3:09 Like a lot of others already commented, the CGI when he jumps from the building looks so freaking good! Especially since this film came out nearly 30 years ago. I think what helped make these early 90’s films work so well though was that they were sparring with the amount of cgi they used.
She never quite looked as good as she did in this movie...same with Famke Janssen in Goldeneye. Feels like they had surgeries to prevent aging, only to look older anyway. Or it's the 90s makeup lol
Kidman's had surgery for her entire career since the 80s. That's why she doesn't look weird today; she did it right. You don't do surgery when you're already old, you do it gradually, starting at age 25 if you have the money/willingness. Not a way to live, but damn. It's an investment that'll get you looking 20 years younger when you're 60, and not look like you had surgery.
Batman's entrance and subsequent backflip off the podium is just 🔥🔥! Plus the sound design and music in this scene and the movie as a whole is so fucking good! This movie blew my mind as a kid in the early 2000's and I still love it to this day.
Brandon Spain I don’t think he would have because Burton used him as bait to get Jack Nicholson to play the Joker in the original Batman so even if Burton did direct this one, Williams wouldn’t have accepted.
@@chrispeplinski7306 as far as big list actors go, Robin Williams was at least imo always a great pick for the riddler. Watch 1 Hour Photo or Insomnia. Actually World's Greatest Dad I thought displayed what would have made him a perfect riddler. There are a few scenes that make me cringe, I must admit. Like Jim Carey acting like a game show host when he's supposed to be explaining that he's sucking out brain waves and any scene with Nicole Kidman talking.

Let’s admit; that shot from 3:11 was epic and something that needs to be seen more often in such a superhero movie. One thing Schumacher did very right
The cinematographer for the new Batman has defo drawn inspiration from this but completely refreshed it (he’s done a few big films recently in a row and they’re all phenomenal)
He did A LOT right. For the life of me, I can't figure out how it became popular to drag the Schumacher films. Batman & Robin has its flaws, but it's enjoyable, too.

That's not true if you look closely he is using his bat cap to slow him self down like a parachute/glider remeber bat man can glide and even fly sometimes
@José Menendéz It's half as good as it could be. If the movie had a respectable Two Face instead of a buffoon and actually left in diary subplot than yes. But didn't do those things so at best it's ok.
3:57 - I'm betting these henchman (and their mannerisms) inspired some of what you see in the 'Batman Arkham' games :) *Really loved the first two of those games. Classics*

Hardly an unpopular opinion. The fighting in the nolan films was really underwhelming. Schumachers may have made it too light and camp but give the man credit he knew how to stage exciting action.
What I liked about this batman is that he was the kind of hero that was publicly applauded, as opposed to the dark knight being nothing more than a vigilante
What I was trying to say was isn’t Batman originally just a vigilante? It’s okay for movies to try something different but that’s what he’s supposed to be originally so obviously he’ll be interpreted as a vigilante

3:09 Like a lot of others already commented, the CGI when he jumps from the building looks so freaking good! Especially since this film came out nearly 30 years ago. I think what helped make these early 90’s films work so well though was that they were sparring with the amount of cgi they used.
Ah, 90s....when adding neon lighting to ordinary things was a 'cool' thing to do.
And yes, Nicky Kidman, pre-surgery? DAMNNN
And almost 30 years later still hot in Aquaman
She never quite looked as good as she did in this movie...same with Famke Janssen in Goldeneye. Feels like they had surgeries to prevent aging, only to look older anyway. Or it's the 90s makeup lol
Lol mando doubts this
Kidman's had surgery for her entire career since the 80s.
They did that in 2010s comics

@@chrispeplinski7306 I'd say he'd make a better Mad Hatter
@@chrispeplinski7306 as far as big list actors go, Robin Williams was at least imo always a great pick for the riddler. Watch 1 Hour Photo or Insomnia. Actually World's Greatest Dad I thought displayed what would have made him a perfect riddler. A middle/older aged white man that's quirky/quick witted/clever with an unhealthy hero worship of Bruce Wayne gets fired and snaps. I never really like Williams much, but I always thought he would have been perfect as The Riddler, especially if it would have been a Nolan Batman.
when i was children i love this movie, now i continue to like it
Andrea Piccini lmao same
I always put it right behind the original 89 film, never cared for Returns or Batman & Robin.
There are a few scenes that make me cringe, I must admit. Like Jim Carey acting like a game show host when he's supposed to be explaining that he's sucking out brain waves and any scene with Nicole Kidman talking.
Nothing came closer to the animated series than Batman Forever, it's literally the cartoon brought to the big screen.

You can also see, against that first thug he fights one on one, that when he knocks the gun away and throws a punch, the punch doesn't connect.
That particular fight scene when he kicks the thug is a callback to the 1989 film when Keaton's Batman knocks out the sword guy with a single kick.

Yeah
Not one
With the exception of Marvel, movies ate scared to show the heroes dressed up. Wtf
The cinematographer for the new Batman has defo drawn inspiration from this but completely refreshed it (he’s done a few big films recently in a row and they’re all phenomenal)
He did A LOT right. For the life of me, I can't figure out how it became popular to drag the Schumacher films. Batman & Robin has its flaws, but it's enjoyable, too.
they actually saved his life with that tube, he had nothing slowing him down and seemed to intentionally go faster, if that tube wasnt there he woulda hit the ground and died from impact.
I think the plan was elaborate for a reason
That's not true if you look closely he is using his bat cap to slow him self down like a parachute/glider remeber bat man can glide and even fly sometimes
Batman forever is so underrated and a lot darker than people give it credit for

The villains drag it down. Riddler would have been fine like that but if Two face played more seriously it would have been better.
