Yes! Freaking love my favorite band. They have a great catalog. They needed more success in the US. Michael is one of the best frontmen. So sad Michael is gone.
They were pretty popular here. Very MTV-friendly! They broke through to the mainstream with “What You Need” and then went nuclear with Kick! I liked the singles a lot, but The Swing was my first album. Excellent band.

In the 90's I saw INXS closer in France. The australian band was amazing. Strong sounds !
INXS were really good. My favorite by them was their early "Don't Change"

Written by Michael Hutchence, RIP, and Andrew Farriss. Produced by Nile Rodgers. Released in 1984. Same year he produced Like a Virgin for Madonna.
Bryan Adams wanted NR to produce the album Reckless but NR was already booked. The Apple podcast between the 2 tells more details.
Guest singer is Daryl Hall. 3 years later, his partner John Oates sang and wrote Electric Blue with Iva Davies, lead singer of Icehouse.
Holy shit! I knew about the connection between Oates and Davies, but I had no idea Hall did backing vocals on this! Thank you WSC!
More INXS would be great, I hope you get around to it. They never disappoint, and there are so many tracks that come to mind that I feel you would love, knowing a bit now about things that get you moving. ❤
Absolutely love INXS ("In Excess") but this isn't really one of their best known ones in the US. if you listened to anything off of the album Kick from 1987, you would love it and get an even better taste of them -- New Sensation, Devil Inside, Need You Tonight/Mediate, etc. Michael Hutchence was an incredibly magnetic front man.
They all look so young here. Fantastic group.

This was my first encounter with INXS back in the day. Saw them live 2. Loved them and love them. (I'm from Europe not Australia, they did very well in the Netherlands)

yes INSX in one on the best bands in the world, please hear the concern in Wembley Stadium in 1991, great performance with a lot of hits, and abot your information, Billboard put the first spot for the remix with Rob thomas of Original Sin remix, he became a friend to the band, so a great song.
