Thanks for this video, im trying to master makoto and this video is truly helpful, 25 minutes of pure high level makoto plays ,it's amazing (actually hard to find high level makoto's videos .-.)
1: Pick SA2 and Learn the cheap ass Tominaga one touch kill "command grab / SA2 / two uppercut nonesense that dizzies into death" 2: When you have meter and your back is close to corner, make a guess to either command grab into one touch kill or meaty HP "or HP version of the overhead chop" into SA2 into one touch kill 3: Its %20 fundamentals and 80% guessing. Once you hit a random chesto, all you gotta do is guess right 3 more times and you win. Chesto into chesto, or into command grab into chesto or into qcb ex overhead or into low kick chesto the cycle never ends 4: Neutral Jump wiff HK land into command grabs works on everybody that is not brainless. 5: Dont forget to dash into command grab. if they start to bait your dash command grab, do mid screen chesto and start feinting it for mindgames. Dash into low kick cesto is good to or even dash low kick chop 6: Dash under jumps and when you get good.. dash under jump and command grab as they land or just low kick chesto 7: Jump Ex qcb kick is very good. Spam it if you have the meter because nobody you will run up to will be good enough to red parry it 8: Careful with Cr mk and Cr mp they are good pokes but parryable both high and low. Cr sweep is great. Stand mk is great especially against Dudley imo. Meaty Close st Mp into command grab or low kick chesto or chop or whtever just guess. Thiose are just the basics and I cant believe I wrote an encyclopedia about a character I dont even like
stick with SA1 and work on movement in specific matchups. her slow walk quick dash can get you blown up so if you're coming from a shoto it can be a weird adjustment. watch matches too of course.
@@bodler "Cheap ass Tominaga one touch kill" - have you tried that? Easily the hardest kara in the game, especially on Chun. That's why you don't see it all over the place. It's not easy, believe me.
I tried giving Street Fighter V another shot recently with Championship Edition and it just feels so hollow. Every match feels like both sides just waiting to activate their flowchart. I thought maybe it was just me but then I hopped on Third Strike and had a blast all day, even when I was getting bodied. Hopefully whatever the next iteration of Street Fighter is takes some lessons from the old school.
I fucking love 3rd strike but I find it way too hard for me to get into it, so I play sfv more, I hope the release sf6 soon with even more characters and with sf3 characters in it
This game looks soo good but it's so fucking hard to play, and there are no good tutorials on how to play it, it's specially annoying cuz I played a tad bit after watching some videos and couldn't even beat the Arcade mode.
Keep practicing and consider playing online in fightcade with other players , I was the same way when I first started but overtime you’ll eventually get better. Experiment as much as you can with all the characters so that you can find that sweet spot
Great stuff from daisuke as always.
There's something special about watching a character get played so well.
Well put
A good makoto is good for the soul
I love that look steelhammer gives at the end, like "yeah I told you I can beat him" after losing to him like 8 times 🤣
this conversation between commentators is great, they both just love the game

Check out Tominaga’s Makoto.
Makoto may be an op character, but Kentaro the doggo is the ultimate top tier street fighter
wow the last couple matches were so intense this was great
I’m trying to learn makoto but I keep getting bodied

I havent touched SFV for more than 2 years. I came back for two days when Sagat dropped, then deleted it again.
Alpha 2 is also the best Street fighter and SF6 could take notes from that.
think of it like a faster sf four with backwards buttons and guilty gear mechanist
don't we wish that 3rd strike gets a patch update ? like rework of certain OP characters or weak characters
inspirational
I would also like to run a train on Makoto.

@@za_mango the skill roof is extremely high, so it us kind of daunting
Why does the commentator sound like Aris
Is such a treat to watch pro's play sf3. The guys talking sucked though
yeah why are they talking about their personal shit Instead of actually commentating 😴
Lol when I do this stuff I get called a spammer 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
She's so fast!
What's funny, is she has the slowest walk in the game
