well what i did (idk if its the same way he got this sound) was create a synth with really dirty sine waves with a sort of vinvyl sim pitch bending effect, put some reverb and lowpassed some highs out...its close to the sound, maybe my chords werent the same but i had played a cmaj7 (i think his had a flat 5) in my progression and it sounds super similar to the 1st chord played in this song heres what i made with it...really inspired by this beat here: soundcloud.com/chuckpariah/trkoise

and you can get that pitch bending effect with delay, just turn the dry signal to 0 and modulate the length of the delay
