@@JohnnyBurginBlues The 1st set always starts one of my original instrumentals 'What If?'. The 2nd set opening is 'Funky Mama' loosely based on 'Cleo's Back'. The 3rs set is either Freddie King's 'San-Ho-Zay' or Booker T's 'Green Onions' which morphs into Sonny Boy Williamson's 'Help Me'..Here's Funky Mama' from a blues jam that I hosted. I usually will start off a jam because most bass players can follow the bass line, and guitarists too that have never played it..ruclips.net/video/wckhM1lsD_A/видео.htmlsi=R89JVO8y3znfGE5Y
Arigato for sharing your deep research…very inspirational to us stuck out here a million miles from nowhere in a one room coconut shack. I remember putting sets together with only having one or two guitars and wanting to play songs in different tunings. I would start in standard tuning maybe do Big Road Blues in drop D then do something in open G then something in open D it worked you kind of brought your tuning of your guitar down with out a long tuning intermission . we have destinated guitars for different tunings and clamp on tuners now but it wasn't always that way.
Hey Johnny I’ve noticed that you mostly hold the pick with your thumb and middle finger instead of your index finger. Do you have a video talking about that ?
what's up Mark? sorry I missed your comment. I sort of balance my hand that way, I only do that when I'm trying to play fast and clean single notes, not so much on a lump or something like that. rock on my friend!
