The edits are better. Still a few odd bits of grammar/cadence (e.g. "the environmental changes help to create a perfect environment" has a redundant "environment", could be better as "the ecological changes help to create a perfect environment" or similar), but better than before.
Do you know why you were threatened with litigation? It wasn't because you used AI to clone Sir David's voice. That is no different legally from using a human impressionist. You were threatened because you did not make it explicitly clear that your videos feature a voice parody. Putting 'Voice: AI' in the description is not good enough. Not everyone reads YT video descriptions. 'Parody' is possibly the most hated word in the English language among corporate lawyers because of the legal protection it confers. In New York City there is a Star Wars-themed strip club called The Empire Strips Back. It is not affiliated to Disney and I'm sure Disney hates it with a passion but they can't sue because its full name is 'The Empire Strips Back: a Star Wars Parody.' This makes it explicitly clear to everyone that it is not connected to Star Wars or Lucasfilm and protects it from litigation. You can still use Sir David's voice in your videos without being sued but you need to add the phrase 'David Attenborough voice parody' to every video that features his cloned voice. That will cover you legally because then you can't be accused of trying to pass it off as his real voice. I hope you have not been too intimidated by bullying lawyers who rely on people's ignorance of the law.

Shame about the original voice as it was a great concept. I love this voice though! The delivery reminds me of Richard Burton's narration from the musical War of the Worlds. Love it.
Sad, but expected turn of events. The lord inquisitor has some great shoes to fill, but I'm confident he will do well. The writing is still exceptional, the lore interesting, the community wholesome. I think most of us will stick around. I know I will.

David Attenborough's voice was more soothing and interesting to listen to, also main reason I enjoyed these as there are so many lore channels. Attenborough's voice added some sense of joy, intrigue and something nostalgic. Plus easier to ease non-40k fans into checking it out.
His estate made it so. One has a right to what their voice does, and its for. The narrative voice change sucks, but necessary lest we slip into herecy, praise the God Emperor.
I'm very sad about your whole situation but also very glad you decide to keep going and rebuild what you lost! Aside a little bit too much emphasis on certain words I think the new voice does justice to your work, which I hope to see all up again since it enthralled me
While I’m open to the new Astartes-esque voice, it seems a lot of ppl are looking for a gentler voice that gives off “kindly old professor” vibes. Maybe the voices of Oculus Imperia, or Book of Choyer’s “Travels of Steffan Hoffman” series, could act as a references for a new voice that can bring back that Attenborough charm?
Would have liked five shorts with different AI voices with a poll in the community tab right after to decide the new voice going onward.. What do you think?
Good idea. This one doesn't quite work, but I'm sure with some variety it would be possible to find a decent replacement. Something more academic would be good.
Honestly like the new narrator! Reminds me a lot of the starting cinematic voice over from World of Warcraft, and I like that tone and style. Shame about DA, but it’s understandable. Just glad I got to watch them before they were gone!
I don't know, at this point, is there another documentary AI voice you can use? If not, maybe a female voice? I'm just not as interested in hearing this voice. It's missing...that non-Warhammer 40K documentary style, that made this much more interesting than a typical Lore channel. Don't get me completely wrong, this is 100% better than an average player just speaking all this verbatim, and of course the writing's still great. But without that "Ohhhh" voice to spark it, the magic goes away a little, to offset the dark topic.
Well to be fair the world isn't necessarily entirely barren. Bacteria and similar micro organisms are just too tedious to harvest and so many of those are left. Of course they will have a hard time surviving on a world where most of the water and even the atmosphere might be drained to nurture the hive fleet, but even Belisarius Cawl said this specifically in the book The Great Work, given enough time these organisms will form a new biosphere. Now of course no-one has that much time and with Cawls little help the world in question would be back to living condition within a few centuries instead of millions of years.

Two things to note. First, I'm really glad you rewrote it. If these videos were simply the exact same script using a different AI voice, there would be no reason to re-watch. Second, on consideration of the actual lore, the part in 8:37 is really problematic when you think about it too much. "Eventually even the oceans themselves will be drained, leaving naught but an empty, barren rock where life once thrived." While pretty much any space fleet will need some water, what does an alien fleet want with an entire ocean's worth of water? I looked it up, and Earth's ocean is 1,335,000,000 cubic kilometers. How much biomass is in the Earth is difficult to define (like, do you include single celled organisms? Are the Tyranids mining the entire planet's coal, peat, and petroleum deposits too, which are mostly carbon, or just killing and consuming live multicellular animals?) but if you just count animals, that's about 2.5 gigatonnes of biomass. I can't be bothered to do the math to convert it for the exact difference, but there's certainly several orders of magnitude more water on Earth than there is carbon based life. How is all of this mass being moved out of the gravity well? Where is the energy coming from? Are Tyranid ships just gigantic balloons of a thin membrane filled entirely with huge spheres of salt water? What would they even do with all that salt water once it was off planet? Quite famously sci-fi writers have no sense of scale. And on a different thought, there's the Doylist question of why whoever wrote this original Tyranid lore thought that would be a good idea to write. Did they think that a lifeless planet without a single molecule of H2O would be somehow more haunting than a planet where every microbe is dead, but there's still plentiful water?
Im glad you've got the will to keep going, but im highly disappointed by this news overall. Perhaps start picking voices from things like mechanicus or boltgun
I loved 40k as a kid but fell out of it because it was such a futile and grim setting (yea I know that’s the point) Now I’m older I like listening to it cos it makes me feel so much better about my own life haha
Obviously original voice was great. But I get why it was taken down. This voice is good as well. Sounds a little less like a documentary and instead a lecture in some inquisitorial college.

Very nicely done video. Thanks I still prefer WHF over the 40K world as the scaling up to a galaxy level just led to to many insanely OP enemies, the Tyranids are definitely one of the top contenders.

I mean, this is pretty clearly the same accent and intonation as the Attenborough voice. It almost sounds the same, but pitched down
