I am so grateful you share with us so much. A lot of crafters are incredibly greedy with knowledge when in truth, there is nothing new under the sun in regards to crafting paper. There really is just personal preference. And you showing us doesn't take away from your sales. It brings the true perspective to your customers. If anything, it helps them be more appreciative and less likely to want to haggle on price when you show the labor of love. It can take me 45 hours to make one journal if I let myself. I know you know what I mean. It took me 70 hrs for an heirloom I made for my best friend because I went nuts. It's not like people just have that kind of time and resources. People will always want journals. they will always want custom made for them. No one can make what we each make ourselves. There will always be another customer, another fair, another holiday for gifts. Another chance. Sharing across makers just creates a community of support in abundance as opposed to a community based on fear, threat and competition. These videos help me feel like I'm not alone as a maker. Thank you.

I love this tutorial, and the book is lovely. I noticed your breast cancer ribbon tattoo and have been wanting to ask you for a very long time now if it’s a memory for somebody you’ve lost. I lost a sister in 2009 from breast cancer and I have another sister who is losing a battle to breast cancer now. .She was a ten yr survivor and then 2 yrs ago it came back on other side. . It’s such a horrible thing to watch somebody go thru. . I know this sounds weird but on got on you tube to distract me cause I’ve been crying all day. This tutorial helped me to take my mind off of it temporarily. I love your tutorials. Thank you so much .

Hi Jessica, love your journals !! 😊
Here in Australia I go to our local news printers and get the news paper end of roll paper for covering the bottoms of my cake boards. They are awesome and only cost a dollar or two depending on what is left on the rolls. When they get so far with them and there is a chance of running out during printing they change the rolls. Maybe this could help you. I hope so as they have saved me a lot of money over the 40 years of my professional cake decorating and teaching. Lol now I'm using it for art.
Hope your local printers can help you too.
Keep up your beautiful work 👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹
