Patch work THE BEST.. I completely stopped what I was working on and made 3 covers - unfinished, but had to get them made.. oh my word !! The best ✅👍👍👍👍
So sorry watching and following on tv so not been commenting ✅👍👍👍👍👍 You are my hero.. no doubt about it. The most amazing artistic inspirational talented gal in this highly addictive crazy JJ world of ours!! I am creating these as we speak.. 4 as a matter of fact.. oh yes tombo too expensive for #step one especially if stitching. Just covered 3 triscut cracker boxes and 2 dry onion soup packs boxes ( these are so dang adorable Stitches and ready this morning Now covered 2 larger ( cereal) I’m creating 2 wedding guest book/ first year memory Junk journals All thanks to you miss J Hugs have a great day
Thank you so much you are kind to show your steps, I really appreciate you. Look forward to all this series. God Bless. Friend from North Georgia Mountains
I think I told you before I’ve gone back 5 years of your videos when I was unwell and hubby had a heart attack just as I was ready to begin again and created a “paper terrace” reference journal. It’s absolutely amazing!! I’m so happy I took the time to do this during a time w I had zero time or ability to create a cup of tea!!
For the ribbon ties....I tear strips of muslin to go almost through the book and sew ribbon to each end. The muslin part gets hidden and I don't use so much ribbon.
This wasn’t boring at all! Loved the video technique. The journal covers look beautiful. The tips on how you do your fabric covers are very helpful. Looking forward to more in the series.
I haven't watched video yet, but I'm already excited about this series (just got through reading all the comments). Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Hi. I have a suggestion. You may want to think about gluing all of the cardboard with the mod podge. Let all 30 or what have you, dry. Then iron using Parchment paper. Just a thought. The dry mod podge will adhere to the fabric or paper by ironing. The glue melts. This may be too much. I know. ❤❤🎉 Another way it to use heat n bond.
Have you tried using a rotary cutter to cut the fabric? I have found using scissors takes longer and if it doesn’t need to be perfect straight lines, you can cut pretty quick 😊 I love these videos. Thank you for making them
I love series like this, it’s always good to see how different artists make their mass making journals, Great video, really looking forward to the rest, Thank you xx😁💐🦋( uk)
Thank you so much for this series Jessica! Just in time. I think everyone is getting a journal for Christmas this year. Big family=mass making! Beautiful fabric by the way!
oh definitely on to part two :) I have been thinking of making a few journals, but not really sure how to go about the 'production line' like you do. Thanks for making this series, much appreciated.
I really like your method for covering the boxes. I have to say making covers is not my favorite thing to do. I get very intimidated. Will try your way and see how it goes. Thank Jennifer! xoxo
I think you provide the best series for mass paper making I've seen. I've watched different parts at different times in my journal making journey and you help make it so much easier. Thank you so much for taking the time to video your process. it's a job, for sure, but well worth it the way you do it!❤️
I really like this series. I can't wait to see the next one. It's a good idea to see what and how other crafters make their journals. I love the assembly line style. I think it's faster journal making. Now that I see you start with the cover, I can mass make the embellishments to match. Thank you for sharing. Hugs from Arizona...:)
I love it, perfect timing! My crafting buddy is finally coming to visit again at the end of August and we have a mass journal production planned! Yippee!
Looking forward to watching this series. Thank you for sharing this idea. I have made several mass making ephemera but never tried mass making the journal. This is inspiring. Hugs...
Thank you Jessica. This series will be a great help to me. I have wondered how to go about making more than one journal at a time. TYFS your ideas and the process you use.
You are amazing! I can’t thank you enough for doing this series. And, yes, part 1 has made me excited about doing journals like this. Can’t wait to get started! Thank you for so generously sharing your talent and skill with all of us. WOW!❣️
Have you ever tried to use Heat n bond for attaching your fabric to the cardboard? I have started using it because of the very same reason you mentioned, it is so much more cost effective.
Yes………enjoyed watching you batch craft. As I begin my new projects I decide how many pieces will be in that collection. Then I do each step for all the books/albums etc at the same time. Makes making the books so much more fun to me. I love playing with my pages and deciding which ones to use🤗🤗🤗 Looking forward to watching this series on your channell🤗🤗🤗 🥰
Good morning Jessica, Long long time watcher NEVER any ads, however in the past couple of weeks you tube has changed formats and you are getting bombarded with ads and the skip button does not work. You will be cut off in mid sentence. ..just letting you know. Thanks, love ur work over the years.
Worse part for me choosing my signatures !! I’m still very slow. I’m admitting this method has helped my recovery perfectionist process ( sometimes) My head knows and pictures exactly what I want to do .. finding that right “thing” is difficult. So thank you SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS PART
This is brilliant! I have looked everywhere for a die that cuts big book covers out and it seems they don't make them bigger than about 5 inches. I'm definitely going to try this!
Have you ever used yes paste? It is really amazing for albums and journals. It's like a Vaseline texture. You can apply it with like a sponge pouncer thing and I think it would last longer then mod podge. It takes a long time to go through a jar of yes paste. It doesn't cause wrinkles I highly recommend trying it. Love your videos. ☺️
Thank you for sharing your process with us Jessica! Where did you get your metal nameplates/bookplates and brads? I didn't find an amazon link in the description of your video. I'll be on the lookout for your other videos!! :D
love your videos (greetings from Albany!! same state, only 60+ miles south) Looking so forward to the rest of your series. xoxo (PS: what do you do with these journals? I suspect, sell them....seriously, I am new to this)
Great video and ideas. I would like to watch the rest of the series. There were a lot of commercials. If possible maybe take out a couple? Thanks for sharing.
@@PaperTerrace I always love your money saving videos, so I'm too cheap to pay for ad free lol. I respect this is a source of income so I understand. Thanks for your reply. :)
You do such a good job making and explaining your journal process. Can you list where you purchase the decorative pieces, ribbon, metal front piece, etc.?

One more idea. I just tried this today and I love it. Liquitex Gloss Medium. It worked like a charm. Just something to think about.
Great video. It was really helpful for me who is planning her first ever cover. Thank you ❤

Wow thank you for sharing this looks like a lot of work but it looks simple enough for me to make
This wasn’t boring at all! Loved the video technique. The journal covers look beautiful. The tips on how you do your fabric covers are very helpful. Looking forward to more in the series.
I definitely use a larger brush except for edges. Saves time and effort for me
Fantastic! I take so long to complete one journal, thinking I will mass make items and put journals together later !
Ditto to what Lynn Martin said. Its so helpful to watch your steps and hear about your tips.
I haven't watched video yet, but I'm already excited about this series (just got through reading all the comments). Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
I am so excited to see part 2

I love the tombow glue. A little goes a long way. I use the other end because it's a bigger opening and speeds up the process. 😁

oh definitely on to part two :) I have been thinking of making a few journals, but not really sure how to go about the 'production line' like you do.

I have problems with that too. When I saw she throws a lot of different things in each signature, I was like "yea, I can use up my stash".
super beautiful everything a lot of work
