You are the man Kit! All your videos have such good nuggets. I watch your stuff from 4 years ago and it is all relevant. Sometimes i watch the same video a few times just catch those nuggets. Here in the US we have never been thought properly and unfortunately we are missing key basic fundamental knowledge. You are God sent for us confused souls. Thanks man.
Ha! Your previous video was good, Kit, but this one was hilarious! Defo give the dog a treat for helping you out so much! Btw, I've been using those SOM and Decoy Ocean Snaps / Front Rings since you did your video on them, and I'm loving them! Swapping out jigs is so easy. I've even added them as terminal tackle on my trolling lures and life is so much easier. The longer I go without putting a hook through my finger, the more I'm getting confidence in them.
Have to agree with you about things made by the Japanese. Work for a Japanese company and oh boy.. they take quality assurances to the next level. Quality and Safety and a very very big thing to them. God bless the Japanese for reliable fishing gears. And God bless you for the knowledge 😊

Love your videos!! Thank you for all the info!! Just one question, how important are the eyes on slow jigging lures?? And what size should they have?? Thank you!!
Japanese prototypes which are tested heavily for at least a year or so before moving on to the next iteration are mostly just colored gray...and they catch fish.
I assume the solid ring with the assist hooks should be "on the top side" of the jig, when you use a solid ring (or swivel) for your leader? I'm sure you mentioned this in one of your other videos but I do not have the skills to find it again ;)
Absolutely love the videos mate. Been watching a lot of them, practicing and taking notes on them all. Couldn't thank you enough! Do you have any places in Dubai or in the UAE in general where you'd recommend fishing? Been to the usual spots but majority of the time they are extremely crowded with other anglers! Thanks a ton Kit!
That's normal, but like I said earlier, if your jigs move properly, you don't need a swivel. Swivels are also more useful on slow jigs than they are on fast jigs.
Is it true that if you’re using a spinning reel for jigging, a swivel is a must need since the line rotates constantly when reeling the line.. Please notice me senpai
if your jigs are not balanced, no matter what rod and reel you use - it will spin. this is why japanese jigs are expensive...coz the metal they use as well as how the jigs are made ensures they don't bend easily...that's above and beyond the finishing. Now...if you are using jigs that spin, then a swivel might help, but not by a lot. best way is to straighten the jig until you see it swimming properly. Then you can get rid of the swivel.
@@TheFishingKit Thank you Sir, I am new in Jigging but I have tried it but it discourage me every time and fount out something wrong with my set up so I bought a rod that is really for jigging, a fast rod (PENN FIERCE F JS602) and light 5000XG stradic. do you think this set might help me on my jigging? Sorry I really had no idea. Thank you
Nothing offensive. Just bought the Daiwa Saltiga PE lines from Japan. Made in Japan and bought it from Japan. Tested against the same pound line from US (power pro). The Japanese PE line is only half the strength of the US line. When tested on the actual pound, Daiwa is 0.8 of the label and US is 1.6 of the label. One reason could be the testing standard is different. Maybe Daiwa testing is based on static testing, but the fish is in motion.
powerpro is thicker and over tests. look on the IGFA channel. if you want your 30 lb to break at 50, guess what? you got 50lb line, not 30. Also...Daiwa lines are not the lines you want to buy if you get into JDM lines...look for companies that have their own factory - YGK is one.
@@TheFishingKitYes. I went to shad fishing with 20 pound Daiwa PE mainline and 15 pound Seaguar leader. When I snag my mainline always break instead of the leader. This made me really angry.
Haha, calm down Mr. Kate, look at the bright side of these questions, they pushed you to make a new version that is better than the old one 😂 and I will give more attention for the barking of your dog from now on 🦮📢 thanks for this hint 😄 And we will wait and see if they push you again to make the third version 🙉🙊🙊

im glad that im just new to fishing or else 😅😅

Happy that I now know how to tie my jig properly. Sad that I have tied it all wrong these past few years :(

Thank you for your answer, so eyes are not that relevant and colors arent either I guess. 😅
@@DiegoRecicla both are more subjective than anything else. Thats why your most used color might be different from mine.

"top or flat side" rule only for slow jigs.

Thanks for sharing

anywhere that involves a boat makes fishing 10X better. otherwise, it is a matter of access.
nice content❤ what if I'll use spinning set up. is it good to use swivel?
@@yosefkalomsadventure swivels only make your jig roll better, so if you want your jig to roll more, you use it.
clear
Good video and explanation. How do you feel about using "figure 8" solid rings?
Ok for fast jigging, 8 rings are too bulky for me.
Thankyou kit! But I have a question. Isn’t the pe line will be twisted if we tie the leader without swifle?
Properly made jigs wobble...not spin. If they don't spin....you don't need a swivel.
@@TheFishingKit ahhh Thankyou kit! Besttt

awesome tutorial mate

We usually use a swivel with a split ring and connect the jig to the split ring
