Love my finger throttle. Guard is a must. There is a little bit of a learning curve. Takes about 1 day of riding to get the hang of it. Not the best for trail riding. Made tree riding and side hills easier even on your weak side. Finger will be sore until you build up the strength in it. Way better than putting on a gold finger.
Needs to be angled downward or your wrist is gonna get tired and sore quick. Take the Allen key up when you go ride so you can adjust it to find your comfortable position.
I run one on my 19 Alpha. Feel like I can’t ride without it! I came off a Timbersled last season to my alpha after demoing one with a thumb throttle. I was on a Timbersled since I tore my UCL in my thumb sledding (bonfires gone wrong lol) and since then hadn’t had the strength to hang on and throttle with the thumb. My buddies all run the Munster finger throttle as well and won’t go back. I figured the only way I would be able to sled was with the finger throttle and it’s a game changer not only for my thumb retardedness factor, but just how much more control you feel when you need that grip. Again, last year on the Alpha was the first but it was an unreal upgrade for me!
My first sled i bought was a 2018 freeride and it had one on there, took a few rides to gwt used to but after that it i loved it, everyone who rode my sled liked it alot
I learned how up ride a sled with one since my second ride. Don't know what a regular throttle is like! Lucky me! Btw nice hat!!! Didn't even notice the tape until the end! So awesome
I drove with MUNSTER FINGER THROTTLE on my Hardcore 2016 and i love it, I will run it on my 2021 Khaos 165" this year. One of the best things I change on my machine and I had a lot of candy installed :) Full helium kit, MVM beltdrive, FOX QS3R, Skinz concept ShockBox A-arms & spindels skinz seat and much more :)
I am running a 2015 xm with a Munster finger throttle. Absolutely love it!! I will never go back to a thumb throttle. I have way more control over my sled since I can completely grab both sides of the handle bars rather than trying to grip the throttle side with just your fingers. My finger throttle is older and I cannot put the guard on it so I did end up smashing a tree and over extending my cable, wrecking my TPS sensor and having to tandem tow my machine out. I would highly recommend installing the guard for the finger throttle!!
Just got one to go one the 2021 hardcore and look forward to be seeing you goofballs back on the sleds making us some good vids to watch through the season, keep up the good work and nice move with the hat.
We have one on a 2019 skidoo 900 ace for grooming single track and it's great once you get used to it and much better for throttle control and learning curve is fast and easy
Munster finger throttle is a must best upgrade! However get handguards, your cable will freeze up and stick wide open! Handguards take care of this, at least it did for me...
Put one on my skidoo expert last year and love it!! And yes the guard is a must even if you already have hand guards. I find I can hang onto the bars better and still have good throttle control. It also seems to make it more natural to have a finger on the brake lever at all times now since I use both my index fingers for stop and go. I added the shorty adjustable brake lever from "tricked toys" and now the brake lever fits my short finger perfectly. Munster also makes a great kill switch. No more accidentally pushing the kill switch. Only thing I have found is that with the heated grips on, the handle bars will be plenty warm and the throttle barely warm enough. I've got to go to the dealer to get that adjusted since skidoo has the throttle and handlebar warmers on the same switch. Not a big deal....just saying.
I installed a munters finger throttle on my m8 turbo, it is not an easy install by any means. Its suppose to come with a more aggressive cam that get attached to the throttle body. It's not as simple as switching out the throttle. Be careful flicking the throttle mine developed a crack where the cable comes in.
Gonna be interesting 🤔 quick question on my old 15 cat with the telescoping bars I would I always run them all the way up when riding I’m 6’1 and now I gotta new 2021 hardcore what size risers would you recommend I was thinking maybe a 6,7,8 inch riser just don’t know ?
I have 51 years of snowmobiling experience over 40 years of mountain extreme mountain riding finger throttles not a good thing lost a few good friends due to finger throttles but I only have 51 years of snowmobiling experience so I don't suggest that they are a good thing sad day when you got to go to a funeral because their finger throttles
Care to elaborate? Seems like you're coming in here full of emotion but didn't bother explaining any sort of technical details on why or how they are dangerous. I'm thinking I need a dirtbike throttle myself, as I've spent over 15 years on them, and only a couple on a sled. I cuss the thumb throttle all day every day but laziness prevails so far.

I got a Munster finger throttle on my 15 HCR. Love it. Went with the Munster kill switch and reverse switch as well

Just put this on my Viper MTX. Can't wait to try it out once I figure out why it won't start after the throttle install lol
Got mine last year for my m8000. Absolutely love it!

Great video thanks man!!!!!
Hey what's Mr. Chows thoughts on his new munster finger, is he in love or what? Need a good review on this thing guys.

You mentioned hand guards, it still works good with the doo flexible guards then? Enough room behind them to get it and the throttle guard to fit?
@@kalenpeters8658 yup. no problem.
@@jimhebert3490 Thanks!
Just bought a 2016 Polaris pro rmk that has a finger throttle on it never tried it out yet

I had it on my summit I loved it but my alpha I bought it haven’t installed it yet
I remember you guys had experience with it a few years back and hated it? Wasn't one on that cat that had the purple shiny wrap?
lol I've been running my throttle upside down on my cat lol... i hate thumb throttle!
Now that you aren't at Ralph's... are you offering sled repair maint out of your shop?
You betcha!
With the big court bs with ski doo and Arctic cat can you still buy used arctic cats just fine?
Check kijiji
Lucky I don’t get snow here till like November in NB
Bummer.. I got a trip planned on nov12 -15 , only 4 hour drive

The new thing is running short risers now. A lot of people run them really low.
@@syxxes that’s what I though just wanted a second opinion!
Are you gonna be riding the 2014 again this winter?
Been thinking of doing this to my sled. Thinking using a thumb to grip the bars is a better grip. Does kit come with the guard?
The kit doesn't come with a guard, I think it's an extra $80cdn. It's worth the extra cash though.
Did Shaun ever sell his Polaris?
Another Syxxes vid my withdrawals have settled.
I once knew a girl who liked the finger throttle.
Won’t ever go back to a thumb throttle. Give it 3 full days, by the 3rd day you’ll love it.
“Two birds stoned at once” 😂😂😂
As the great Ricky would say
Don’t worry Ben! I’m sure you’ll finger it Out!!🥶
