The language is so beautiful in listening along with its peoples that i stayed till the end just reading the subs and without understanding what they are saying in it, which i generally dont do in other counterparts where i just skips and somehow ends the vid.

No, it's just an Arabic dialect, it's so similar to Standard Arabic, most of the dialect (%99) are Arabic words not Coptic, I am Egyptian and I know it, the evidence that every other Arab can understand us, and we can understand them too, Coptic is long gone and extinct and won't ever comeback.

I studied in Egypt for 5yrs but still can't keep up with how fast especially the women talk, my brain couldn't handle it I had to listen and focus completely just to get the point if not I'm loss😅😅😂😂

I'm using this video to learn arabic. Is Tim good enough that I could learn from him or does he make some errors I should avoid as a beginner. I'm asking because if he does make errors, as a beginner I wouldn't know and I would just take it all in, errors and all. I mean no negativity to Tim he sounds VERY fluent

Egyptians are not Arabs, but rather they write the Arabic language and are of non-Arab origins. The Egyptians are the Copts of the ancient Egyptian colloquial race, most of which are words from the ancient Egyptian language (Coptic) and sentence structures in the ancient Egyptian language.
You are so ignorant, 1400 years of Arab colonization and settle (and other races too who accepted Islam) and you think Egyptians are still copts, copts are a small Ethnic-Religous Christisn miniority now. And I am an Egyptian speaking to you. We are indeed Arabs. Even if some are copts their culture and language and history and goals are those of the Arabs. And they have Arab blood running in their veins. And that's the defention of an Arab, Again we are indeed Arabs.

MSA is like Latin a language without native speakers. Only the written language, news and cartoons for children are in MSA. But nobody ever speaks MSA. Also not in university, school, and so on, MSA is never spoken. Imagine if the Roman countries still wrote in Latin but did everything else in Italian, Spanish, etc.

The elegance of the Arabic language, in my opinion, is really diminished by dialects.
Is it even worth it for an European man to try to learn Arabic, considering how many dialects of arabic there are in the world, and classical arabic is hardly spoken by anyone on a daily basis, and in addition, arabs (especially young and middle-aged arabs recognize it) may make fun of you if you speak traditional arabic on the street. Any honest opinion from Arabic natives?
No one makes fun of a foreigner trying to communicate in MSA (not classical) Arabic as they appreciate you're not an Arab. If you learn egyptian dialect, every arab will be able to understand you, and it won't be hard to pick up other dialects from watching tv shows. If you don't want to study Arabic for religious purposes, then I recommend skipping out on MSA as it's not useful in everyday life. I've been studying MSA for 3 or 4 years now for religious purposes and have spent a lot of time in Arab countries and experienced this all first hand. It's hard for me to understand Arabs when they don't speak MSA, which is why once I've finished learning MSA I'll learn a dialect. To sum up, yes, it's worth learning if you're dedicated and have at least 12 hours to dedicate a week, 4 hours classes and 8+ outside of class.

Instead of teaching isolated Egyptian dialect please concentrate on MSA so people can benefit from something that is broadcasted throughout Arab world and even BBC Arabic, DW Arabic, Al-jaziira, Sky Arabic and so on.

Modern standard Arabic and a dialect of your choice (although Egyptian and levantine dialects are understood by virtually everyone in the Arab world) would absolutely be just fine. a dialect for the street and MSA to understand books, news etc .However if you want to understand serious literature , religious texts then you’ll need to learn Classical Arabic it all depends on the purpose of you wanting to learn the language.
That’s how natives did it learned classical at school and dialect at home. If two ppl from different parts of the middle east can’t understand each other and neither spoke English or French then they‘ll communicate in MSA. Those who make fun of non natives for speaking in classical Arabic had to study and speak it every week in school for 12 yrs so they’re not really the ones to talk :)

Go ahead and learn what is available to you. Classical Arabic is a great place to start. Then you can learn the dialects and differences on the ground of whatever country you choose to visit. Learning the roots of Arabic vocabulary is so interesting and so helpful no matter which Arabic-speaking country you’re in.
