I am 70 now, the very first record I bought ( a 45 for my fellow oldies) in 1968 it was Robin with " I started a joke" and that introduced me to the BeeGees 😊🎉. I have listened to the song " Too Much Heaven " over a thousand times and I get the same reaction each and every time I hear it😅😢🎉😊. Welcome to this beautiful music, loved your reaction.
🇨🇦 Some of the best music ever created was between 1959 and 1989 ! There is not a lot of music these days that even comes close to this level of talent !
This song came out in 1978, the year I got married. We celebrated 46 wonderful years in June. Barry Gibb, the lead singer, and his wife have been married about 50 years. True love and respect was the norm back then. It was reflected in our music!
It's so sad we live such short lives. I can't imagine a talent like these guys again. The stage isn't set for them to succeed nor is there a bridge from todays music, to this. Music evolved to that style. I don't see it evolving from this point in time to anything like the music of the sixties, seventies and eighties.
Welcome in the Univers of the Bee Gees. They had so many Songs. And every Song is a surprice. I grow up with the best Group ever. Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees. ❤❤❤
Feel so bad for Barry Gibb.. He's buried all his 3 younger brothers.. Can't imagine that pain. Those harmonies are lost forever now. I had one sibling.. older than me.. lost her 8 yrs ago.. it still hurts.
Starr, you got filled up with pure Spirit again, didn’t you?! It’s a powerful song about real love. You can’t sing like that, where it transfers what you feel from your heart right the hearts of others, unless you really mean it. Boy, they did! That must be what the music is like in Heaven. Wow.
You can never go wrong with these 3 brothers! Since you enjoyed them, you need to check out their younger brother Andy Gibb “Shadow Dancing” “Love is thicker than water” “ I just want to be your everything”. Since you’ve heard Barry singing lead, you now need to hear Maurice singing lead in Man in the Middle and Robin singing lead in I started a joke! Today (12/22) is Robin and Maurice’s birthday!!! Happy birthday Mo and Robin!!!! RIP ANDY MAURICE AND ROBIN!!! You are missed!
"Too Much Heaven" is a Bee Gees classic probably one of his most famous songs worldwide worldwide success between 1978/1979 Although it is a very beautiful song I have other songs by them that I like much more. generally the oldest, such as Massachusetts (1967) Lamplight (1969) My world (1972) Mr Natural (1974) and after them For Whom the Bells Toll (1993) They complete my Top5 of the Bee Gees I suggest any of these for future reactions. In addition to his greatest successes Bee Gees donate royalties from "Too Much Heaven" to UNICEF His Manager organized a historic Concert at the United Nations, exactly 45 years ago, on January 9, 1979. Several artists were invited, who performed songs and donated royalties to UNICEF Americans also participated Rita Coolidge Kris Kristofferson Donna Summer John Denver Earth Wind & Fire the British Andy Gibb (younger brother of the Bee Gees) Olivia Newton-John Rod Stewart and the only non-English speakers: the Swedish quartet ABBA
I’m right there with you filled with emotion every time beautiful girl. Thank you for sharing your appreciation for this Angelical masterpiece by The Bee Gees♥️
I am smiling wide for this song ... I was finishing high school just outside Cape Town, SA when I played this on a portable tape-deck to my girl (1979 - 80) ... and you already know how that went! Eish!
Love your reaction to this beautiful song! Their range, harmony and song writing skills are second to none. The Brothers Brilliant never disappoint. So much talent in one family. They donated all of the proceeds from this song to UNICEF. They are lovely men inside and out!
You are emotional, for me a show of emotion is a good signal that you have a good heart and care for people, and that you have love in your soul, this is something I admire, thank you for your reaction to a great song. 🎄🌹
Your precious reaction is exactly why God blessed some with the voices of angels. This is the beauty of music. Reaches into your soul and fills it with pure joy. 😇😇😇
Such a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. I am from a different time and place from you (you are vert young, I was 5 when this song was recorded). Your emotional reaction (same as mine when I hear it) makes me want to hold your hand or give you a hug whilst listening to this incredible song. Thank you for your lovely review!
Wait….you’re falling in love! It’s written all over your beautiful face! So awesome to see younger generations discover the magic of the BeeGees! They’re the real deal and the total experience!
a separate comment It was precisely the latter that I wanted to talk to you about. That night ABBA premiered their song "Chiquitita" which was an extraordinary success, especially in Latin American countries like mine, Argentina, in South America. ABBA is a quartet basically made up of two musicians, composers and backup singers, and two female lead singers, who in the beginning were also couples. ABBA has around 20 world hits between 1974/1982, their first hit was "Waterloo" exactly 50 years ago and their biggest hit is "Dancing Queen"; and after almost 40 years they recorded again and released a new album "Voyage" in 2021 Just as the Bee Gees are masters of vocal harmonies, so is ABBA, privileging its female voices That is why it is my suggestion that you react to "Chiquitita" at the UNICEF Concert It is a contemporary song from "Too Much Heaven"
I just came across you're videos. My husband and I used to Roller Skate 🛼 to this song when we were in High School in Anchorage, Alaska back in the day.. I was 15 & he was 16 what we dated in High School.. We still dance to this song.. I also used to practice cheerleading and gymnastics in school..
I know how much you enjoy the "Bee "Gee's" I hope you would take the time to listen to Robin's rendition of "Rings around the Moon" played with footage of his funeral. It's very emotional and beautiful. It will bring tears but it is a must listen.
I grew up on all different bands from the 70's to the 90's,if you would like suggestions I grew up on classic rock but I listened to all different types of music 😊
My Oma and her twin sister entered a singing competition when they were I think around 16. They came second, first place was awarded to a young boy group who are now known as the Bee Gee’s!
I've been listening to this music since the '60s I'm a baby boomers This is baby boomers music This is 70 music This is my music. And the Bee gees been singing since the '60s you you going down to rabbit hole!! These three guys are brothers.

YES, YOU CAN FEEL THIS SONG AND THE LYRICS TO YOUR CORE, TO YOUR BONES, YOUR HEART JUST FEELS THE LOVE, UNBELIEVABLY THE MOST PERFECT SONG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Barry was putting hooks in every line
They gave all rights and profits from this song to UNICEF. I believe UNICEF is still getting funds, 10+ millions garnered.
That's what they did. Touch our hearts.
