Dear Lucy, I grew up in Australia in the 1950s and all the words you talk about here were commonly used, mainly by children. They were not well approved and we would often be corrected when in adult company.
I first went to England in 1974 and lived there quite a bit until 1980. During that time I never heard English people use any of those words, nor did they address each other as "mate" or refer to anyone as "a mate of mine". Many people would refer to their friends in general as their mates.
On returning to England a few years ago I noticed people, especially in London, using Australian expressions such as "no worries" and calling each other mate. I was fascinated to see in your video that the English have now adopted our "bad english".

DEAR LUCY, YOU WERE EXTREMELY HAPPY ABOUT THIS VIDEO. IT IS VERY DIDACTIC! CERTAINLY IS IT TOTALLY HELPFUL. I'M ENGLISH TEACHER HERE IN BRAZIL AND SURELY WHEN WE TALK ABOUT WRITING, READING, SPEAKING AND LISTENING, NORMALLY LISTENING IS A CHALLENGE FOR NON NATIVES . THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BECAUSE FRANKLY SPEAKING IT HAS BEEN HELPFUL FOR ME AS WELL!!!
After months of constantly watching your videos I kinda change my pronounciation of some words and as an Asian it is noticeable whenever I read on class. Some classmates tease me for trying hard to sound native but I think I just adapt it for always listening to british english and subconciously pronounced it like how i heard it.

Thank ya teacher Lucy. You're the best teacher on the internet. Love & Hugs!
What about the reduction "Whatcha"? Usually used in place of "What are you". as in "Whatcha doin'".
Jacques Voris Not what are you but what you. Whatchu/Watcha doing? What you doing?
@@yukimoonlight7993 "What you" is not really a proper English construction. You can, and people often do, imply the "are" in casual spoken English, it is still there however. Another example would be if someone says "Howya doin" it would fully, properly, be "How are you doing"
Jacques Voris Whatcha is already informal, therefor it doesn’t have the “are”. That’s why it stands for what you and not what are you
Jacques Voris Whachu doing? What you doing? not “What are you doing?”
www.yourdictionary.com/whatcha . at least someone on the internet agrees whatcha/whatchu all refers to what are you.. not just "what you".
You missed one that is important in the circles I run in: Gangsta.

There's also a really weird alternate for gonna which is finna. For example: "I'm finna eat this bread."
Yeah, I think that’s short for “fixing to” which I think is American southern slang.
That is only in America I'm sure. No one in the UK would have a clue what you were on about if you said that haha
Also ima. Ima upon ow heah. I'm up on out of here. This slang is no longer Southern slang, if it ever was. I heard this in Calif all the time. Watch The Wire for other.😊

I have a doubt about these reductions, do these reductions come originally from American English or do they belong to all English variations?

12:14 True, but there's no way I'm telling her 🤣
We use every single reduction you've demonstrated in America as well. Literally every one. I assumed there'd be at least one or two that I wasn't familiar with.
We have another that we very commonly use: "ain't". I honestly have no idea what it is a blend of. We'll use it both when speaking of others, as well as ourselves.
"He ain't gonna like that."
"I ain't doin' that."
And then there's "y'all", for "you all". It used to be predominantly a southern thing, but it's invaded the Midwest over the last twenty years, probably due to the increasing popularity of country music.
