I think we get into Laguna Seca Blue in the next video, but yeah, that color launched a thousand imitators and basically made light blue the S tier car color for a solid decade. Nardo Gray came for the crown and missed, they're STILL making Laguna Seca knockoffs, just look at the GR86
I have owned two e46 M3s, here are some facts, smg can be converted to manual, it is better to buy a 150,000 car with the big 3 done, rod bearings, vanos, subframe reinforced, than a 80-90,000 miles one, because any of those 3 things can go wrong around those miles.
SMG's are great transmissions, just needs to be tuned to have 2024 performance, most drift cars that have sequentials use BMW SMG transmissions with HTG hardware and tune
Love these way more then the e36, just hard to imagine a $150k miler is worth $15-$20k. This is the best looking 3 series imo though, but not sure it'll ever be a classic.
Looking at these prices make me cry. In the UK you can pick up a decent E46 m3 for 12k with relatively high mileage (120k-140k) or buy a nice example for £15k with barely 80k to 90k miles.
These cars are useless after 100k miles / 3 owners + after that no one is servicing these cars correctly They need regular valve adjustments…no one knows that
They know nothing about these cars, like the fact that smg cars are not automatics, and can be converted using the same transmission,or how reliable these cars are after you have done the 3 big services
I’ve owned a BMW for eight years and a Honda Civic for 7. Let me make it real easy for you galaxy brains. Take a Civic Si, make it with cheapest flimsiest plastic parts possible, fire any engineer that even whispers the word “durable”, and charge triple the price for a car that was designed in bootleg Minecraft v1.0. I love my Bimmer, but their reputation for exploding is well earned. I was a baby mechanic with cookie dough hands when dealing with my Civic’s engine. Owning a Bimmer has made me a ASE certified mechanic and has given me a bad case of alcoholism. I beat my wife everytime the CEL light comes on and if I get P0420 one more damn time I’m going to set a National forest on fire out of spite. I’m still better off than an Audi owner. 9/11 happened because a Saudi’s A4 broke a timing belt and ate the valves.

Z3, M3s, S chassis, etc. What's the problem with convertibles? Is it the "chassis stiffness" nonsense? As if y'all are gonna be shaving half-seconds off your lap times in your dailies?

smg cars are not automatic, they are sequential manual transmissions, which can be converted to regular manual very easily
