Michael Kors have a massive international accessories business - their watches and handbags sell extremely well overseas. Luxury fashion designers like Posen should have been aggressive in the accessories market. The profit is in accessories, the prestige is in clothing. Sucks - Posen seemed like a great guy.

This is sad, but not too surprising! The masses can't afford his overpriced designs! I question whether these famous people really paid for their gowns? This is a lesson to be learned: it's more profitable to cater to the 99% instead of the 1 percenters!
Keep in mind most of your high end stores like Barney’s are closing. Discount stores and the internet, as well as, designers discounting their line has not only hurt retailers but themselves. Zac will do fine but will probably have a select group of women that he will design for. Keep it small and he’ll be so much happier. We see what happens when a designer sells their soul the product and brand is cheapen. Why spend money on a MK bag when you’ll find it in TJMAXX or other discounted store in a few months or next season. Stores having too many sales instead of standing behind the line and especially the retailers who sell it.
Kevinappears I agree or on any bag that’s pleather! Will never understand how women will spend thousand of dollars on a bag that’s made of pleather that’s worth less than hundred bucks and is mass produced.

He is with Brooks Bros so he isnt jobless. And as a true artist, things change and his designer dresses will always be wanted.
