The one and only time ever performed live. Only reason we have this song is because the label wanted 1 more for the Error album so Pau gave them a personal recording of her on the home piano with the stipulation she will never perform it live. So the fact she did this means so much to all of us. She did it for the fans not herself. All 3 of them started with classical piano and many of their songs are started on piano then they turn it to guitar and drums and The Warning-afy it.
Robert, you were quick to comment here, beating me. LOL The Warning are sincere, genuine, authentic, humble and family oriented AND incredibly talented.
Actually, ALL THREE girls were trained classical pianists very young (beginning at ages 4 to 6), even before they chose to play guitar, bass and drums.
@jakemore2024 , I completely agree with you. From their classical training, which is rare among most musicians - especially rockers - they heard and understood complex melodic and harmonic movement at a high level. (Their training that included music theory and composition at Berklee College of Music didn't hurt either!) That high-level understanding gave them a much broader pallet of options and possibilities than most others have, when it came to and presently comes to writing music. Simply, they KNOW how music works and CAN work.
They were given the opportunity to have lessons for an additional instrument AND continue with their piano lessons. Dany and Pau say Ale is the best pianist of the 3 of them.
I think you get it. The ladies of The Warning are indeed authentic. They have never just phoned it in - ever. Thanks for your reaction to this lovely song and for your caring words.
I think that subconsciously the crowd knew that Pau might be wrecked by singing and wanted to support her, from the outset of the song. She needed to sing it and did an amazing job.
Breathe is definitely a tear jerker. I really like how you dug into the lyrics, I'm sure Pau appreciates it. I like the idea of you checking out Dany's acoustic solo performance of When I'm Alone also from the Pepsi Center - she talks a bit to the crowd mid-song and it is pretty special; it is in spanish so you'll want CC and autotranslate. And, there is a great cover of Breathe by Freeze The Fall's lead singer/guitarist Quinn - she does a great job with it!!
Yep. They’re all classically trained pianists and the majority of their songs begin with that young lady sitting at a piano, just playing until she feels magic happen. Then she takes it to her sisters and they all work together to rockify it.
She was really brave to wear her heart on her sleeve like that. You are right it was truly authentic and it connected with everyone. Enjoyed your reaction!
Hey Brewtiful, you've only cracked the shell on what DPA, The Warning are all about. So young yet the lyrics are so deep. Many of us have been overcome with emotions not touched in a very long time. What a blessing these young ladies are to not only the Rock scene, but to a generation of young people ready to make a difference. Loved your take on the ladies! 🤘⚡🫶
wow i could tell you got captured, could see it in your eyes, atleast to me it felt pure and raw, its crazy how well the warning does this to reactors and not be the most talked about rock band on the planet the last few years, so many reactors tho have not ever heard of the warning and get blown away, come on youtube throw those frisbees out there, The momentum they have right now looks good tho, awesome reaction and thanks for sharing, Im def in!
Many major artists don't even write their own lyrics/music all, or a lot of the time. They are manipulated, manufactured products, to ensure the producers, PR and the record companies can all get their cut! There is no emotion in such a 'business' … except greed may be? Hello Brewtiful! It's a great song (gets me every time) and thanks for a great reaction! Thumbs up (already subscribed!!!) 😁
This song was written and composed by Pau as a therapy for a very very down point in her life. She had no intentions of ever having anyone else hear it. It ended up on the album. They needed one more song and they had nothing ready. So Pau pulled out this beautiful and sad song from her files. I am sure when she sees ngs or, I bet ngs back those dark feelings she had. The crowd wanted her to know she was very much loved.
I greatly appreciated your comments about how few young artists these days make us feel they are sincere, genuine and authentic. First off, they need to have the talent to not use autotune and/or pitch correction. The Warning are family oriented, sincere, genuine and humble. I have seen them live 5 times. The other young artist who also meets all these qualities, is Angelina Jordan, a 18 year old self-taught jazz singer who won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, covering Billie Holiday. Angelina is easily my favorite singer storyteller, and with today being Halloween, her version of the 1956 Screamin Jay Hawkins classic, "I Put a Spell On You" is a must watch. For one of her original songs, I suggest "Million Miles" which Angelina wrote, at age 13, in the days after her maternal grandfather passed away. ruclips.net/video/3KxvwuZ7oEM/видео.htmlsi=3znVxwpWk05oUT39 Angelina always performs barefoot to remind her of the less fortunate children. Her family preferred her to perform at events which raised money for charity and she is the only artist to perform twice at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, before the age of 18.
Angelina is just amazing, so talented and yet so full of compassion, they story of why she performs barefoot, and still does even to this day, is just amazing. It was her performance of When I put a Spell on you that really grabbed my attention, but I think my favourite from her is 7th Heaven, I love that song. Million Miles though is such a beatiful tribute to her grandfather and really hits you in the feels.
This song, as Pau has described as a "panic attack set to music" perfectly expresses the loneliness and helpless feeling many that suffer from depression/anxiety attacks deal with from time to time. "Perfect in pain, it's the same all the time" perhaps speaks to the need to be "perfect" but doing so while suffering from such desperate feeling (my own interpretation). "I beg myself to breathe, but there's nothing within reach now" feels like a cry for a greater purpose and a reason to continue on (a beautifully written sentiment...again, my own interpretation). With so many Gen Z'ers suffering from isolation due to our social media driven world, this fabulous work of art, in my view, can be a voice for an entire generation who experience many of these same thoughts. A brilliant piece of art. PS...just getting this out of the way...this is NOT about the loss of a friend that so many want to say it is (no one associated with The Warning has ever even alluded to this rumor, but yet so many still believe it). Please don't fall for this fan-fiction rumor...That is all..😉
Do you remember where she said that? Someone else remembers seeing an early "Error" interview where she said that but doesn't remember who or what. Would love to find that interview and maybe get out there to clear up the misconceptions.
This song, to me, is the final justification for the narrator''s suicide. Such powerful writing and performing. I love these girls. Now, you gotta do When I'm Alone, performed by Dany from the same concert. You wont be sorry. But have the English transkation turned on.
*Story behind Breathe:* After finishing their album *Error* in the studio. Their label, Lava Records, wanted another song. Pau recorded Breathe at there home. Gave Breathe to Lava Records to the song as a bonus track on *Error* with the stipulation *PAU WILL NOT PLAY THE SONG LIVE.* Since the song Breathe is very personal to her. I read via multiple comments (taken with a grain of salt) that it's about a friend of hers that committed suicide. The only time Breathe was played at a Warning concert was the two shows at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX venue. The studio track was played while the band off stage doing an outfit change. Pepsi Center: Pau stated to crowd before hand that she was ill. That she & her sisters were overwhelmed with the audience of 8,000 there to see them. She also wanted to play Breathe that night. She started and audience started to sing. Pau came back & said *"I must sing this song".* More likely, *NEVER SAY NEVER,* Pau will not play Breathe live again.
I've only heard it described as a panic attack set to music. it's only fairly recently that I've seen others post about her loosing a friend to suicide until she says what its really about it just speculation. I know Dany lost a friend and one of her midnight covid shows mentioned it and sang a song that reminded her of them.
@kevinthetruckdriver353 😼👽👏🏻Thanks for your background information. kev.🙏 Very practical and helpful even the one... "Take it with a grain of salt." Gotcha Kev. Dave From New Zealand 🇳🇿 🫡 Sweet as, catchya later mate
For the Error album, the studio requested another song. Pau had written Breathe and agreed to have it on the album if she never had to play it live. That was written into the album contract. The recorded version was not done in a studio, but with Pau playing their slightly out of tune home piano. During the album debut concert (Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 ruclips.net/video/FGzD4PkhARk/видео.html), they played the album track with no one on stage. Gave me the chills. This may be the only time this song will be performed live. Dany, Pau, and Ale all are classically trained pianists. Pau starts writing most songs by playing on the piano. She has commented that the drums don't have many notes. Incidentally, Dany and Ale played saxophone in high school. At the beginning, Pau says this song is personal. There are rumors, but no confirmation, that this song is about a friend of hers who died/drowned/committed suicide.
Great reaction, in all my years of watching bands perform I have never seen anything like these ladies, they are truly something very special .⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🤘🤘🫶
I’ve thought the same..all the way up to The Who ..Led Zeppelin..Queen even The Beatles…I look for weakness ..everywhere..scour and scratch but nothing..and they havnt reached their zenith yet..Ale will find her definite lead vocal ..wow
Who's chopping onions?? I imagine her going back stage, getting a huge hug from her sisters, and then gaining composure enough to come back out since the next song was Enter Sandman!!
This was an amazing performance, as emotive as Pau has ever been. She is a brilliant lyricist and composer who sings with an ability to get deeply inside a character, pull out what that person is thinking, and then make the rest of us understand it or feel it. In this case, I think a lot of us understand that feeling. She let something go that night. And then she got back on her drum kit and KILLED *Enter Sandman,* along with a ten-piece string section and her sisters.
Really Special, The best reaction to this song I've seen. Please next "When I'm Alone " (Pepsi Center" Just Dany with her Acoustic Guitar. Also a very emotional and authentic song...
For the best quality, yes. For the most emotional version watch the Monterrey performance. I seem to remember before Dany played WIA in CDMX she also made a comment that the crowd wasn’t going to make her cry that night. Playing in Monterrey is always special to them being it’s their hometown.
😽👽👏🏻 😮 who stole the tissues, big baby's crying 🤧 Dang, no "WARNING,"..all pun intended. Well said, my dear. A good heartful ❤️ summary of appreciation towards the touching affects Pau who had only conveyed in word until that beautiful explosion of tears of gratitude mixed with awareness that her TEAM MATES had connected with her on all levels. Her once vulnerable heart synced with the 8000 receptive hearts singing along with her basically saying, Dear Pau, you are not alone, there are 8000 and more of the Warning Army ready to run ahead of you into battle and to prove it...JUST SAY THE WORD. Her words echoing in their hearts "So deep you want to disappear without a trace...perfect in pain," and calling out to herself because DOWN THERE in the void is no one else to hear her Lost-Self only something INDESCRIBABLE that wants her company "all the time". Is it so wrong, wrong to want to be so right all the time...I'm glad you didn't tear up. But you would had given us a WARNING Right? otherwise it would have been unbearable, Twice in a row, remember, "THE DAYS OF NOAH." New Zealand 🇳🇿 would had been inundated with 💧🥺🥹😢😥😭 Well, in my little neck of the woods anyway FOR SURE 😊 but thank you I'm glad to come 🏄♀️ surf your channel with you. Bye for now🙋Adios Amigo- your kiwi bro signing off Kia Ora mate till next time
Unlike some of your other commenters that interpret this song as being about "depression" or "suicide" by The Warning (Pau) but it actually is about helplessness. Pau wrote this song many years ago when she was younger than now. More specifically, like Dani's "When I'm Alone" it is about being a young person faced with confusing personal and high pressure events in their real world and not being a grown-up and not knowing what it means or how to solve the problem in front of you. We all go thru these moments growing up and that is why this such a powerful song that everyone relates to.
Agree, it can be related to feeling sofocated, overwhelmed by situations out of your control or feeling the heat when someone's under a lot of pressure. Who knows, as they've mentioned before, songs can mean different things for any of us.
Although not as emotional, their song "Choke" relates the same kind of feelings. In at least one interview, they (ie, Pau) said sometimes one has to just drown in the emotions before one can come out on the other side (my paraphrasing, but pretty sure I got the essence of it).
Paulina did my favorite song right before this Black HOLES IT'S A VERY POWERFUL LYRICAL AND INSTRUMENTAL SONG JUST LIKE THIS ONE. Great job with your reaction and thoughts on this song.
No you did not talk-this song is so deep that even 68 year old tears up whenever I see this clip. She was SOOO sick this show, Dani and Ale were also not well but Pau had been to the hospital that day and the show w3ent on. Five minutes later the stage was reset and Pau was on the throne for Enter Sandman.
I'm too old to cry. Okay I'm a liar too.. I only cry when, I hear the end of Martirio, when the Ooo's 0o's start. When Pau plays Black Holes, Breathe , Creep cover, The End(QOMS) When Dany plays, When I'm alone. 🌎✌️
Another 60+ crybaby here, and not ashamed to admit that I have no issues with bringing out the tissues! The Power of Paulina is a force to be reckoned with, isn't it? Whew.
For many of us fans, we have been following these young women since they were very young girls (yeah I know that sounds kinda creepy). As such, we are often overprotective of them, we don't like to see them in pain or upset, and there have been a few occasions. This song is one Pau said she would never perform live, in fact it was a condition on its being included on their album Error. But at this concert she made the snap decision to perform this live, despite the song being deeply personal to her. We all watched as Pau opened herself up to show just how much this song means to her and we cried along with her. But hearing 8000 fans finishing the song an obviously distraught Pau really hit us hard, the love the fans at the show had was just wonderful. However some fans do take things a little too far, and attacking a reactor for not feeling the same as what they feel is not something the majority of fans condone or support. Being over zealous is not an excuse to attack others for not feeling the same, that is just not right. Just as it is not right for those same people to attack others for not liking a song. Unfortunately as the fan base grows it attracts many who do not understand who and where The Warning come from. The Warning are respectful to others, compassionate, open and honest, and it is up to us as fans to follow their example and not attack others for having differing opinions. Many of the new fans fail to understand this fact, so on behalf of the genuine and respectful fans I Apologize (Another great song btw) if any of the others have made comments to you that have been disrespectful and hurtful, that is not the way a true fan should behave.
It's the same across all media, my advise is to don't pay attention to the disingenunous people who are only in it for money or attention and focus one the ones who truly deserve it. So many songs, movies and games are nowadays trying to score virtue points that they are forgetting the best entertainment comes from artists that have a passion for what they do. I had tickets for this concert but never made it to Mexico unfortunately and finding out that Pau performed 'Breathe' the day after will be forever my biggest regret about missing it. However I sincerely hope that this was a once in a lifetime performance because this just can't be replicated.
Hola amiga. The Warning nos une.
The music 'industry' sells cheaply made, synthetic, auto-tuned crap created by people who don't play musical instruments, can't sing on pitch or in key, and who have no idea how to write a musical score. They are in the business of creating 'personalities' to sell fragrances, clothing lines, shoes or whatever else the consumer public can be duped into buying. The Warning are REAL talented musicians, who deserve all the support we can give them. Anyway.....❤
Pau says thank you, says that she loves us, gets up and leaves. This takes several seconds and only then do you notice and wonder that the song is over. Sorry but did you even see and listen to the video or slept with your eyes open. According to your reaction, which was none, says no. Never seen anyone so empty and rigid with such a bored expression.
😂😂😂 Fun Fact: you don’t have to watch me! Thanks for telling me how to show emotion though! Because I’m not actively crying, does not mean I don’t feel emotion. I’m free to react how I want, and if this is an issue, don’t announce your departure this isn’t an airport 😂
Making grown men weep. Exceptional talent!!
Pau composes on piano.

New Zealand 🇳🇿 would had been inundated with 💧🥺🥹😢😥😭 Well, in my little neck of the woods anyway FOR SURE 😊 but thank you I'm glad to come 🏄♀️ surf your channel with you. Bye for now🙋Adios Amigo- your kiwi bro signing off Kia Ora mate till next time
I enjoyed this one and you were on point with your reaction... it felt honest just like the warning and that is what we love about them.
Great reaction and analysis. I couldn't agree with your more.
In at least one interview, they (ie, Pau) said sometimes one has to just drown in the emotions before one can come out on the other side (my paraphrasing, but pretty sure I got the essence of it).
just passing by to say hi
🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥😢
Paulina did my favorite song right before this Black HOLES IT'S A VERY POWERFUL LYRICAL AND INSTRUMENTAL SONG JUST LIKE THIS ONE. Great job with your reaction and thoughts on this song.
If the song don't get you, her beautiful smile will....:)
Check out "The Warning before the Warning" to see their piano skills.
Same here, and im 67. This band I'd amazing.
I'm too old to cry. Okay I'm a liar too.. I only cry when, I hear the end of Martirio, when the Ooo's 0o's start. When Pau plays Black Holes, Breathe , Creep cover, The End(QOMS) When Dany plays, When I'm alone. 🌎✌️
@@SO.CAL-D.Edwards What's with all you wimps?
It's weird it's hay fever season here in the winter. I've never teared up like this in the winter....:)
Another 60+ crybaby here, and not ashamed to admit that I have no issues with bringing out the tissues! The Power of Paulina is a force to be reckoned with, isn't it? Whew.
@@solarvanlife8177 I get attacked by ninjas a lot. they just sneak right up and grind onions in my eyes.

Seeing them live ..in a real show …not a warmup..not that it really matters but they are so beautiful..and shake the house like Led Zeppelin
Actually Pau was not able to finish the song as she had written it. The emotion of the moment took over.
❤️😭❤️
Watch lives from their first two albums, you will see all 3 play piano on stage.
Pau + piano = 😭

Charles in charge ?😂
Hola amiga.
The Warning nos une.
As far as I know, she has never played this live since

If this doesn't hit you square in the feels, check your pulse.
