    *My greatest concern is how to recover from all these economic and global troubles and stay afloat especially with the political power tussle going on in US. The government has really called things more difficult for its citizens, and we can't sit back and bear all the consequences of the bad governance. We need to take our financial life serious... I recommend stock market investment and digital currencies*

      QE in any form... say printing money, bailouts, bail ins etc all cause infaltion. Printing of money is only one way to devalue the purchasing power of the dollar or any currency for that matter. At some point if we keep going down the path the dollar's purchasing power goes to zero. Meaning we get a Germany after WWI event where folks were buying a loaf of bread with a wheelbarrow of cash. The US government is not going to let this happen. They are going to wait for a financial accident (we are almost there) and then they are going to roll out the CBDC. Americans are so stupid they are going to buy into it and they will lose financial freedom and will own nothing. Should folks talk bad about the government they will just turn off those folks ability to use CBDC and they will not be able to pay their bills or buy food. It is the ultimate control. That is what is coming. This is the last stage of Captalism. But we haven't had true capitalism for over 40 years because if we did we would allow companies to fail not bail them out with state money (taxes). It is really simple as that. Horrible? Of course but nothing will be able to stop it now. The Debt levels are too high.

      He means we are in the middle of the reset. Middle is not being used as a position, it's being used as in; currently ongoing/happening. For example, you can tell someone you are in the middle of shopping. That doesn't mean you are in the middle of the store or in the middle of your shopping list. It means you're currently or in the process. The word middle is being used loosely or in a slang term type of way. You don't understand that which is why it may seem to be confusing or conflicting.

David, a good litmus test for the lunatic fringe is to ask esch of your guests, at the start, if they agree that the world is heating up, if it is human-induced, and if carbon pricing is the most efficient method of reducing emissions. This man speaks from dogmatic belief, not monetary rigor. Unfortunately, it is impossible to have a gold-backed currency: gold is inelastic, and we live in a fluid credit-based system. The monetary base needs to be able to expand (or contract) alongside the economic activity and credit issuance, otherwise growth is constrained. Imagine going to your commercial bank for a mortgage (which is a money creation event) and they say "Sorry sir, we dont have enough gold in our vault to back up the credit". That is why, if we oversimplify the matter, Nixon had to end the gold peg in 1971.

    • @farmerdude3578

      Depends on the price of gold and the percentage of the backing.

    • @HectorYague
      @HectorYague 8 месяцев назад

      @@farmerdude3578 not really. Even if gold gets repriced up to faithfully match the current amount of currency in the US... then what? Moving forward, you'd still have an inelastic asset trying to peg a fluid credit-cased system. Again, it is conceptually incompatible.

    • @farmerdude3578
      @farmerdude3578 8 месяцев назад

      @@HectorYague Gold is not inelastic. It’s mined at nearly the same rate as a economy grows. Also as you become more productive that production will allow you to buy more. This increases productivity. Fiat however drives debt and mal investment. Driving up the wealth gap with the help of inflation. Sound money may not be perfect but will stand in times of trouble.

    • @HectorYague

      IMO we are in the bubble of all bubbles. This was created by free money for the last 14 years. When it pops, everything is going to go down in value, Gold, silver, BTC, stock ... all of that. The only things that might do well is commodities and middle to long end treasuries. The dollar might go up as this will be a flight to safety and while the dollar sucks it will be the best in a crappy house. What we are getting ready to experience is collateral and liquidity crisis. Things are actually worth half of what folks think they are and when they figure this out everyone is going to need liquidity. This will cause them to sell everything to get that liquidity. This is why gold is not a hedge to a bad economy it is a hedge to a bad dollar. The dollar compaired to other currencies is most likely going to go up not down in this crisis. Don't believe me ... do your own research. This is how I see it playing out. I am very scared for what is coming. Folks say everything is fine ... I don't see it that way at all.

    The great reset is when everything is going to be repriced in a new currency that will also be a hard asset. Bitcoin’s lightning network is obviously the best choice for digital trust-less global trade. Gold, it’s difficult to prove the assets exist and much more difficult to transport.

      @@johnnyhshify No shit Sherlock, but if they had the existing digital technology at the time they wouldn’t have used gold if they also had the option to use bitcoin. Many different commodities were used as currency over the millennia. And guess what, when a better form of money came along that was better than what they used, they would switch to the new currency. Ancient Rome crashed although they used gold for trade. Why did they crash and burn? Monetary debasement. How you ask? Citizens would insidiously shave away at the gold, making the coins smaller and smaller in size and worth, causing inflation in the price of goods and services. The shavings were also melted and used as money. More and more smaller currency units, that were worth much less than the original coins, caused the inflation.
