I already know english but i can already tell that this lady is a very good teacher im confident to say that if i didnt know english im sure i would easily be able to learn english with Rachel as my teacher
Reductions are the reason I still need english subtitles when watching to a movie. I wish I had a teacher nearly as good as Rachel back then when I was a kid and there were no Internet resources, since it's way harder to pick up those subtleties after growing up.
Hi Rachel, I’m glad I found your channel. Finally, After 20 years of leaving here in America I just have now developed my confident of using English because of your videos. God be the Glory. Blessed to you and your family.
You are the best one ever. Reduction H is very difficult .I pay attention in all pronunciations ,but when you are speaking with your friends or other I feel very confused in reduction. Thanks for everything that you have made.
No doubt! The QUEEN of American pronunciation. Now I can tell everybody there isn't a secret to sound fluent like a real native speaker the only you needa know is how to use the contracted forms and then liking the sounds with assimilation, elision or maybe an intrusive sound. Of course you OUGHT TO PRACTICE HARD. But do it little by little with lots of DEDICATION ❤
You are the best teacher I've ever had, for a long time I did not know how to improve my listening for toefl test and you solved my problems with understanding native speakers. God bless you🙏😍😘🌹
Hey, Rachel! I've been watching your videos for quite a long time and I'd like to congratulate you again for all of your accomplishments!!!! I can honestly say you are a lot more talented and a lot more BEAUTIFUL than you were a few years ago. Congrats!!!!! You are a role model to my students, and your videos have been extremmely useful for all of us here.
Hi my dear, thanks for helping and teaching us. Dear Rachel, I speak Persian but you know your teaching even affect my Persian accent. now I enjoy talking English.
Hi Rachel, thank you very much! My name's Marcia.I'm from Brazil. Excellent lesson about the reductions.I never had seen these lessons here in Brazil before. It's help me so much.
Thank you sooooo much for your work, Rachel! Your lessons are priceless! My husband is American but even by communicating with him for years I couldn't fully grasp the idea of how American English functions. I mean the "oral" English. I am fascinated by every video of yours. Every time it's a revelation for me :) Especially that kind of compilation you have done in this video. Really helpful! Thanks A LOT!
You'er the greatest teacher i've ever met..i'm much interested in learning American accent and your channel is the best to fulfil my desire...its like dream comes true....🌷🌹❤
This particular video was very useful to me, great content, every day I learn something new from your channel, you're my favorite teacher, much appreciated.
I've never seen an English teacher this good in my life omg :o If I had money I would definitely buying your book! It's on my bucket list! Thank you so much for providing all this great content on RUclips for free 👏😭💕
Rachel, thank you very much for your videos. I am only wondering, if the sentence you used in the video is grammatically correct, or if it was a spoken English. When you were in the kitchen with your friend and your baby started crying, you said: "Let me go get him." Shouldn't it be "...go getting him" or "go to get him"? Thank you very much.
Hi Rachel. I am from Bangladesh. We are always teached The British English. But I like American English as it it fast, smooth and nice. Thanks for guiding me. 🥰
I consider my English to be quite good, my grammar and vocabulary being very good, I guess. However, I feel so frustrated that my pronunciation is not at same level. I think many of you are in the same situation.
Same here. Went to university studying English but never feel confident to speak English. Too afraid to make grammatical mistakes, wrong pronunciation and intonation.
@@VeddeRessa So frustrating , isn't it? I must say, though, that most natives just don't care when we make grammar or pronunciation mistakes. I've had the opportunity to talk to some Americans, and they would always affirm we learners must work on out self-confidence as much as as we do on grammar, pronuntiation...
We Americans, tend to have the opposite challenge. We can pronounce and understand American English but we need help when it comes to spelling. This is because we were blessed with letters and each letter may represent several sounds. Most pronunciation rules have many exceptions. We have a few rules that have fewer exceptions than the average rule and we become excited to encounter those but ... the English writing system is beginning to look a lot like China’s. The average educated American knows, I would say, about 20 thousand words but we use about a quarter of that number on a daily basis. I think we have well over 100 thousand words in English when we include technical or specialized language. An educated American will only know how to spell a fraction of the words in existence. The rest of the words... we misspell them or mispronounce them... or we ask or Google the right pronunciation or spelling. Same happens to Chinese people with their writing system!!!!
thanks alot ..i came to know about ur videos wen i was searching for thankyou speech,i saw almost 15 in one go,so valuabe ,n learnt a lot about english
I love all of your videos. Can you please make one on the pronunciation of words like "escape" "estrange," etc. That "ES" beginning kills me LOL. As a Spanish speaker, I tend to drop the "E." Thank you so much, -Blad
Hi, Rachel- amazing work! I've been following you for almost a year and a half now and you're the first pronunciation coach I started following and learning from. I have learned loads from your videos and have made huge leaps. So, thank you very much! :) I've a question: do we use the flap t sound when we say 'what do you...' as a one unit, when we link them together? To me it feels like I use flap t when I say "whaddaya...".
Hello and thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it! :) You are absolutely right - 'whaddaya' is that quick Flap T sound. Keep up the great work!
Hi Rachel! I have a question. What level of English are your lessons for? I'm sorry for my mistakes. I think my level of English is intermediate. Sometimes I don't understant some words. 😁
Hello! If you're English is intermediate I think you'll find lots of helpful material in my lessons. If you're a beginning student, some of my lessons will be a bit too advanced.
