I think I'm against the submission that we should send people to jail arbitrarily when the option of fine is there. I say increase the fine, it's a way of making revenue for the government. When people go to prison, they do so on taxpayers money especially when our country’s prisons are overcrowded.

Read about the law that takes about that crime. A Nollywood actress has been sent to prison too.
The goal is to punish the offender and the fine is 50k which can no longer be effective as of now. If it was to be the case, people can just do anything with the currency and then pay the 50k fine after.
So, the judge had the power to make the offender face the effective consequence, and that's what she did.
I love the judgement. Kudos to the judge. Lesson to the rest with the thought of still wanting to show off and you will be shown of in jail.
