Hey I noticed that your sites have "privacy policy" and "terms of service" at the bottom(btw they are not working on stackpages). Either way where did you find the text or legal verbiage for this? did you hire a lawyer or someone to write those? Do you have any videos on "terms and conditions", or faq about your customers cancelling subscriptions etc? Essentially how to avoid being sued and other best practices related to legal issues when building a saas? This could include usage of license(copyright etc), proper bylaws and customer support
I’m also interested in this information
Can you please tell us why did you decide to get a job? Instead of running your own business.
That's a good question. I guess because I wanted to see if I'd like it or not.
Health insurance? Guaranteed income
I am building a SaaS application which integrates data api with notion templates
As a developer I am started building it without MVP or customer feedback,
If I fail it will be a great portfolio project for me
I am using Nodejs ReactJs Mongodb Docker and AWS
hey nice video. im an indiehacker and i was making mobile apps for last 2 years in hope of it becoming succesful. Till now none of my projects have made any revenue yet. So i was thinking to take a job and build my startup in free time as a side project. My question is should i mention on my resume that it was a "startup" or write it is my portfolio projects? Should i mention that i made it to generate revenue or i should mention that it was just a fun side project? And lastly can i see your resume?
Hey Jordan! Great to see you again back and pushing so much good content lately.
What about making a video and telling your fans/followers what you currently doing now. Are you running a business right now?
How do you get the ideas to build your SaaS solutions?
what the key words if i need my customers to add their own domains ? example create store and then my customer can add his domain
These are very complex projects!! You did all of it single-handedly or did you use freelancers / agencies?
Binge watching your SaaS videos rn 😁Going with Django + Vue as that's what I know best.
Great content...would really love to see you make a 4-6hours video where you take us on a step by step journey to build our first WebApp. It could boost the careers of millions of people now and in the future.
I'm going to add this to my Academy soon (not free though).
Been thinking about venturing into consulting outside of my full time developer job, I have a client that wants a mobile app for their small retail business, any suggestions on a stack to use?
Depends on what they want the app to do. There are a lot of low/no code app builders for simple apps (bubble, AppGyver, etc). If its complicated, maybe react native + firebase.
Hey Jordan, why did you create your first project/website? I limit myself creatively and I want to change my way of thinking to build something new or at least without following a tutorial. I want to be able to speak about the project and talk about what/when/why/how. These tutorials don’t really set you up for interviews, because they give you the answers
Hey Alexander, I built it to start a business/make an income. I think this part was impressive to potential jobs as I had to learn about more than just coding.
Business and seeing a bigger picture is typically neglected by engineers so it gives you a leg up if you're 'well rounded'
Thank you so much for your time and videos. You have shown me so much!
I'm working on review software for businesses, that will allow them to send sms messages. I'm working with twilio and No code (I'm brand new to this), How can I set up a webpage with profiles that will track the cash per customer?
retrieve the balance of each twilio account for each customer, you would need to store this information in a database. I would suggest you to look into airtable given it is essentailly a no code database.
@@nickserna3238 Awesome! I'll check it out. Thank you so much for pointing me towards it!
🤔🤔🤔🤔 Oh my god...
Seeing after two year's..
Why don't you upload videos man ?
I gat no laptop, computer or any good electronic staff how am going do this 😭😭😭😭
I think I might do a video where I try to make a SaaS using a phone 🤔 could be fun heh
If you are serious about this, take a regular boring side hustle for a few weeks or months, like delivering pizzas, to save up for a computer.
Currently I’m building marketing page builder ✌️
If possible could I get a closer look at Atlas ?
I sold it, so no, unfortunately I cannot show off the source code as I don't own it anymore.
Jordan, what's a good starting point for learning this 'stack' of apps? Do you recommend any tutorials? How did you learn?
I will likely put something together soon. I learned from a hodgepodge of sources. What's your starting point? What do you currently know?
This channel is a gold.
how long did it take u to learn node, react, ect all those apps seems complex
A few months. It can be complex, but its worth learning
