Wow..what a brilliant episode- incredible videography and music, action, drama and scenery. The shots of the vehicles driving on the salt pans were fantastic too. Ending with a cliffhanger- 🐘 elephants walking through the camp... loved it!

Which month was this filmed ?
The Elephants did NOT touch either your Vehicle or the Ground Tents. Did they ?

Hey Matt, i know this is off topic and not something you usually do but could you make a video on what is really going on between FX USA and FX. I know there is a court case right now, but I figure as a collaborator with FX you would have some real insight on the situation and maybe some recommendations for US fx airguns owners

Visited Bain’s Baobabs in 2016 - seems the road is still as bad as it was back then. And the dust in the ruts around those pans is like moon dust - gets in everywhere!

If the road is wide enough, have you tried driving slalom zig zag style, this way you don't hit the corrugation square on but at an angle and this lessens the jolt. Try it..

Great video. I love the way you do your timelapses. How do you get them so smooth?

    another great video.
One question: what camera did you use for the night shots? Not the trail cam, but when the elephant came and you were by the fire?

@8:53 for Jongo, yes, the Baobab fruit is edible. It is slightly sour. We call it Mowana in Setswana (both Baobab tree and fruit)

I understand your apprehension with the Ellies. We were in Mana Pools a couple of months ago and they walked around us as we were sitting in our chairs in the afternoon, a meter away from us. An amazing experience. Not that I am an expert on the matter by any means, but we got the sense that if they come into your environment, as opposed to you going into their space, and you sit quietly, they are not concerned by you. What a privilege in this amazing place!

Well Mat, You and your fellow travellers have absolutely out done yourselves. The whole experience has made me wish i was forty years younger, the sheer diversity of wildlife , culture and spectacular scenery is simply impossible to imagine... I have however, been lucky enough to extensively travel and explore my home country of Australia.
