      @@TheHomePros6221 you did a great job man, seems to really do the trick. Teeth on the end will be a great addition as you’ll be able to saw through bigger roots even better. I plan on buying a mini excavator myself very soon and watching these videos gets me excited. Thinking about buying a bobcat E20

      @@alan0166 yes it is still holding up great no problems at all!! I cut teeth along the front of it which helps tremendously!! If I could change anything I would have made it longer to reach the deeper roots

    That thumb would be more efficient if you had a hydraulic ram attached to it and a curved claw at the tip. A Serrated edge on the back side of your tooth would catch the roots good to push them away and upward.

    Do you have a update video on modifications? This is cool and I need something like this but these tree in your video looks small and stumps look dry. I 'm working on removing white Ash stumps 18-20" and Hackberry in the same diameter or slightly larger. These are recently cut like less than 8 months ago and been a struggle to break out the lateral roots

    • @TheHomePros6221
      @TheHomePros6221  Год назад

      I did a lot of mods after I made this video I cut serrated teeth on it and made it a lil longer..ect I know the stumps look dry but they were hickory trees that were cut about two weeks before and they are extreamly solid they are the hardest stumps to pull up because they have very long tap roots

  • @paulj5813

    You might want to make a modified thumb where the sides of the thumb are close to the sides of the tooth to form a shear for some of the roots.
