Cherub Rock probably the best and i think Billy thought the same!
KingZora13 Is
genius
Uaauhhhh,friday I' m not love
You never would of seen Billy put his arm around james back in the day. It's awesome to witness their friendship blossom after everything that happened. I'm 39 and have been listening to SP since 12 yrs old. Started playing bass guitar at 14 and i still love this band. I finally got to see them at their opening show for the reunion tour. Best 3 hrs ever! Wish they would hire me as their bassist haha🤪.
Just doesn’t seem right without a female bassist 🤣
it seems better
If you're good enough, audition for the slot. It may be open.
We have all waited ALONG time for a moment like this.... @20:42.
1:07:18 again!
I love that James’ unrelenting sarcasm is back in the mix
Andrew Alexander 👍🏼 2 thumbs up 👍🏼
Travels is very GORGEOUS…… seriously….. THE GUITARS ARE AMAZING
One of fave songs hes written
I'm glad they still make music. They started before I was born, and now i'm 16. I went to see them back in July at the KFC Yum center. First concert. Three hours. Incredible. Loved all three.
they probably started before your dad was born
@@josea.marinirabien3681 unless his dad was 14 when he had him, yeah I guess you could say that
S/O to a fellow Louisvillian (or somewhere close at least)
@@josea.marinirabien3681 The Smashing Pumpkins started in 1988 and my dad was born in 1969. He was 19 and my mom was 6. He's almost 50 now. 30 years. Crazy right?
@@divisbleinvisible7547 Wassup dude. I am a proud Louisvillian. Support
These guys have been and continue to be one of the best and most important bands in the history of not just K-ROQ, but ROCK... period!! 😍 #amenamenamen
What was so ground breaking about them?
JohnR88 go listen to Gish, then listen to the other things on the radio in 1990.
@@johnr8820 Mellon Collie was the best double album of the 1990s
pisces dream I mean the 90's were okay..but I don't think they did anything groundbreaking...or soulful
@@johnr8820 true.
Billy seemed really into it. The rest of the band did excellent. Seems like they're actually having fun. I like it. Even Billy's terrible dancing. Haha.
talk about a reunion, they brought back mike garson
was at this concert and didn't even realize it was an entire hour i was so busy screaming out my lungs!! i could hear the entire crowd singing along to each song it was absolutely glorious
i saw them play for over 3 hours
@@aarongibson585 it´s not about how many hours... it´s about beeing there , living the moment :)
Beautiful, long live Smashing Pumpkins !!!!!!!!!!
Hey Smash Pumpkins, come back and make 2021 right!!! (por favor )
Man I almost cried to Cherub Rock. SO GOOD SO FLAWLESS SO PUMPKINS
This version of Never Let Me Down is even better than the Siamese Dream era studio version. The guitars are visceral and you feel the mix.
you got 2 of your friends back, Billy. please be nice to them.
I was always a bigger Foo Fighters fan than SP, though I thoroughly enjoyed both. However, SP is doing a much better job of recreating the guitar sounds we all know and love from the albums. What a treat. Wish Dave and Co. Could bring back that Colour and the Shape vibe.
Now that's a band who keep repeating itself and never evolves: the poo fighters...
You are a stp fan Superman
Nice to see Mike Garson with the Pumpkins again... I loved what he added on the late 2000 tour!
They actually got the sound right I believe
Wow his voice is pretty great on Disarm here, sounds at times like his voice on the siamese dream tour back in the days, goosebumps
Hoping they never let me down again!
the rack behind Corgan - whats the top device? with the dancing indicator and what im assuming are letters?
Tuner?
jeff and james are perfect combination of SP now!!!!!
falta d arcie
It's a lot of noise for little music. About the noise, it's perfect. From a musical point of view, it is horrible, infecting.
wtf is this shit 22:51
Great show, seems like the songs don't have the same passion and angst and anger like they used to when they are played live. Scream billy, scream!!!!
Was the opening band drab majesty?
Thank goodness this soundboard sounds all right.. 08-24 was jus god awful.
I thought you died in 96.So happy you are alive and well.
Rock! Love Billy's outfit. Saw this show at The Aragon in Chicago. It was amazing.
I love that Jeff plays the orchestrated bit in Tonight, Tonight. I know he started playing it with an ebow a few years ago, but it really suits a 3 guitar format.
Pumpkins music always makes me sad, but I can't stop listening.
Ver sua banda favorita voltando praticamente completa n tem preço.
I was so happy when smashing pumpkins came on stage 30 seconds to Mars suck ass
Thank you for uploading this!
"Who Wants Honey"?
CHERUB ROCK...
Sick motherfucking set lol!!!!!!😁😁😁😁👹
1979 sounds amazing =)
Love the video although the audio component to the upload is definitely a thumbs down-you need an audio upgrade...direfully...
To make this a true reunion, Billy should grow his hair back.
Is Billy slowly getting his voice back? It’s a Christmas miracle.
eres el unico de todos los comentarios q dices algo cierto
Man, it's so weird to see James back in the band, on stage, playing alongside Billy, Jimmy, and Jeff.
George Yang it feels so right tho
james is the soul on SP...amazing LP sound
yeah, its weird to see Jeff especially since he dont belong here
Jeff has added so much more to their live sound, he's a perfect fit. They should've always been a 3 guitar live band.
@@buckovens6706 Jeff has been there since 2007. I'd say 12 years of service, justifies him being there. D'Arcy was there for 11 years.
last song Silver Sometimes Ghosts soundless(((
The Piano on Disarm! WOW Just Awesome!
Fantastic! I saw them live in Italy for this tour, epic!!
Is it me or the video has a little unsynchronized audio?
Without a doubt the best gig of the year. Thank you WPC
Rock'n'roll lesson confirmed level, except "Friday I'm in love", this one was bad, really bad. Sorry James.
Holy fucking ads Batman...
Billy Corgan the tin foil ... dress.
Love the Friday I'm in Love cover!
I like that they're kinda back together, but aside from Solara and Silvery Sometimes, Shiny is their worst record, way below Monuments.
I was at the show and I was singing my lungs out with Billy so I am pretty glad I can come watch this video to hear what I couldn't because my dumb*** was so loud over the band lol
Its been said a million times, but there is no denying it, that is Uncle Fester on stage singing. I think he ate Tuesday.
Btw look at them Corgan dance moves during Knights of Malta XD so awkward and great lol
He's become dad-dancer, it's almost glorious. BC just don't care!
It really is weird, but amazing all the same. It's nice to see he can have a little bit of fun now without taking himself so seriously.
It would be cool if they had some fierce belly dancers perform during Ava Adore!
Sound is kinda fucked
Just for James singing for pumpkins, it's a pretty cool live
I can't wait for August! SP and AFI. fucK yES!
they brings back amazing sound.....more powerful....welcome back james
Papa Emeritus has nothing on BC
Still rockin after one years. Best gig of 2018!!!
Dude this is and will always be the best show I will ever attend lol.
The Smashing Pumpkins are legends now!
I saw them in 2010 pre Oceania at Almost Acoustic...They played great! But the crowd sucked ass, and I was shocked 20% of people walked out. Although they played very late, but its possible because they were just lumped in a line up of other bands that were strangely out of place. This crowd is awesome and has energy so far! It looks like the other bands they played with this time is definitely more in their musical island. Last time I saw them it was My chemical Romance, social distortion, dirty heads etc drastically different from the pumpkins
Oh yeah, I remember watching that too. I think the Veronicas joined them on stage as well at some point?
@@gyang333 wow I completely forgot about that...he played great songs from teargarden...and in typical Billy fashion had a Chicago bulls mascot I think enter the stage which got big boos from the LA crowd lol
radio show crowds are the worst.
Ilove billy when he says thank God😎
The Smashing Pumpkins new album ROCKS!!! Buy on VINYL ! LOL
WTF is Billy wearing?
hahah i was there + i've watched this a couple of times, and never noticed, but wth IS he wearing?
He is dressed like the circus Barker from Dumbo, even has a pillow under his shirt to look fat like the guy in the movie.
Dressed like a pope but Billy is magic ❤
Great, enjoying this so much.
this is fucking awesome
Amazing backing vocals!!!
Why does Billy Corgan have to be such a freak?
Ive been asking the same question for the past 20 years...
its cool to be a freak when your younger but the older you get the more people seem to dislike it.
@@germfood7235 it gets cringy I guess...unless you keep yourself in shape and looking good. Maybe if he was still skinny or if he worked out he would look cooler.
@@rockboy360 I agree, like Doyle from Misfits for example, hes still dressing up with all the makeup and hair and everything and hes still in amazing shape. Same with Manson etc. Then you have folk like Axl Rose, Motley Crue that just all look cringy nowadays. I think thats where Billy kinda fits in unfortunately.
@@germfood7235 Manson is fat too.
SURE WOULD BE NICE IF THE STAGE HAD MORE LIGHTS :) BUT OTHERWISE, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS ROCK IN 2018
their sets are pretty dark sometimes depends
Turn your caps lock off.
Just like... ME!!!
Striker 😂😂😂
Billy corgans voice, still as terrible as ever.
No mayonaise?
they played it in the “regular” stops for the tour. they generally had 3-hour sets.
Makeup, to die of laughter.
Only song I like is bwbfw
Needed more songs off their first two albums.
any chance you could upload this to google drive?
I was at this show and you can tell in his voice that he’s getting older. No fault of his own, it happens to all singers. But Badflower and Greta Van Fleet stole the show.
Van Fleet are so overrated. Simply a Zep ripoff band.
imandan1966 nah Led sucks. Fleet is much better
Ryan defines the term ‘troll’. Don’t be like her. Stay in school.
Greta Van Fleet baby! Best band of the last 20 years!
Led Zeppelin is an overrated annoying band, fleet is just better.
Horrible choice for the opening song IMO
Simon Tay why? solara is a great song
I’m glad I didn’t go this year. They’re abysmal
@@leozinhorj83 Stranger or not, you shouldn't tell someone to shoot themselves..
Leonardo Miranda It’s so easy to type insults when you’re hiding behind your keyboard. Someone needs to beat your ass.
This band is so far past their prime, it's painful.
SonicVision for real??? Did you even watch this? I understand someone saying they don't like SP music. That's the joy of everyone having their own tastes. But to say these guys are past their prime? Are you even fucking kidding me? Watch the back to back pairing of Cherub Rock and 1979 and tell me you're not instantly transported back to the 90's...
They still sound as good as ever to me.
They are not supposed to be in their prime. This isn’t 1991.
Sounding as good live now as they did in 96 and the new album is stunning
The new album is garbage. As for the live show, I'm glad I didn't pay $200 to hear "Stairway To Heaven".
I was there lol
Would you say the pumpkins blew the other bands out of the water?
@@nebulous8389 Hell yes!!!
Go back in time, pick me up, take me there, and then it's all good
It's a shame that Corgan wouldn't bring D'Arcy Wretzky back into the band
He asked her, went about the situation in a very adult way, and she started trashing him publicly. I wouldn’t want her in my band either if that happened to me.
@@scottmasson3039
Corgan talked to her about the idea of getting the whole band back together again. Then he blew Wretzky off-- So yeah, she trash talked him (most people would be pissed, and do the same-- I don't blame her).
@@somefuckingprick She hadn't been on a stage in over 18 years and was known to have anxiety as well as substance addiction in the past. He was letting her ease back into the world of rock, world tours, and super high expectations. He didn't renege, she just didn't take his approach with an open mind.
billy looks like grandpa shark
