I am LOVING the way you are formatting your reactions with the dance practice guesses and then the actual MV…. I think you should add on the live performance videos of your reactions as well just to make it even hotter and give us more content from you because the live performances transcends EVERYTHING and we would get a kick out of your reactions NGL lbvvs You Would Be Flabbergasted 😂🤣😂🤣They do these choreos WHILE singing and rapping LIVE and sound BETTER than the studio versions….I’m tickled pink and am here for the long run
💕💖💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💖💕. Please React To ‘Tomorrow’ 🙏🏽 There isn’t a MV for it but they have a dance practice and live performances

Gentlemen, makeup is just for the stage. The guys don’t wear it when they are home. Using MJ & Prince is just easier reference. Just to add to this - actors (men), doesn’t matter their race, wears makeup on screen to make the scene look better. Let us move on from this. Liking another man’s feature doesn’t mean you’re gay. Remember love yourself & speak yourself! 💜

The man is literally known as WWH - World Wide Handsome. 😂😂😂😂 Beauty and recognition of it is not a sexuality issue. I am a black cis-gendered female (my daughter will be proud of me for using correct terms 😃) and I can freely say if another woman is beautiful. Umm you wish you knew what he was saying? 5:31 That is the oldest JIN who is currently in the military along with fellow brother JHOPE … in certain overseas countries such as Korea, all abled Korean males are required to do at least 1 1/2 to 2 years of military service between ages 16-30 years old, if they hugely known celebrities like asian actors and k-pop artists they usually get to wait until they’re 30 unless of course something unexpected happens in-between then they’re either forced to retire or go on hiatus to reflect which sometimes the person doesn’t return and/or voluntarily enlists as a way to reflect on life or whatever.
*Of course nothing like that happened with JIN or JHOPE, they just reach age and they’re having to their service until toward the end of 2024 to mid 2025 which goes for all BTS members.*

Our boys came from much more humble and raw beginnings than you can imagine. Yes, they're a working machine now. But that was built over 10 years of hard work and smart business decisions.
Also, instead of BTS being the ones that are produced by the machine, rather the boys of BTS are THE CORE of the machine. That machine doesn't work without these exact seven boys.
Our boys have always been part of the business side and artistic directions. That's because they started off with very little staffs and very little budget.

English is actually taught starting in elementary school in South Korea. Some parents even pay to send their kids to private "English Kindergartens". Do note, the school system there starts at 1st grade - with students being 8 years old. Kindergarten is not mandatory - nor is it usually for 5 year olds - like it is in the U.S. Between 5-7 years of age, children are often still in some form of daycare facility if mom and dad both work. The thing is, South Korea is pretty much 95% native Koreans. So, while English is taught early on, the population, as a whole, usually don't have the opportunity to speak it too often, and many get shy around English speakers because 1 - they're worried about their accent and/or 2 - they're worried they're going to mix up their words and embarrass themselves or have people laugh at them. (Which really sucks! I mean, when learning ANYTHING new...we ALL make mistakes. That's a natural part OF the learning process. I wish they wouldn't be so afraid.)
Side Note: Google translate SUCKS! LOL Be VERY careful when using it. If you're curious enough to want to translate something, Papago is actually the best translation site ARMY found so far, but it's still not 100% accurate all the time as many words in Korean can be 2, 3...even 7 or 8...different things based on context. Weverse (originally created for fans to interact with BTS) used Google at first...until J-Hope uploaded a picture of Jimin and...honestly, I don't even remember the one-word comment J-hope left on the pic, but I DO remember that Google translated it to "Cum". Sadly...the pic was of Jimin, looking up, with his mouth open (kind of that "Oh!" of surprise when someone snaps your pic and you didn't realize they're about to do it)...which REALLY didn't help the faulty translation!!!! Poor Jimin...Poor J-Hope...LOL
Back to the make-up debate: There are PLENTY of pictures of Marvin, Al, Luther, and others getting their make-up done before their shows. Stage lights - that is, professional stage lighting - and no make-up means you're going to be nothing but a pair of eyes...and teeth when you sing/rap. Well, and for those with paler skin, of course, a pair of nostrils. Did Marvin or Luther do blush or eye shadow? No. Well, not that we know of, anyway. For them, it was mostly foundation, maybe a bit of concealer (touring accents those "lovely" dark circles under your eyes with such a crazy schedule and lack of sleep), of course. Plenty of males in jr. high and high school use concealer to cover their acne. However...where in the store do you find concealer and foundation? Yep...the make-up section! Thus, to say "Black artists don't wear make-up" is NOT correct. To say "Black artists don't wear make-up like K-Pop idols do" IS correct. I think it's more about the actual words/wording than the statement in and of itself. On stage (musicians, actors, comedians, presenters, even sometimes down to politicians depending on where they hold their press conferences and such) you have to wear some make-up so you don't look washed out.
As for the whole "I'd kiss him" thing...IDGAF. LOL I don't care about your sexuality...straight, bi, gay or otherwise..if you're comfortable in who YOU are, that's all that matters. To me, it just doesn't make sense for it to be okay for women to say another woman is beautiful, but guys are only "allowed" to comment on another guy's muscles...IF that. If someone is pretty, they're pretty. If someone is handsome, they're handsome. No matter what gender you are or what gender they are! I'm glad Jody, and apparently Saddler, are comfortable enough in themselves to be able to admit that about various members of BTS.

Where y'all from? I'm from Detroit so Motown and like I mentioned before We adopted Prince. Prince has always been about funk and soul. Prince music always represents black culture. YT folks liked his songs but his songs have always been for the Culture! He's just eclectic and alternative. There are many black artists who are part of the culture who are eclectic and alternative. I think you guys are great so please don't take my criticism to heart. I just need you to really understand on your platform. There's no way of saying to a foreigner here's the music that represents black culture. Because rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz, blues, gospel is all black culture!

Love the reaction!! 🫶🏽 And I think what others (or some) were trying to say, in regard to makeup, is that mostly all artists/actors of every cultural background wear makeup on stage. It's "stage makeup" to make you look good on camera. Even if it's just light makeup to smooth/even skin tone, artists have their make up done prior to performing or shooting an MV. It's just not as noticeable. However, K idols makeup is a little heavier for various reasons so its more noticeable. But they don't wear makeup in their daily lives. It's just for the stag/perfomances.

FYI guys, for the dance practice the track was the original Mic Drop without Steve Aoki. The chorus in that song is fully in Korean. So, for this song in particular, there is a mostly Korean version. As you saw in the guide BTS were put down and ridiculed for being from a small company, their name, and some for becoming Idols. Many groups looked down on them and made fun of them to their faces. The guys never said anything back, just kept working hard. This track is a public, "Look at me now bitches! You wish you were me but you never will be." Nobody deserves to clap back more than these guys. I can understand why you gravitated to the choreo of the dance practice cuz it was sick and had harder elements towards the end. There were also background dancers and J-Hope went hard!! This was more prep for live shows. If you wanna see an MV with more background dancers and hypeness I'd recommend Not Today, On Kinetic Manifesto MV, Fire, or Idol. 💜

Mic drop' is a popular gesture to win and announce that you have just 'finished'. This song acts as a boastful follow-up to the previous track 'SKIT: Billboard Music Awards Speech'. In this song, BTS showcases the results of their hard work, such as winning a number of music awards from both Korean and US nominations.
The group also explained that 'MIC Drop' was specifically inspired by the iconic 'Obama out' microphone drop at his recent White House Correspondents' Dinner.
It can be translated to "we have no grapes at our concert(s)", where "grape" is a metaphor or idiom commonly interpreted by some speakers as "we have no vices at our concerts". However, native speakers on Instiz claim that it means 'we have sold so many tickets that there are no more seats'.
However, this is roughly interpreted as "you're a bad ratatouille, if you're jealous, sue me", which completely abandons its metaphorical approach.

Bts were heavily inspired by MJ. We used those examples for makeup. They are also heavily inspired by early hip hop and if you watch Hip Hop Phile, they call it out. They also represent Korea and makeup is a thing. Also, makeup was invented by men for men, before women wore it. Jody is right, it’s ok to admire the beauty. As far as being manufactured though, BTS did audition, but their company was a little outside the box with them. If you watch the guide, and the Rise of Bangtan you will see. Tks guys!

I figured that Make up was More Unisex than Strictly for Males or females, because in Ancient Asian Arts and Mask wearing, or even African Face paintings or for War purposes in Any culture, is still a form of Makeup. Now as for beauty it was Females that wore it and Fashion wise, but for War, I Cultural ARTS 🎭🎨 and Face paintings and tattoos/body art and tribal art and so forth, that was Neither Feminine or masculine, but Unisex. But I believe that Only when it came to Fashion and Beauty did it move towards or Favor the Female side of things, that's all. And in Any culture or Country I mean😊🤓

@@bulletproofwaafle7770 Thank you yes, I agree. It definitely started out as ceremonial. I think that leaders wore it all the time as part of their flexing and not wanting to be viewed as common. I think of all the men in powdered wigs with full face makeup as well. They mentioned men don’t wear it in America but I think many do now you just can’t tell as much as it’s more of the “Weatherman” style of mostly trying to look better on film and people can’t tell. I think I read that in the US, 17% of men wear makeup and it’s growing. It’s mostly stuff like BB cream. Brands like Chanel have have had a male line for years. I’m guessing they haven’t been in Sephora lately.

Agree w/ Jodi on his MJ and Prince take. Prince w/ all his make up and heel wearing is one of the sexiest man/performer I have ever seen. True....they are artists of and for the world same w/ BTS.
What I do know though is that Elvis was heavily influenced by Black music when he was starting out and made use of some of their music and since he made some popular in a way appropriated them a bit unfairly to the prejudice of the original artists of those music.

I like Saddler, cos he has a much more mature outlook. He’s absolutely correct. Music shouldn’t be about which race it’s meant for. It transcends race, gender, etc! How can you believe and say that the two legends Prince an and MJ’s music doesn’t represent black people, when they were so loved by all races globally. I’m a black South African and I grew up on MJ and Prince’s music, which was played in my household all the time and everywhere else in our communities. Secondly makeup is used by everyone in the entertainment industry, appearing on the screen!! Everyone including male newsreaders and male talk show hosts, let alone musicians. It’s not a big deal. It’s just to enhance their appearance on screen. That said, open your minds a little bit more. You will enjoy so much more in life. And please please watch Hip Hop lover next! You’re gonna enjoy so much. There’s no dance practice though, cos there’s no MV. Just a live performance. You’re gonna love it. Guaranteed!!👌🏽See you in the next video. ✌🏽

My daughter was an English teacher in South Korea for 6 years…her students were age 4-7. She also did private tutoring with older students. SK really pushes learning English… I believe it is also a part of their SAT testing for college. Most Koreans read English better than they speak it which is typical of anyone learning another language. Learning textbook English is different than learning conversational English.

Watch lyric videos for the rap line, they will tell you their idols in hip hop. They are not just given music to do, they studied, they write, they produce, they have their inspiration and idols and give them much props.
J-Hope met his idol J Cole during Lollapalooza and this year and resulted in coming out with a collab , dream come true for him. You should check the mv and behind the scenes.

First, let me say my sister and I are loving your reactions! Hilarious 😂
That said, Michael Jackson and Prince ARE part of black music and black culture! You can't dismiss them because the music is different from what you think black music should be. You said Prince was rock... First of all, Prince is also funk! And second, ROCK IS PART OF BLACK MUSIC! What about Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard and James Brown?? Where do you think Michael Jackson and Prince got their inspiration from?? Where do you think people like Usher and Bruno Mars got their influence from....they got a lot of Michael Jackson and Prince influence in them because they ARE part of black culture and black music. If it wasn't for Michael Jackson and Prince, black music would have never been seen on international music programs like MTV!
Come on guys. That was not a great statement to make. I think you need to actually listen to the full body of work from both artists and also study the origins of rock, funk, and early black musicians.

The dance practices are mainly geared for their live performances. In their music videos, a good portion of the dance remains, but it’s not solely dance. Just as a heads up if you’re doing dance practices before the MV. Live performances are a whole other level and they do not lip sync. Meanwhile, their MVs are almost all practical effects. Cars were really set on fire and exploding.
This song was to flex to their haters. As you’ve seen, they started from the very bottom and fought every inch of their current way and are still fighting. They don’t play by the industry standards, they don’t cater to higher ups, they stay true to themselves and ARMY. This is why Billboards, Grammys, and other American awards change their rules as soon as BTS or a member of BTS releases and album. BTS has proved they don’t need to pay off higher ups in the music business, as long as ARMY is supporting them, that’s what they care about. As you watch some of their shows, you will see how much they respect and care about their fans and the same applies for ARMY (true ARMY, not the sasaengs/fake fans).

Oh nah Michael Jackson and Prince are black culture. Michael Jackson is basically the start of pop. That's why he is the king. A lot of Prince music is Rnb/rock. Michael Jackson never changed himself to look like a white person to appeal to white people. The world loved Michael since he step into the game. He was always a megastar since he was a kid. He was the first world Megastar

My favorite line from RM/Kim NamJun is "baby watch yo mouf, it come back around". Like if you speak ill on BTS Its gon come back and bite you in the azz. 💜💜HATERS GON HATE
1st off Bro you lost me at thinking Prince wasn't Black Culture. You mentioned MG, LV, AG and they were a whole azz generation prior to where Most Black people had grown too when Prince and MJJ were running the game. I never write comments. But you need to know there's legit black folks stanning BTS that are fully immersed in OUR music. BTS aint kpop they are BTS pop.
For MJJ and Prince, Remember The Time, Keep it in the closet, Diamond and Pearls, Purple Rain Were Black Music. Rick James and Luther Vandross existed during the same time but they represented different spectrums of blackness. The way YOU see MJ and Prince is kinda narrow. Air force ones or gators or perry ellis is all black culture Right?. You wrong saying Prince for sure wasn't FUBU! BTS is multi cultural but nobody saying they are black culture.
2nd Sadlerw Ward is mad wrong about how BTS was formed. They were from an indie label and they grew that company ON THEIR BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS to have you reacting for a cut of what they built.

23:45 This _is_ the English version... to a point. There's still Korean in it, but the original song was almost entirely in Korean.
The dance practice that you guys watched used the original version. I think the original sounds a little harder/cooler.

Watch this video with the captions on, you will find the lyrics a cool flex against their detractors. BTS is so good and loved because of the message in their songs, their music is the best, with solid bass tracking and dang good unique superb instrumentation. Watch some of their live performances and you will understand why they are the best. Jody, music transcends all language and race. Same goes for beauty, it transcends gender, complimenting a person's good looks does not make one gay or queer. A lot of good musicians, wear makeup on stage and set, period, the best ones always do, doesn't matter if they are black, white, yellow or brown! If you are a professional, it is only right to look your best, well groomed, styled and suited for performances. Saddler is really smart, cool and on point! Just another feedback, try to finish the video before the comment and you will enjoy the MV's better, without being distracted.

as the internet makes more and more music and history easily accessible, ive noticed a shift in music as black artists feel more comfortable branching out. i mean a lot of music and culture came from us anyways, but its like we keep getting pushed out of the spaces we created into little corners lol. like how u mentioned prince was more rock and roll, we made that anyways! though i think i get what you mean. his and michael's music wasnt centered around black culture (i think i understood that right?).
i think its also important to note that every queer rights movement has been led by black queer people, too. since black culture and hiphop havent ever been accepting of that side of our history, though, i think it gets forgotten and people refuse to acknowledge it or associate with it. im not tryna say anyone here is homophobic or anything lol its just generations of learned behavior that i hope we can unlearn over time :) nail polish and eyeliner isnt a gateway to suckin and fuckin LMAOO
i rlly like discussions like this lol so thanks for your perspectives!

I think it's best to watch the MV first (with captions) and then the dance practice. That way you get the song, the visuals, the lyrics, the story telling the way it was meant to be taken initially. First impressions matter and doing the dance practice first kind of spoils it. Of course it's your channel and you can do it however you want. But that's just how a lot of people do it just because you get the whole package when you do the MV first.

If you like the rappers in their element, check out RM’s “Joke” from like 2015 (don’t use auto captions-ALL wrong) and Suga aka Agust D (his rap solo name) “Daechwita” 2020 and “Haegum”was released this year, followed by “Amygdala”, it’s a trilogy so watch in that order. J-Hope also have solos and headlines Lollapalooza. Check that out.
