This is your second reaction to Propaganda,you reacted to p:Machinery around 3 years ago(which you loved),most of their music is quite industrial,Duel is probably the most mainstream
of their singles.Personally,i love all of their work.

Love this song. Only found out today that Steve Lipson and Trevor Horn were producers. Now I know why they sounded familiar.
I have several of their vinyl albums from the 80s,
The vocals are great, love that you can clearly hear her german accent.
The song isn't much about being culty, it is a relationship gone awry compared to a dagger fight.
With "Gloria" you probably mean Laura Branigan. BTW, the song is originally in italian, by Umberto Tozzi. Definitely worth a listen.

I've always adored this song...and the Jewell version, and then the Bejewelled version. Listening to them all really makes you apreciate them individually even more

Try ACT - Snobbery and Decay (1987), Same singer Claudia Brucken, different project. Very underrated and magical song.

Funnily enough, I just rewatched yetsreday your reaction to p:Machinery, which is the first song of theirs you watched and reacted to. You liked that one a lot! This one is okay but not my favorite from the band. Claudia's voice is always beautiful to listen to, IMO, though.
I would go for The 9 Lives of Dr Mabuse next. It's more representative of their stuff, and it's your kind of thing.
So you'd prefer starting with something more mainstream from Propaganda, well you already did when you reacted to p:machinery! A Secret Wish is a major one-time album, very few reactors on it though. You happen to be one of them, please don't disappoint us!

Propaganda is still active, though only three original members (including the singer Claudia Brücken) are part of it and the name changed to xPropaganda.
That record "Duel" grows on you every time you listen to it again. Try it. The synths are epic. The piano solo is beautiful.

Instrumental versions of this song have been used on tv programs…..BBC rally coverage….NFL football…highlight reel usually hard hits tackles…….live version much later ( London) sounds better enhanced bass and guest keyboard player Paul Humphries of OMD

A play on the name Propaganda Due the shady masonic secret society
This version of the song is quite soft, you really need to listen to the “Wishful thinking” album version which is called “Jewelled”!! Believe me it is much racier and louder and would have given you a much better reaction!! BTW the intro to Jewelled has been used as intro’s to many TV shows, mainly sport shows for nearly 40 years!! Check it out!

Claudia Brücken is a lot of things, but "nasally" is not one of them.
Their weakeast and most boring hit. Nothing compraed to the fabulous, dark DR. MABUSE, and also nothing against A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM or the still good P:MACHINERY.
