Great video buddy 👍🏻 I love welding and fabricating, I make a lot of my own implements/attachments and upgrades for my tractor.. it’s saved me a lot of money over the years
@@TheHomePros6221 you did a great job man, seems to really do the trick. Teeth on the end will be a great addition as you’ll be able to saw through bigger roots even better. I plan on buying a mini excavator myself very soon and watching these videos gets me excited. Thinking about buying a bobcat E20
I was really rushed to get the video out so I will def be doing some upgrades to it, it was getting dark and I was tired so I’ll prob do a quick video of it after. I really appreciate you watching!!
@@TheHomePros6221 did you have an update on the ripper? How's it holding up? Any changes you would make? What thickness plate did you use. Is it like the AR500? Thanks for the inspiration!
@@alan0166 yes it is still holding up great no problems at all!! I cut teeth along the front of it which helps tremendously!! If I could change anything I would have made it longer to reach the deeper roots
Mate that’s an awesome ripper you’ve made and works well softening up the stump. Next on your list will be a quick attach to swap out for the bucket. I didn’t think such a small excavator would be so versatile
Good video. I saw this was about a 2 year old video. How's the little excavator holding up? Issues, problems likes dislikes parts availability etc... thanks.
That thumb would be more efficient if you had a hydraulic ram attached to it and a curved claw at the tip. A Serrated edge on the back side of your tooth would catch the roots good to push them away and upward.
Perfect size ripper tooth for that mini. Good job buddy thanks for posting! Did u make one out of mild steel? iv been thinking about making one but been so damn buzy lol...
Do you have a update video on modifications? This is cool and I need something like this but these tree in your video looks small and stumps look dry. I 'm working on removing white Ash stumps 18-20" and Hackberry in the same diameter or slightly larger. These are recently cut like less than 8 months ago and been a struggle to break out the lateral roots
I did a lot of mods after I made this video I cut serrated teeth on it and made it a lil longer..ect I know the stumps look dry but they were hickory trees that were cut about two weeks before and they are extreamly solid they are the hardest stumps to pull up because they have very long tap roots
Hey,what is the thickness of the material?Maybe you said in the video and I missed it :) I'm planning to make something for my Bobcat(3T). Thanks in advance!
Good job Darrell! Some serious cutting in that steel! It make short work of those roots.
Thanks brother
Looks like it works great 👍
Thanks for posting!
thanks!!

We need more commercial mower content. Love you watching the channel. Hope you have a video like that soon.
@@kennybiggs3944 I have lots of them coming up soon I promise
Lots of diesel mowers, and commercial stuff
Can’t wait I like the way you fig out problems and how you deal with it has helped me out a lot on my projects
Love the ripper. Nice work. Also, I love your work shed.
Thanks 👍

Thanks 👍🙂🙂
Great video and build! I imagine that would work great for demolishing a shed or wood structure.
It does pretty well but I’m currently making a updated video of it thanks for watching!
Nice job, when you make the changes be sure to do a follow up video.
Will do!
Great work. Looks great. Works great.
thank you so much!!
Looks like it turned out perfect, thanks for the video
I did a lot of modifications after this vid like cutting teeth in it and other things
te quedó realmente bueno, saludos desde santiago de chile
🙂
awesome
thanks for watching
Bom travaille félicitations

It’s been a great lil machine so far, the yanmar engine has worked flawlessly as well

@@allenmkent9141 yes I added the serrations and other improvements later off camera, this is a older video
Cool build!
I'm glad you like it

Hey bud! Thanks for commenting! I made this out of hardened steel, how’s the log cabin coming along?
@@TheHomePros6221 Been busy with it, a lot of work. Just figured out how expensive OSB boards are, think my heart skipped a beat.
It’s crazy!!! Isn’t it? Osb a year or two ago was like $12 now it’s like $50-$60!!

Looks great!!! How long is the cutter tooth from the plate to the tip?
I THINK ITS LIKE 16''
You might want to make a modified thumb where the sides of the thumb are close to the sides of the tooth to form a shear for some of the roots.
Yea that would be cool I’ve actually made a bunch of modifications to this ripper since this video
What drill are you using for the pin holes? Any brand you recommend? Good video as always!
Just a old dewalt drill
@@TheHomePros6221 sorry, I meant, what drill bit, or perhaps hole saw.
I think it’s a Lennox or Milwaukee bit but I’m really impressed with how many holes I’ve drilled in tough metal and it’s still sharp as new!
@@TheHomePros6221 I got a cheap kit with a few sizes and they didn’t last one hole…
Lol make sure to keep them cool with oil the whole time also it makes em last so much longer
Buddy that tool you made just might do the trick for you looks good
Thanks I upgraded it a lot after I made this vid
If you sharpen the back of the ripper into a blade you can push it and cut through roots.
I actually did after making this vid
Hey,what is the thickness of the material?Maybe you said in the video and I missed it :) I'm planning to make something for my Bobcat(3T). Thanks in advance!
I really can’t remember but it’s been holding up well, I made some mods to it and made teeth on it
I put a edge on my ripper tooth. I need a quick attachment for changing out attachments
a quick attach would be really nice! I’m going to be building a grading bucket in a future video I just need to get a plasma cutter
Run a few beads on the edges and you'll have some hardness to it.
It'll would work better with serrations cut into it too.
es posible que publiques las medidas? can you post the measurements?
I will have to get them
What happened with the first stump??
I ended up doing modifications to the ripper like cutting teeth in it and other things after I made this video so I never got it on cam
From what I've seen thus far it's way too thin and way too weak. I'd bend that using it to pull a turn plow on a small garden tractor. Just Say'n
It’s wayy stronger than it looks on camera I have used this thing to rip out tons of stumps and haven’t came close to bending it
