- In this video I take a Juniper where the foliage has become blob like, prune and wire it to create space between the branches, making it into a lovely bonsai tree.

Yes! Thank you for showing us the boring! That’s the best part!
Wait till I really bore you.
I just finished working on 15 of my Bonsai, mostly Junipers. I was so happy restyling my trees and I repotted two only trimming less than 1/3 of the roots. I wired too. And all this time I remembered a lot of your guidance about what to do. I’m so grateful to you for taking the time to teach us. And it has made my time with my trees so peaceful and relaxing❤️❤️❤️
I love Junipers! This are my favorite kind of Bonsai.
Absolutely inspiring and beautiful. I wouldn't change anything about the way this was styled. Here's to a new beginning.
I recently bought a little mass-produced, "half-trained" Chinese Elm online (not my favorite type of material to work with, but I was curious and it was cheap!) When it showed up it basically looked like a lollipop with a coiled trunk. No side branches to speak of, just a dense little pompom on the very top, growing out of the sides of a blunt chop. I'm really at a loss for how to get started on it! Would love more videos on how to make these very artificial-looking starters into something decent. This juniper looks like it may have started as something similar. :D
I'd let it grow out a bit from the sever chop before trying to style it anew
Repetition is indeed the key. As a beginner in year 3 of my bonsai fever dream 😂 I can never get enough of the basics as when I'm faced with my own developing trees I seem to lose all notion of what I'm supposed to do...learn by doing and watching. May you grace us with your bonsai-ness for many years to come Peter. You are brilliant. Thank you, thank, thank you 😊
A nice newly designed juniper and a nice non-Hawaiian🙂👍 shirt.
I lay in bed with my 2 year old son and we always watch every video until the end . Thanks to you my 4 year old son is very interested in the art of bonsai also
I do confess watching your videos is becoming addictive. Even if the topic repeat sometimes, there is always something new, something fresh and precious to discover (that might not even be totally Bonsai related but for daily life). Happy that you take us with you and film it.
Thank you for filming this for us, your RUclips friends!
Every video open my mind, thank you for sharing Mr. Chan, I really appreciate it
Clip and grow is also a viable option.
I love seeing Peter repot in full and all the maple stuff❤❤
I could listen to this man for Hours.
I wasnt sure about the thinning out at the start since i prefer the more thicker bonsai tops but good lord did the end result look better
Wow another amazing job Peter. You make it look so easy. And you work so fast. I love you just watch you. Thank you.
Never boring. You are an Artist. I don’t even have any bonsai, maybe some day though. I enjoy watching you because you are calm and interesting and seem to have real joy for your art. Thank you for sharing
Each tree presents different challenge. It's always interesting to see how you solve it. Well done again.
I am never bored with your videos. It is a pleasure to see a Master at work. I have learned so much since finding your channel a few weeks ago. You do such beautiful work! Thank you for sharing it with me.
This is a comment to raise the rating of the channel!))
Thx for sharing Peter 👍 😊
We never bored with you peter.
So professional and so lovely
Excellent work!
I can watch the videos over and over. I love how the angle really changed the tree.
One unique and gorgeous tree.

Good morning, herons team 🙌🏼
Junipers are my favourite

Looks excellent. Really enjoy your videos.
nice one
You make it look so easy ❤
What a fantastic result ❤
It is so amazing to watch you work. You’re a true artist!
I really enjoyed this video, thanks
Looks absolutely beautiful!
Thank you!
This one looks a little like mine you did at Lodder Peter!
Should I wait until the juniper gets to the size that I want it to be before trimming it for the first time or trim it as it grows?
Never rush to do anything - letting it grow bigger and stronger has its advantages too.
🥰
🌳👍
Buongiorno . How much does the arrangement of this bonsai cost? Tank you
His fee is $300 an hour.
There is no fixed or standard fee -sometimes I dont charge at all or if a tree takes many days to complete - how can I charge by the hour ??
I love this response! 😊@@peterchan3100
👍👌👌🙂
My Juniper keeps yellowing. What could be wrong?
Could be rotting roots?
Can you do some more videos while thinking out loud even more of what your seeing/thinking/ and trying?
It would be that much more helpful.
It would also be great for those that can no longer see, and miss this art.
At Wisley where we have our Herons Bonsai display, people who have visual disability touch our bonsai to discover what they look and feel like. It gives us so much joy when they can appreciate bonsai in this way.
@@peterchan3100 Didn't think of that aspect!!! Great!!
He’s so mean talking about the owners of the tree. I bet they watch this later and tell him where he can stick it.
People will be kicking themselves in few weeks if they miss the opportunity to buy and invest in Crypto as it's retracing....BE WISE
You need to learn to keep the foliage thinned out better. It all needs to get better light. That is why you have so much weak foliage.
First?
