Kevin is a straight up stand up guy. I met him once working in a theatre they played in a couple of times as a tech. At that time he was heavily into running. He asked me where an FM station building was located and I was actually able to pretty much show him visually back in the 90's with no computer because of the view across the river to a neighboring state. He ran to that radio station. It was about 5 miles away and the hill to get up their is a serious grade. No large trucks use that road for that reason. He ran up there after the soundcheck and ran back to get ready for the show. He still runs and maybe rides bicycles instead but he he still at it. It truly is damn shame the way the corporates seriously damaged the live music industry. That is how much our congress cares about individuals.
This is a great interview! Love this band and their music! They are amazing and genuine guys who really care about their fans and love what they do! Their happiness resonates on stage and they give performances their all. I have been fortunate to see them 3 times and hopefully will again. Thank you REO Speedwagon! Keep on rollin!

Saw them last night in Austin and they haven't missed a step. It was a great show and so much energy! Loverboy was sick w/ COVID, but Kevin and the boys killed one of their songs.
It was amazing when I saw Daniel and Johnny sing Take It On the Run in Cobra Kai. That was so emotional. I mean they used to kick each others head in at Karate Kid. Love those guys, and I love your music. I hope you'll do a Europe Tour some point too.

Kevin Cronin always thought he has the best sense of humor in rock & roll. Have been rocking to every REO concert since the YCTAPBYCTF tour. (Too young, but I remember the first tjme I heard the band. Mom had on YGWYPF-Live, Gary was screamjnb on the Flying Turkey Trot. I walked out of my room and just stood there mezmermized . . . Then the seque into Golden Country's powerful lyrics and Kevin's unique voice, Ahhhhhh! As a Bob Seger fan vocals always were the thing - pair great vocals with a guitar that sings and I was hooked. Just like Seger & TSBB, I have seen REO Speedwagon everytime they have toured SE Florida - so, a lot. Love the shows with Styx, at Coral Sky Amplitheater (great venue). Don't ya know he'll always be a music man!
In another interview, Kevin said their first few albums were not very good, but I beg to differ. The first album (without Kevin) with Sophisticated Lady and others was a great album but didn't get enough exposure. They were on their way to Prog Rock when Kevin returned and changed the band into a top 40 ballad band, and eventually, Gary 🎸left the band and was forgotten. Gary died hoping to reunite with REO. It was very sad then, and it is still sad today. Keep on Rockin Gary💙

Bruce however was no one until Gary gave him a call, and Kevin wouldn't have been either, until he lied about his musicians referral service and Gary interviewing him and hiring him. Then all of them owe MTV for making them worldly known. However R.E.O. was already big in my area seven or eight years before MTV came out. If any of them would have been true friends they would have stayed in touch with him, but from what I've heard Alan was the only one that did for some time.
It's time to develop community schools that don't cost a f****** thing and guess what they figured out a way to feed children this is been a stickler of an issue for the past 50 years all the money you get for education and you cannot provide meals
