I felt bad for Toby when he lost his money...too bad he had to tell Mr. Meanie Standish about it & it's sad he took advantage of Toby on purpose. Standish is very cruel, mean & selfish!! He won't change!

To my recollection, Mary went blind way before that. In the city she was a teacher. and before that she was in the school for the blind in Iowa where she was taught how to make her bed, read Braille etc.
