As someone with crippling claustrophobia I watch these and somehow, it's therapeutic. Your positive messages, your constant narroration even at points where I wouldnt even be able to breathe let alone speak. I appreciate this content.
Well that's nice to hear. There are some people who overcome claustrophobia through exposure. Not everyone but some people. It's not really our aim to help but we understand some people use it for that! It's our aim to inspire others to not necessarily sit at home letting their lives slip away from the comfort of a couch.

All cartography in three dimensions is hard, but it's one of those things that is much more easy when you're actually physically *in* it. I've done hardcore orienteering cartography over open land, and it seems hardcore impossible from an outside perspective, but once you're inside that system doing it first hand, it becomes intuitive. I’ve been watching your channel for a couple years now, and you guys have activated the primal urge within me to get off the couch and check out some local caves for myself. Although the caves I’m interested in are far more spacious than the ones you guys frequent. Eastern Washington is lousy with ‘em!
You had me at get off the couch. There are caves everywhere. Including Eastern washington. We live in one of the most cave depleted areas of the United States. Almost all of our caving is done between 2 and 7 hour drive radius. So it's not like we just go outside and find caves. The mountains of Idaho have lots of limestone. Lake Lenore by Grand Coulee has a cool dinosaur shaped cave. 12 million years ago a (rhinoceros) dinosaur fell in the lava and burned out and now the cave is shaped like the dead dinosaur. The entrance is his butt. The best part about the caves in the desert is that they are a nice temperature. Much warmer than the winter air and much cooler than the summer air. The caves on the west side are very cold and wet.
I just can't fathom someone seeing a whole in the ground the size of a basketball hoop and thinking "I should squirm my way through that." But thanks to you guys we get to see things that have likely never been documented before!

I recently started watching videos like this and I really like your channel specifically. By listening to your words and by trying to imagine myself being there I think I have found some meaning in this activity. You need to have patience, you need to be slow and be present in the moment, you must plan carefully your every movement and take your time to make it. In conditions like these it seems that you have to learn to control both your mind and your body, you have to be completely aware of every part of your body and every movement you make, you also need to have complete control of your mind and be patient because if you try to rush through you may start panicking. That's why you need to control your mind and your body and this I think is really beautiful. I think that just by watching the videos and thinking about the philosophy of this activity I get some of the benefits of doing it, without actually doing it. That's why I think it is so great and important that you share the videos with us, you share the experience and it has a positive impact to us. Exposure therapy is the current best medical solution to curing claustrophobia. And I'd say, learning patience is also helpful. Any of those kinds of anxieties often come from the fact that we are just in a hurry to leave situations we do not like. Don't be in a hurry.
@billsanders9387 I live in KY close to Mammoth Cave so I have been in a few tight caves. It is the tight tubes you go through not knowing if you can turn around or back out that I will pass on. Enjoy watching you guys do it however 😀

Thanks. We posted a video previous to this one which explains our condition. I think it's called injury update. It seems to go unwatched though. We tried!
@@CalvinHikes Phew glad everythign is going well! Cant wait for the return once yall return you should do a little cave pun in the start of your return :O
@@CalvinHikes glad to hear that. came here to post this very thing.
Bro watching you inside the cave is triggering my claustrophobia and is there a way to cure claustrophobia bro pls help😢....
Exposure therapy is the current best medical solution to curing claustrophobia.
And I'd say, learning patience is also helpful. Any of those kinds of anxieties often come from the fact that we are just in a hurry to leave situations we do not like. Don't be in a hurry.
❤LOVE YOU GUYS❤ ALWAYS AMAZING✌🏽
Always filthy, stinky, and at times bloody. Thanks for watching.
17 full pull ups definitely need that kind of strength in a cave climbing vertical
Love the videos, cannot say I will ever try it
We said that once too.
@billsanders9387 I live in KY close to Mammoth Cave so I have been in a few tight caves. It is the tight tubes you go through not knowing if you can turn around or back out that I will pass on. Enjoy watching you guys do it however 😀
@@Thefishdog1 Youvlive in cavers paradise. We do some limestone, but mostly lava tubes and erosional caves which both tend to be more restrictive to enter and explore. These are also very remote, so we have them to ourselves. Thanks for the comment.
I love your videos their always so interesting and exciting to watch
Thanks much.
i love his commentary..
Legend has it his pants are still half way down
Sometimes we just shred our clothes entirely and the ride home is real fun.
@@CalvinHikes ❤️ love watching youre videos
I appreciate the overall skill that it takes to do that but i can’t stop wondering WHY
Every time he goes "ooooookay" like he's a disappointed father in the cave that's just doing what caves do. lol
Most nerve racking video yet hahah
We agree!
Saw a news article about a man named Mark Dickey who had a needed to be rescued from a cave in Turkey. Unreal the guy looks just like you. Thought for sure it was you.
Yeah maybe I kind of look like that guy. Couple news outlets reached out to us for an interview to get our expert opinion. But I don't really have an expert opinion on getting injured. I do know a cave rescue like that is... it's not hard it's just very very slow.
You guys do this so I don't have to. Great videos 😁
I can’t even get an mri without panicking
thanks for bringing me along... i felt like part of something...
I love how he wears his merch while caving. Lots of potential buyers to advertise to down there. Lol great video again
Actually now that I think about it with all the theft of our videos going on it probably is a good idea to wear our logo on our clothes just for that.
The sweater that I have with our channel name on it was a gift someone gave me. But that's a lot easier to look at than a big water mark on the outside of the video.
@@CalvinHikes Good point! I never thought of that. Smart youtube strats
U are the bravest cavers I've ever seen 💯. thanks for your videos showing the beauty of the inner earth
You are very welcome.
@@CalvinHikes can't wait to see more 👍
Sending Jacob up that crack 😮 Omg, terrifying
We try to stop him, but he insists.
Mark!!! Hope you return safe!
Never heard of her
Ah yes I know that place, Nope Cave. 😂
I have been watching your videos for years. You two men are amazingly crazy LOL.. I would never enter a cave.
If you change your mind, we’ll rescue you.
Your videos are insane to watch but amazing 👏 most parts I feel icant breath how you cope with those small places il leave to you sorry keep safe 🙏 ❤👍
Those prayers are welcome. We just find caving to be a great way to chill.
Any one of these caves would have given me panic enough too gave me a heartache. 💀
the level of nope just cant be overstated here.. I dont know if I can think of a more terrifying thing than getting stuck in a tight spot without being able to move.
I'm just going to jot you down as a maybe
Sketch for sure
Sketchy cave, too.
Just found this page. Now im just praying this channel wont’t be featured on a mrBallen video
Well I suppose it's good that you're praying. But watching Mr balloon is bad for your health
Are you guys still alive?! It has been 7 months...

That's the explanation that no one seems to find. (Update at 440) Otherwise there are some newer videos on the second channel.
Wow -- simply wow
Thanks. We say that often in caves.
Unce unce unce unce, unce unce ba-da-da-da-da-da-da-da!
As much as I hate the idea of cave diving, the fact there are people like you who are passionate about it, brings hope to anyone getting stuck.
We could get anyone out.
@@CalvinHikes Not all heroes wear capes
