessons learned.

This is awesome! I wanted to do an overland trip with my Dad that passed away a few years ago, now that I ride adventure bikes I would love to pass the bug and possible do a ride with my daughter one day. I am happy for you Javier.
My friend, I appreciate your message. To bad you could't make an adventure trip with your Dad, but for sure plan one with your daughter. I have three boy and one daughter, and yes it is worth making a trip like this that will never be forgotten. With my daughter a did a solo trip just her and myself from Guadalajara Mexico to Alaska and back, the two in one bike, 39 days, 11,500 miles round trip. Beside the beauty of making this trips, the bond you make with your children in incredible. If you want to see the documentary made of this Alaska trip see in youtube the following name: Alaska by Motorcycle Father and Daugther. @@javiermexico1065 OH, wow! I will definitely look for and watch the video. My daughter's are 12 and 9, I think the 9 year old is more adventurous so I believe she will be the one to do this one day. I looked forward to the trip with my Dad because I figured it would be a great bonding session for us. The trip would have also created lifetime memories. I still remember a trip we did back in the early 90s together with him and my brother, both of whom have passed on. Maybe one day I will get to ride in Mexico, I will look you up. @@javiermexico1065 Thank you for the reply. I'm also 61! I stopped riding hare scrambles and motocross a couple years ago. I have several bikes and ride trail, dual sport and road. I rode the Mid-Atlantic BDR this past September on a DR650. I'll ride the TAT in a couple years when my friend retires. We go on many adventures together.

Great video. Thank you for sharing. My son and I rode bicycles from Pittsburgh PA to Washington DC on the Great Allegheny Passage then the C&O Towpath bike trails last year. NOW, we have KLRs. We are making our first trip in September to Nova Scotia. We are looking at the TAT or the Continental Divide Trail as a future ride. Your points echo others and are a good reinforcement of lessons learned.

I've watched everyone of your videos you are an amazing person my friend wish there were more people like you in this world. I just got my first enduro (KLR 650) I have no idea how to even start vlogging on it.
Great vid with the exception that it was the KLR that seem to have all the problems. LOL I ride a KLR
KLR's are great bikes, consider this bikes were rented bikes, and they did their job well, at the end we drove for 7 days and made it back safely.
