With Luigi being entirely larger than Mario, and with Wario remaining absolutely MASSIVE, this implies that the Waluigi of this timeline ends up unfathomably enormous.
I'm ashamed how you forgot to mention how the designers originally intended for the characters designs to be monochrome green, as was the screen of the original Gameboy, but after finding out that emulators would only emulate in monochrome black and white, they had to begrudgingly change their color pallets to blacks, whites, and grey's. Miamoto was notoriously upset about this decision
In fact, it has been stated several times that miamotos disdain for the change from monochrome green to monochrome black and white was because he deliberately wanted the Gameboys games to be green. After the release of donkey Kong, while originally thinking the design fine at the time, he soon grew to regret his choices when designing Mario, specifically that he never made him green. While he was able to somewhat rectify this mistake with the introduction of his very green brother Luigi, and even subtly making super Mario's design greener in the eyes, moustache, shirt, and boots, the damage had already been done. Not only due to Nintendo's strick policy against changeling characters designs out of fear of confusing consumers, but also because of Nintendo's strong association with red before Mario's introduction, making them want their flagship hero to be red, rather than to conform their company's branding to the green of Luigi, who was originally pitched as the player 1 of super Mario bros, miamoto was unable to to make Mario any greener than super Mario. However, he still tried to rectify his mistakes by making his games as Green as possible, by making the koopas, and even Bowser, as Green as he could make them, though he was unable to convince Nintendo to let him make the rest of the super Mario bros cast green. In fact, miamotos desire for yoshi to have a dinosaur companion also sprouted from this desire for more green. When it had finally came time for the Gameboy, miamoto tried to drive Nintendo into a corner, by making the games themselves green, hoping to finally be able to make Mario's design right again. However, he failed to realize that he simply made the Gameboys display green, while the games remained black and white. After this, Nintendo moved to 3d games, to prevent miamoto from forcefully alternating games color pallets again, and even went as far as to make the virtual boy a direct jab at miamotos lust for green, having made the games themselves the same red as Mario's clothes. However, miamoto ended up getting the last laugh, as the world proved that miamotos obsession for changing Mario from red to green was justified, as the overly red display dissuaded the world over, and let it die before even being a year on the market. However, Nintendo has never let miamoto change any characters designs to the objectively better green, not even the game boy characters, who were designed to be green in the first place

This is like looking into an alternate reality and I like that feeling that this video gives off. It kind of gives it a strange feeling to it but it's unique. (Also, the designs are goofy and wonderful at the same time and I Love them!)
0:22 I always thought Mario had angry eyes in his nes big sprite but an unused sprite makes it very clear he’s supposed to have round eyes with yellow highlights
this is outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
@@TheHarryGoldShow What about doing renders based on classic artwork:
Mario (1985 Box Art, Menko Cards show his body is a similar build like his Super Show counterpart)
Luigi (Super Mario Bros. 2 USA)
Peach (1986 Stock Art)
Bowser (1986 Stock Art, same color scheme as his 1986 Anime counterpart)
Toad (Modern Design minus the yellow trim)
Yoshi (Pre-Yoshi’s Story Design/SMW Art)
Lady (Jumpman’s Girlfriend, redrawn to look similar to Peach in the Japanese Mario Character Encyclopedia)
Donkey Kong (Modern Design from Miyamoto’s Initial Sketch reused in Donkey Kong ‘94 and the Game & Watch Gallery games, similar to his Illumination design, but with eyebrows and a lack of Jimmy Neutron style Fudgehead hair)
Donkey Kong Jr. (Nothing changed other than tweaks in DK’94 and Game & Watch Gallery)
Wario (reverts back to longer sleeves on shirt for 3D model)
Baby Bowser (a hybrid between the head of Mario Party’s Koopa Kid, sans the horns, plus Bowser Junior’s Hair and Body, minus the Bandana)
And do Sonic next
@@satamsonic4026 Sonic hasn't had enough design differences to warrant that
MYSTICAT??????? i love your videos tbh.
for once in my life, i am entirely sure that that is most certainly scott the woz himself, man of the hour and my heart.
Peach doing the "eyyy" double point makes my day.
The art in this video, which is official and well known, was absolutely fantastic. I need it in poster form.
That was really fantastic and the time you spent on these was well worth it! It started out funny but not even halfway through I was genuinely excited to see what you'd come up with!! They look so authentic too, like you got both the artstyles and the quality down. And I love "what if"-alternate-universe-scenarios like these, so all of this was perfect for me.
Thank you so much for making this!!! As others pointed out, seeing other Nintendo franchises like Zelda or Metroid would be fun but I could see that being a huge undertaking that might be less rewarding. Subscribed anyway, excited to see what else is to come!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and welcome aboard! I will do my best not to disappoint!

MAKE RARE WARE AGAIN
These are honestly quite impressive and faithful takes on the original pixel art!
I love the Thomas Game Docs parody
after the alternate reality of this fully set in, I found that I really, really liked that SMW Bowser Peach drawing. In fact that abomination of the original peach ended up becoming a pretty interesting character honestly. Maybe better than the peach we got?
Luigi's design is super endearing though, lovin it
3:18 I like that Pauline has this character tic (notable things characters do all the time, like Sonic giving the thumbs up) where she's grasping the side of her dress. Kinda adorable.
Mario used to use the peace sign all the time. He doesn't any more.
@@troywright359Miyamoto-San thought Mario doing that was too childish. He started taking it out of games in Super Mario 64 DS.
God, I can imagine an alternate version of Superstar Saga with giant Luigi just like in the illustrations where there's gimmicks surrounding his size like hopping on his stomach to get up to high places or bopping him around with the hammer like a giant baseball. Amazing work.
most replayed part is when Harry showed us the mario strikers daisy design, i wonder why
I'm very impressed by the artwork, especially some of the clever ones like the DKC render and the art for Mario & Luigi and Yoshi's Island. Very good takes here.
6:54 that is an EXTREMELY cursed goombella
For me it looks cute
she looks like shes eating her tie😂
The DK Country render looked like a Madagascar character and you can't convince me otherwise. Great video!
That peach design is surprisingly appealing. Defenitely doesn't feel like she'd be the same character but still looks good nonetheless
4:09 can't believe you forgot Luigis most characteristic striped socks that were later culled from existence, it was even in the original sprite! (Approximately .2 subpixels in size), smh.
Dead serious, I prefer these classic designs! Great work re-interpreting them through the ages, the crossover into 3D, and across art styles. (Like Paper Mario)
My favorite is the Baby Mario on Yoshi, LOL!
Insane how beautifully you've recreated different artstyles, you're artistic ability is no joke and also inspirational
also SCATT WOZ???
1994 Donkey Kong is going to haunt my dreams.
Edit: I knew Yoshi had lumpy orange arms!
WHY CANT YOU BE MORE POPULAR YOU LITERALLY ARE FROM THE VALLEY DUDE THATS CRAZY! WISHING YOU ALL THE SUCCESS IN THE WORLD
That render for DKC '81 is kinda cursed, but points for commitment
YOOO THESE ART PIECES ARE SO SICK!! Seriously, you did a fantastic job on these I’m geeking out so much right now LOLL
5:38 I thought toad was flipping the bird!
8:03 I'm surprised you didn't give Daisy jowls after you gave Toad that weird cut-out tabard.
Bowser honestly looks very similar to the one featured in the anime movie
Edit: Scott the Woz
oh hello..... funny running into you here.... ahhhh zeek?
@@PinataTime Hey! I wonder what would happen if Zeek! looked like his original sprite hmmm
Liar, it doesn't say "(Edited)" beside the time the comment was made.
@@StrawberryShartCak3 must be a weird RUclips glitch weird lol
Edits don't count
I need to learn this power. You've weaponized nerdy obsession in the best way.
These art pieces and 3D renders look so real!
Thank you kindly!
This is what gaslighting feels like
Dude I love when people do this when you take certain designs from box art or in game sprites so cool
Oh my lord i just have no idea how hard it was to actually draw DK in the DKC box art style, or Daisy in the Mario Strikers style, i hope to someday get to your level of skill!
Also somehow the caricature is finnaly someone i recognize, that being Scott the Woz
The caricature is clearly JonTron, like how could anyone get that wrong?
The Donkey Kong from Donkey Kong Country sees the deep crevices of my soul.
the DK render at 2:55 broke me, laughed way too hard lol
He really said ":)"
He staring to your soul
we should make this a meme
4:30 Finger gun Peach.
This was like an alternate reality I didn't know I needed to see! 💚
Also I found your channel a while back, and I just have to say I really like the style/vibe of your videos! They're quite unique, especially this day and age when being original only gets more difficult. I'm looking forward to more, nice work!! 💚💚
I wish Nintendo would use these designs in one game
They already did
Those quotes in the background make me laugh way harder than I should.
"We have to make them look different, otherwise they would look the same" -Master Oogway
The way Donkey Kong looks in 1991 looks like a Scott Cawthon rendering
"We need to make them look Different, otherwise they would both look the same" your type of Comedy is fucking priceless lol
