Thank you I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos. The rear headrest were only available on the wagons with the third row seat for the North America spec cars.
I think they maybe were available as an option on the 300SD but I think it was on the second generation 300SD not the first generation from 1981 to 1985. I'm not sure about that though.
They were thank you I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos. please feel free to email me or call me directly if you would like to discuss pricing on any of the vehicles.
My father brought original one that used to belong to Royal family and not much mileage, no abuse the paint was 3 layers and it was made in Studguart, Germany in original pait. He have to sell it and the person who broght it used for Taxi.
Surprised you're not asking 80k-100K. Who ever buys it, can flip it for more in 2 years or less. Better return on investment, comparing to the stock market. 😁
@@woodsandbarclay Didn't know w116 300SD were worth that much. I was thinking maybe the 6.9L V8 rare models. The w116 will not be as special, as the w123 or the w126 models.
@@vintage76vipergreenBeetleOh yeah the w116 is a superior car to the 123 and 126 it's fetching almost double the money for equivalent mileage. A 10,000 MI w116 300SD brings 80 to 100k. Much more rare and desirable vehicle for the people that know about them.
No one said this was a 100k car. If you would like to know what this car sold for please don't hesitate to contact me directly. I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos. 😎
One of the best cars ever built! This car will run forever!
If taken care of it will last for generations to come.
Love seeing this pristine example. Amazing !
Thank you Impalaman!
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you Dave.
Beautiful example and genuine collector car. Rear headrests would look so good on her, but I guess it was never optioned.

@woodsandbarclay
I never knew that interesting, I've often wondered.

Wow!!!
Hey John, Can one use 75W90 differential oil in the W123? Or do you really recommend stay with 80W90?
You can use 75w90, 80w90, 85w90 etc. Any of those will be fine.
Beautiful car

Samo 10 tisuća milja. To je još tvorničko stanje. Takvo nešto vidjeti stvara želju imati ga za sebe i sa njime se ponositi. Problem je novac.
Yes I completely understand cars like this are are not cheap. I wish I could keep a few of them but that's not my business if you know what I mean.

The market hasn't yet reached the 80 to 100K mark on 300D's. It has reached that on the w116 chassis but not yet on the w123.

@@woodsandbarclay The last time I saw someone driving a w116 gas or diesel model, was back in the early 1990's here in RI, MA area.
@vintage76vipergreenBeetle Yeah most of the remaining w116 cars that are extremely nice are in private collections and don't get driven too often.
that is not 100k car itl prbl never be.
