So, I watched... And my puppies both did the same thing, licked the brush to start, then chewed the brush, loaded it up with toothpaste and hey presto... The start of a new routine that I was dreading.. Thankyou for the help

Adorable little pup:) I need to start brushing my Yorkie's teeth. Bit nervous to use water additives. Wish they would make poultry flavor toothpaste for humans. Maybe chicken wing flavor.

Day 1:
Used it on both of my yorkies (6 yrs.), and while they were hesitant, they both (while using my hands) got toothpaste in their mouth, and went through all the teeth and gum!

My yorkie does not let me brush her teeth. I need help
My yorkie is 3.5 lbs and has a tiny mouth. I use a micro toothbrush for cats so size is relative to us using a toothbrush. She seems to not mind that as it doesn't stretch her lips or mouth much. I also use organic unprocessed virgin coconut oil & dogs naturally love it, plus mine needs the added fat in her diet anyway. Of course she trusts me & basically lets me do whatever I want to her anyway We are very close. Too bad ur not close, they would make a great couple play date.
Do you brush Teddys teeth everyday or how often should a person brush their yorkies teeth? I have two yorkies, one is 2.5yrs old and when she was 6 months I tried to brush her teeth for the first time and she hated it and she still hates it and I’ve only tried a handful of times now. I noticed some tartar build up on two of her teeth and I’m worried.. can I reverse this and remove the tartar myself ?! 😭 I don’t want her to have teeth problems

You need to quit worrying so much about what your dog thinks about the experience and you need to grab a hold of the dog's head and basically Force brush their teeth whether they like it or not because the point is to get their teeth brushed not please them not only that you're not ripping their leg off so don't worry about it and just brush their teeth not only that I'm sure for a fact rotting teeth is much more painful for a Yorkie than brushing their teeth

Make it positive and get them used to your fingers in their mouth. Use lots of treats!

I have a tiny Yorkshire terrier 6 months now I’ve been trying to brush her teeth and she’s like no way! I been for a month putting it on my finger but no luck. What else can I do?
Try putting your finger near her mouth with a treat. If she lets you touch her mouth treat her. The. Touch her mouth for a few second and if she lets you treat her then try putting your finger in her mouth. If she doesn’t fuss treat her. You’ll have to try this multiple times.
Well done. I have tried with my 3 Yorkies and has not gone well. I will keep trying
