I appreciate the sincerity of this overview. I figured your high price was due to limited operation but i didn't realize exactly how small you guys were until watching this video. As a college student i can't justify purchase but I'll be clicking like on all those sweet IG pics. Goodluck man! And great backpack
I’ve owed many bags over the years to carry my essential gear for hurricane survival at work, traveling on vacations, out-of-state, etc. My favorite bag is GWA Tiger Stripe. I do see why people go wild for the products.
by far best bag ive ever owned. I use the supdef bong bag inside mine to carry my camera gear. The bong bag + a large packing cube inside the citadel is my onebag travel set up for photo trips. Mike from Qilo can attest to that.
I recently got my first Citadel. Moving forward, this will be the only bag i will ever want own! Some serious flavors going on with thar brushstroke🔥 The micro pockets makes life efficient! Goat in all aspects🔥🔥👊🏽👊🏽
I've been looking for a 30l travel backpack. This one looks like everything i wanted except for the size. I love the stretchy pockets and the Velcro inside. Seems like a no brainer. Any plans for a bigger version?
@@gearwhoresanonymous sounds great! But definitely saving up for the DNC restocks 🤙🏼 this bag is right in my bucket list! Keep up the good work 💪🏼 btw chocolate chip sounds exciting!
Hi boss! Thank you for the video and explanation of your “baby”! I am super interested in finding out more about this bag! I am interested on how the shoulder strap changed from your proto to your gen 3. Seems like the straps in the proto are box stitched to webbing then attached to the bag, vs gen 3 that the strap goes straight into the bag. Is that a strength thing or what was the thought behind that change? I will be following this bag and your company closely, especially if you release this in an xpac material! Thanks!
Could you please answer the question I had on George Define's Review of the Citadel? The mesh on the lumbar part of the bag seems to pile after minimal use. Could you please elaborate on that decision and if this is going to happen? Thank you in advance.
@@gearwhoresanonymous That is strange. George's Citadel seems to have piled rather quickly. Do you know how that might have happened? I assume this won't be covered by you? If not, how much would a repair of those parts cost?Just trying to get the worries out of the way before I decide to pick one up or not.
@@cuchanu depends if you're buying into the propaganda that it's made out of "high quality materials". Lots of backpack companies manufacture in the US. It doesn't justify the price just because it isn't being made in a sweatshop in Vietnam.
@@kaymatthew6812 I have never seen one of their bags in person but I imagine that people wouldn't be so into them if they didn't use decent materials. And whether you realize it or not, small scale manufacturing in the USA is very expensive. My ex wife works for an American clothing designer who does everything here and with top quality materials, not to mention spending lots of time getting the patterns perfect. And compared to outsourcing everything (and skipping important steps), it's quite a bit more expensive
@@cuchanu well don't use an assumption as the foundation of your whole point. These bags have a cult following. Look up Carryology and you'll understand what FOMO is. By making a small batch of something in a market full of collectors you can set the value at anything you want, no different than luxury designer purses for example. For someone who isnt a collector, it makes no sense to make them believe they are getting a bag that's any better than a Jansport that is $350 cheaper. To insist that the bag is worth that price tag because it was manufactured in the US is a ridiculous take.
@@kaymatthew6812 I know what fomo is, and I think it's relatively safe to assume that it's high quality. You can't just make garbage in limited quantities and claim people will automatically snatch it up.

Best EDC pack hands down, I hardly leave my house anymore and still carry it around daily for shits and giggs.

Frikkin nice man. I’ll get one when my vertx wears out. Also you should make a baby carrier
The fact that you have to defend your bag from people that have never even seen the quality first hand. Keep up the good work!

Hey man. Been looking for a DNC citadel for EVER.
I’m wondering if you would sell and ship your dnc citadel. Would you take 500$ ?

My prototype that is 7 years old has the same mesh and has not piled.

Which version? The hanger or Velcro?

These bags are nice, but for almost $400 USD, that's reaching too far.
For small scale, made in USA, with high quality materials, I don't think it's too much, unless of course none of that is important to you.
