INXS was a whole-package band. These guys wrote their own music and lyrics; were good-looking, had fun personalities, great stage presence, were good musicians and professional... the Whole Package imo.
Can you imagine the SOUND in that stadium...... the band is crackin. Like a spaceship taking off. Their musicality how the band members play off of each other.
Inxs were not only the biggest band in the world at that time but also one of the best ever live bands. While Michael Hutchence one of the best ever frontmen, he was incredibly talented and charismatic. Women loved him and men wanted to be him. Tragically he died too young.
Was lucky enough to see INXS live a handful of times and they are still to the this day one of the greatest concerts I’ve been to and Michael was a god on stage, I loved him and it really did feel like he was singing to you even in an event with thousands lol
This is early INXS mate where they mixed funk and dance music, this track is from 1983
Forgot to say, original track was produced by Nile Rodgers with Daryl Hall on backing vocals

They has so many big hits but this was their only song to go to No1 in Australia.

One of the most talented rock bands ever! They have an impressive repertoire of tracks that havent aged at all. Love listening to their music today.

100 000 at Wembley . This is about racism in Australia between our first ppl & the Poms who took their land & interracial relationships Biggest band in the world at this time. Michael was the ultimate showman but very shy off stage. Home gown Aussie born & bred. Ad s asn Australian grew up with these guys. RIP Hutch.

The singer was Michael Hutchence who killed him self in 1997
Hutchence’s body was be discovered by a maid at 11:50 a.m. He was found naked and in a kneeling position behind the door, after a belt around his neck (and attached to the door-closing mechanism) had broken. He had choked to death in a case of apparent suicide. Hutchence was 37 years old.

I'm assuming by your handle and accent that you're Irish?! Anyway, I disagree w/one thing you said. Michael's voice was one of the best in rock-n-roll. That song may not have shown it though. If you want to know how good it can be, I suggest either watching Never Tear Us Apart, the video, or their Wembley Stadium performance. I will say that Original Sin sounds much better in concert than it does on The Swing album, which is way over produced in my opinion. I didn't know how good that song could be until I heard this live version.
P.S. I have this concert on VHS. I need to upgrade to DVD😁
