Josh and Scout, a Mutual Rescue Story

“A lot can happen in just a few minutes…” Josh Marino is a Purple Heart recipient. During his last tour in Iraq, a mortar attack caused traumatic brain injury, and left him with severe PTSD. The understanding of PTSD was different than it is today. Josh suffered so much that he was about to end his life. Serendipity, Fate, whatever you want to call it, stepped in in the form of a kitten, he later named Scout. Josh recounts how this little cat changed his life. Scout gave Josh purpose again.
