9:49 Saw you overtighten that spur gear shaft cover! Please, folks, only LOOSEN with power tools, don’t tighten with them, even on lowest torque setting!
OK Professor. Almost finished my Uber Ultimate Upgraded Xmaxx at just over 3K now !! hehehe.. Keep up the Awesome Xmaxx Show.. Me and the wife really appreciate the Best explanation and experimental experience and Opinion and Idea's I'm on my 6th Xmaxx.. Just RC Crazy I guess.. Just have fun and RC..
I'll be watching for the run with these gears, also I disconnect the fan and temp wires from the receiver and run them over top of that cross bar from the chassis brace, that gives you lots of room to move the motor out of the way when doing gear changes!!!
Wow nice pinion has a c clip very nice. Only problem i had with the cush drive was the rubber was worn out so my 7791 pinion gear that goes into the rear diff got chewed up. Tried to ear plug the cush drive but then it was even worse. I am pretty hard on the trigger aka love catwalks and sliding around.
I put shim paper under my motor mounts because mesh is way to tight otherwise. Coasts way more when off gas too , tight mesh causes more heet an less speed. That part of my xmaxx is 1st production run 2016. The rest is upgraded to 8s xmaxx completely. An like xrt tires best
Heya Earl. Big fan of ya and your channel. I’m the dude down the 118 from ya. Havnt seen you post much of your Losi ProMoto lately. On my way to my LHS this morning in a couple. They have a bunch. Still like it? Worth picking up? -J
@@earlmoorhead5555 not gonna lie earl. This thing is fun!! I let the neighbors kid run it and he’s super psyched. Not sure but I think I’m gonna leave this one all stock. Just a fun mess around one. .
You should get some top speed out of that. I am guessing 55-60 mph on pavement. I was taking the stock 20T pinion off of my new XRT the other day as I bought a machined hardened set for it. I used my 950 watt soldering iron to heat the set screw and removed it but no way would the gear come off. They had saturated the motor shaft with red loctite and the pinion was stuck on hard. I tried heating the pinion up but didn't want too much heat to go into the motor. In the end I had to use a combination of heat on the pinion and a small puller I had to get the pinion to come off of the shaft.
@@Doug_Morgan you can use gas station too. , I’m surprised it’s refillable too , have a cheap one I like to use for just small screws , than one that flames to big for rcs , I don’t know what these guys are cooking 🧑🍳 😆
Just giving ideas , I’ve used the solder gun too , don’t remember having these issues till recent years with arrma going crazy with the red lock tight , pinion gears always been a hassle I have a puller I wish I had in my younger days , looks old too , thanks dad lol
The power curve of the electric motor how well it spin the motor like a 20 speed bicycle changing the front sprocket vs the rear sprocket how hard the motor works as temperature with the motor with the 46 spur heat up quickly as you’re seeing this did not 🤓
Just another way for Traxxas to make more money on top of the selling price , as much as it costs , there shouldn't be ANYTHING , to add to it , just like the max slash , it's got the pathetic $20 servo in it so if you want to run it after 5 battery packs , you will need to buy a real servo first , plus the wide kit , tires that get traction , and heavier springs in front , all this after buying it for freeeeekn $700 ! They refuse to change or improve , there radio is 12 years old for just one thing ABSUGULOOOOLY PATHETIC !!
So your a traxxas fan 😂 there’s rc community and traxxas you can’t compare to each other, both have advantages, you know about RCs for most it’s a learning experience that traxxas markets towards . These are great stock with maxx 6 and little more gearing funny just making it wider better tires you can start chasing your tail , more power to ground harder on the gears ⚙️, I’m curious how the red cat will do . I’d say this going go about 55 , good amount if the motor can take it , starting to need more power if you want more flips
Xmaxx University with Professor Earl.

Another awesome video Earl , I guess with that gear ratio now installed my guess would some where around 58-60 mph !!
Will see if i can get those 44 gears in the UK yet
Victoria Park maybe?

Mini torch works better than the soider gun if you didn’t have a puller , you hear the locktight crackle
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw I have one but out of butane for it. I keep forgetting to pick up some cartridges for it when I am at the hardware store.

Speed gears for EVERYONE
Yes available now get em while they’re hot
23/44 is a ratio of 1.913 and 24/46 is a ratio of 1.916, I don't get it, what's the advantage of the 44T in the X-maxx?

My Guess would be... Drum roll please.... 56 MPH.. Potentially 62 MPH .. RC Crazy !!
Boom 🎉
My guess is 55-56 mph. 😊👍🤙🤪
