Echoes of wisdom was a decent semi-return to form for zelda, but it wasnt amazing. Mario party jamboree is probably the best mario party since 8,but mario party just isnt goty material. and the mario & luigi game doesnt seem super great so far (only at the end of chapter 1 but still)

Nintendo sucks. I grew up with the SNES and N64. Back in the day they were the dudes. Then around the time the game cube was ending its run and the PS2 was winning they began to slip. Pc xbox and PS took over. And Nintendo stayed in the past but without any of the grooviness. They deserve nothing. The only thing they've done well in a decade was the two new Zeldas and even that's overrated af. Then you add in all the legal bs they've been doing and honestly Nintendo deserves a downfall. A complete one.
while the n64 wasnt terrible im personally not a huge fan of it mainly with how the catalog is so limited compared to the ps1 and japanese saturn, but yeah their consoles havent been good since the gamecube, that was imo their best console in terms of first party quality. the ds is my personal favorite handheld from them, its legit genius. 3ds was 240p and had low quality tn panels with mismatched resolution for ds games, pretty overrated. wii u was slop, and the switch started great, then fell off, hasnt been good since 2020 with the steam deck mogging it. ive owned most nintendo consoles since launch most of my life and its just been a downward trend which is why ive decided to just upgrade my pc to AM5 and emulate the switch, im sick of nintendo not putting in the effort of their hardware to offer actual value.

Technically Nintendo did have games out for 2024 whether it is was new games, remakes, ports, and/or remasters. New games like Mario and Luigi brothership, Zelda echos of wisdom, princess peach, famicom detective club emio the smiling man, and Mario party jamboree. As for remakes, ports, and remasters, Nintendo had Luigi’s mansion 2 and paper Mario a thousand years door. I believe that should be all of the first party games for Nintendo in 2024. I could be missing a Nintendo first party game but I think I got them all. I’m not sure, I’ll probably look the first party 2024 releases for the year again. So to say that Nintendo didn’t release much of anything in 2024 is somewhat wrong. But we are in the final year for the switch to be Nintendo’s primary focused console. As for me, I never cared about the game awards at all. The first time I even heard about the game awards was in 2018 or 2019. I rarely watch it anyway. I just look up anything that was revealed at the game awards after like I always do. That’s not that much for Nintendo’s first party releases in 2024. Plus Nintendo wasn’t really at the game awards anyway. Just like e3, I knew of e3 since 2009 or 2010 because of game informer when I was 12 or 13 when I was in 6th or 7th grade. But I didn’t watch e3 until 2018 or 2019 when I first owned a switch in the last two weeks of June in 2018.
You missed a few more, Another Code Recollection which was a remake, Mario vs DK which was a remaster, Endless Ocean Luminous which is new but it was easily the worst game they released. It isn't like they didn't have anything, but it was a weak year. To be fair no one should care for the awards, minus the reveals to see what is coming next, as that is the only thing of interest.

As for me, I never cared about the game awards at all. The first time I even heard about the game awards was in 2018 or 2019. I rarely watch it anyway. I just look up anything that was revealed at the game awards after like I always do. That’s not that much for Nintendo’s first party releases in 2024. Plus Nintendo wasn’t really at the game awards anyway. Just like e3, I knew of e3 since 2009 or 2010 because of game informer when I was 12 or 13 when I was in 6th or 7th grade. But I didn’t watch e3 until 2018 or 2019 when I first owned a switch in the last two weeks of June in 2018.
You missed a few more, Another Code Recollection which was a remake, Mario vs DK which was a remaster, Endless Ocean Luminous which is new but it was easily the worst game they released. It isn't like they didn't have anything, but it was a weak year.
To be fair no one should care for the awards, minus the reveals to see what is coming next, as that is the only thing of interest.
I wouldn't consider remakes or remasters a new game tbh so I'd bring that list down a bit as much as I like better versions of old games
@ I wasn’t counting them as apart of the new games that Nintendo released as they weren’t in the new games for 2024 that was released that I had listed. It was just apart of the first part games that Nintendo has released for the switch this year in 2024. Whether they were ports, remasters, remakes, and new games for Nintendo’s first party games this year in 2024 for Nintendo.

Well yea, this year was a transitional year from the switch to the next Nintendo console. Most of Nintendo’s developers are most likely focusing on the next console for Nintendo. As we only know two new first party Nintendo games which are legends z-aand Metroid prime 4 beyond and I believe another port or remaster of a game which I don’t remember what it was at the current moment for 2025.
E3 was big when I was a kid. I had the opportunity to go the last E3 after they stopped allowing the public and I'm still kicking myself for not taking the opportunity. Especially since it turned out to be the last E3 ever.

Assuming that it's suited to your tastes, I couldn't recommend Balatro highly enough, it's cheap, well refined & highly addictive, despite appearances it's more a deckbuilder than a poker game, there's a very good reason it won 3 awards.
