I used to watch this and Yeah Right every day before skating, so many memories.
Then I realized I’ll never be this good
@@jarnold3415 not with that attitude
Yeah buddy! My childhood aha
This video,Baker 3,and Zero Dying to live were my go to vids!!
Me too bro! So nostalgia. Fml
This is one of those parts where the music and the skating are in perfect harmony. I will come back to this one forever
I remember watching this on VHS over and over again. Back in those days, you couldn't browse youtube for hours watching skate videos for free. You only had the videos that you or your friends owned. I guess partly because of that, videos like this seem a lot more memorable to me than videos now.
Definitely. I could only watch this at a friend’s house and I would soak up every second while I could.
yellow vhs my friends and i tore that apart and recked havoc on the neighborhood sorry and baker2g were the shit in the early 00s.
Pig wood slaughter house was the first vhs I had
100% right.
You said exactly what I wanted to say/hear
His stlyes cleaner than my grandmothers house
Haha ya
Fo'real
Best analogy, his new part is smooth as avocado butter 20 years later its ridiculous
Lmao thanks for that
Until you find all the dead cats under the sofa lol
Mark Appleyard has some of the best looking nollie flips of all time
The way he nollie flips to back 50 on that ledge is incredible
i concur
That's where I got mine from waz Marks. He does nollie flip 2004 show me the way
His whole bag is smooth
@@codykoplin5337 same here 😊
used to watch this on vhs every single time before i skate, good times!
lesrima88 Me 2 and it made me better
This and yeah right
The good days, damn I miss those times
can relate
yeah me too. remember how big the shoes were back then?
One of my favorite videos to watch before skateboarding and it introduced me to Placebo!!
Watching this over and over and over in my basement in 2004-05 , this video and really sorry and girl yeah right
Good times, I think skateboarding will never be the same as it was in the 90s and early/mid 00s.
VDP060606 It wont ever be the same bro. Because back then we had our hearts into it. Now everyone is in it for the money or to be famous.
yeah right
REYMATIK-BEATS yessssssssss. My childhood
Girl Yeah Right was my favorite video. Watched the hell out of that. Green screen boards!
so deserves to be under "classics". FUCK YEAH!
No f‘n way i find a comment of my god Macie here!! Love you even more now macie!!!
The real golden age of skating. this geoff's and arto's parts are easily some of the best ever.
I just don’t think people realize how flawless this part was….
All bolts
It was so technical. Still ahead of its time.
@@aaronpeiser7706 Nothing is as technical as Fred's Gay Outfit.
So clean
What a great song choice. This is such a classic. My first exposure to Mark's skating was the Sorry/Really Sorry split DVD. This part has a soft spot for me.
If you love skateboarding for more than a decade you have to listen to @mark_appleyard words in this @thenineclubshow episode. Skate-kid adventures, travels, early Barcelona days, difficult decisions, life lessons, father love... A skateboarding life very different than the way people do it nowadays. Always my favorite, my beginnings in this go hand in hand with your video parts, your style and good energy. Inspiring me since 2000. THANK YOU!!
I had a skategasm when I watched this when it came out
Nostalgia :)
lloro :'(
This first pro skateboarder I ever saw. Sure makes me wish I could have another go at skateboarding.
Still till this day my favorite skater......
crazy how many memories this video brings back as soon as the song starts...this was my favorite video over ten years ago when I first started skating. Reminds me of the old neighborhoods..care free skating.
Best days ever, I was 15 when sorry came out.
3:05 probably the best nollie 180 frontside heel I´ve never seen in my fucking life
fucking perfect execution dude¡¡¡
Still one of my favorite parts ever, his style is so clean and effortless. I remember buying the vhs at my local park when it was released and all of us crowding around and watching.
This takes me back to HS days, damn I miss the mid 00s.... good memories
Nollie Flip 50-50 on Clipper is still probably my favorite trick of all time. I remember watching this video with my brother and my friends and we were all jaw-dropped when he landed it, plus that bouncing kickflip front crook. Such a classic video
Hey just saw this, and I’m curious: seeing the tricks that people have done since your comment, is it still your favorite?
It’s still among my favorites, but so much has been done since. Wanted to hear your thoughts
Good feels watching this! I remember me and couple of friends would spend lunch at the computer lab waiting like 10 minutes for the full video to load and watching this. This is the video that introduced me to Placebo and still remains my favorite sk8 video!
Brilliant song brilliant skating brilliant part end of
I still have this and fulfill the dream on VHS. I'm here cuz it was always hard to get past the first part without needing to get out and skate. Many memories!
Hands down one of the most perfect parts by skateboarder. Appleyard on bolts all day 💯
Fred's gay outfit.
thirtymilehigh French Fred was on that #trendy style 15 years early
Cancel culture coming for mark
I always thought he said “giddy outfit”
I quote this outta nowhere and no one gets it lol
Anyone else binge watching Appleyard's parts after watching his Nineclub?
Fred Zeppelin fuck yes bro!!! Lol
Fred Zeppelin haha yes
hahahaha me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dominic romani yeah but to be honest they're all as good as each other. I liked the tune in soul rebel because it was kinda chill but the skating was quite heavy. But all in all this is the best in terms of tricks and my God do I love this song.
Yep, that's why I'm here. Reminded of how much this part impacted me.
This was my first skate video I watched...been hooked ever since. Penny and appleyard just totally captured me haha so sick
placebo !!!!!!! legend
My favorite video and video part of all time. Nollie Flip 50 down Clipper is legendary. And then his little dance after...this stuff just cant be matched
Always thought this song complimented Mark’s skating very well, this part and Heath’s Stay Gold to Joy Division are two of my favorites.
can' forget heath's sight unseen part- song and skating perfectly matched.
@@saxenas or the Penny/Rowley split part in Uno.
@@dchoney9435 or tosh townend in sight unseen
@@saxenas there are so many.
@@dchoney9435 indeed. Im just thinking of great video parts w/ similar vibes. Another one to me would be mikey taylor skate more.
I used to watch this in my room on VHS all the time.
me too. way more memorable than watching a thrasher youtube part
Man I still love this part. His style is so smooth
Used to watch this and really sorry everyday early 2000s before skating with my 4 buds..we'd hit the local high school, bank parking lot (after 5pm lol) and apartment parking lot with a ton of gaps and stairs...thank you for the memories
Appleyard's Sorry part ... The very first time I fell in love with someone's style of skating.
This song track is on point. I was just driving and this song came on and instantly brought be here with a search of Sorry
His new soul rebel part is so good. Seriously one of the best skaters ever. Congrats Mark
TIMELESS !
one of my favorite parts of all time
azzabazz6542
Song Title: Every You Every Me
Band: PLACEBO
Definition of Butter Feet man... Set up tricks so quick and smooth. Made big shit look effortless. One of my favorite skate video parts for sure.
Used to watch this part everyday before skating for many years
loved his circa shoes.... one of my all-time favs
I've watched this part over 150 times, almost every time I went skating I watched this first, and I still love it. Makes me feel old it's a classic though hahaha...
Hope you're still ripping.
For sure the best skate video i have ever seen..everything about it makes it one of the most memorable and iconic skate video of the so called modern skate era...the team, the tricks, the music, and johnny fucking rotten! great upload man
I wore the tape out watching this so much
lol me too
Same...it's so great
Mark Appleyard was my favorit skater back in the days, Sorry brings back so many menories, and this song is so good!
This video is what got me into skateboarding in the early 00s. Love this clip
He just dropped a fire new part today and I had to come back to this one. Just over 20 years of fucking ripping. Insane.
Fuck yes Dude!
i stopped skating 4 years ago but even to this day when i watch this part i am so inspired. timless.
So we would gather up with friends and put the dvd in and be amazed of the skating and we were so hyped!
All most brings tears in my eyes.
arguably the most effortless / clean style of all time
This floods me with memories I didn't realize I had. Almost makes me want to cry, to be honest. I wish I could go back.
Still have original yellow VHS. Best video ever. Baggy pants, c1rca shoes, and a lot of nollie tricks...had few decks of apples back in the day...best feeling...
The song is so 00’s haha
Yeah, too bad it's from 1998
still watch this video on the VHS just about everyday, greatest video ever hands down
We used to watch the VHS in college before the classes started. Everyone enjoyed this, including the chavs
This Mark Appleyard skate part will go down as one of Flip Skateboard’s greatest parts they ever put out under their company as well as one of Mark’s Best part’s he’s EVER put out. That’s even to this day DEFINITELY his Greatest Part’s yet! He kill’t every second of this video part & then picked the PERFECT song to this part. 100% a #Classic for sure! #ThrasherClassic #FlipSkateboards #ThrasherMagazine
Miss the days I'd wake up to this video and several others till I was so pumped ilto skate I couldn't stand it and then hit the streets on my board till the sun went down destroying everything in sight including myself until I got a clean make hah
"his got kudos and all of that..but,he don't know quite what to do with his hands and theres something iffy going on around here" hahahaa rotten cracks me up in this video man!!
one of my favorite sections ever was so mesmerized when i first saw this
God, I love this part.
Appleyard and arto are the coolest skaters of all time, just the swaggiest style
So sick. One of the best skate videos ever.
Watched this when it came out years ago and when i still skated. looking back it makes me wanna pick up skateboarding again.
Appleyard is a legend. Him and Marc Johnson... such clean style.
Yeah you have them and Ronnie creager and Penny as well.
Wow....hadn't seen this video in 7 years..truly epic, brings back A LOT of memories. Truly a Classic. Also the sole reason i started listening to Placebo too.
As a 13 year old I remember being blown away at his style. Effortless.
talk about memories...man this takes me back
“Let’s get outta here, I fell cause of Fred’s Ghey outfit” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Evertime I hear this song i see this video in my Head, good old Times 😁
Canadian ripper mon. His stop n chat on the 9 Club made me want to watch this again. Timeless.
Such an enjoyable part to watch. So good.
I was 14 when i saw this and its been the only skate vid that I actually really enjoyed and still enjoy watching.
God bless skaters and their music that I'm sure many of us used to guide our tastes growing up 🤓 a true og mark was. Simply amazing
My all time favorite part...the music just makes it flow right..just sick
ahhh the good ol days where nobody wore skinny pants...
You are wrong my friend
wsz594 yes they did...Ali..
Punks and Metalheads did... This was before rappers and everyone else started doing it though
Amen
Apart from Ali B
I remember always having this song stuck in my head after we'd watch this video before we went out to skate philly. This was in 2003.
once that music hits at 0:53 oh man the nostalgiaaaa
Mark was always such a fast skater and that really gave all his tricks such a finesse to them. The guy hits handrails so fast they might as well be ''kiss the rails'' such a fire skater
my favorite skate part in history
still have this video and still watch it.. it's still amazing
even back then, sooooo many bangers. dude deserves ever SOTY award hes gotten
This video introduced me to Placebo. I'm so grateful for that.
This was my fav clip of any skate vid ever
My favorite hero skater of all time the placebo song gets me to a better place aswell
BEST part ever!
I had just started high school when this video came out (2002ish). Its hard to describe what it was like at the time to see that Nollie Flip Back 50-50 ender on Clipper ... unbelievable.
Damn, watch this around 10 year ago the last time, and still now what is the next trick. Much love to this times and memories.
Without a doubt in my top 5 favorite video parts of all time
Mark was the only reason I became a fan of Flip in the early 2000s.
@3:26 the smoothest 360 flip I’ve ever seen
I went to a event at bay 66 about 7 years ago and sneaked around the back with my mate to where all the pros were I met mark appleyard and talked for a good 5 mins such a nice guy and he signed my mark appleyard shoes (:
+Dexter Berglund shit hot! what a memory
thats so kool bro that he was such a nice person (and that he signed your shoes) such good skate footage in this part of his that he did
Remember this was just the opening act to Sorry....That's how great the team was back then.
been looking for this for a minute
One of the best parts ever!
Funny thing, I could never get the VHS tapes when I was a beginner skater...but Ihad alota Thrasher and Transworld mags where I saw these scenes from time to time...I pictured the tapes by just reading...but it inspired me so much..skated alone for 7 years...shit I feel like skating now lol
omg ... I remembered every single tricks before they appeared ... and it was like 20 years ago
One of my top 5 skaters!!!
I used to watch sorry like once a day haha me and my friends would get out of junior high and watch it to get pumped. Probably my favorite part out of the whole video, besides maybe arto's. Appleyard had mad style
First skate video I ever watched!
