Thanks for the video. This is exactly what I wanted. What about using a basic laser engraving for the text? Would it be engraved before or after the procedure you presented? Have you tried any of that?
Hey bro, I have an old school jl audio slash series amplifier . It says it’s cast aluminum and the finish looks brushed. However after 21 years, it’s got some damage cosmetically. Would you assume this process working to get restore the finish? Your pretty much my saving grace thanks for the video as well.
Great video. Do you have any online source for buying the aluminum panel cut to order? Also, where did you get the letter puches and do you also know of a letter-transfer decal option instead of punching? Thanks!
Another place to order metal from is www.metalsdepot.com/ I'm working on some synthesizer case end panels right now that I bought from them. They cut to size and have no minimum order but the metal can be fairly rough though and needs a fair amount of filing/sanding/etc. I was going to try to polish them but now I think I'll do brushed instead! :-)
Hi. Nice video!
I was wondering how did you proceed to inscribe labels on the aluminum?
I cover that in my previous video where I built this switch box: ruclips.net/video/4DtpXIA0wts/видео.html
Oh! So sorry! I watched that video and stopped literally 5 seconds before you covered that bit since I'm familiar with amp switching boxes.
Thanks!

This channel and it's content is gold. It's sad how underrated your content is.
This was very helpful for repairing a brushed aluminium panel that I damaged. Damage removed, panel re-brushed, done. Thank you!

If I want the extra protection, should I do wax and clear coat? Or just clear coat?

Aluminum was just from Amazon and I cut it to fit. Punches were from Harbor Freight.

@@JohnLRice Great, thanks...
Good tutorial, too wouldnt be better to use a sponge with the sandpaper?
Also what kind of wax was that? I didnt get the name
Paste Wax
I will try the technique on my aluminium panals, I presume it would also work since the metal is very similar to aluminum.
